Pakistan armed forces successfully carried out ‘Bunyanum Marsoos'

ISLAMABAD: In a bold and decisive response to unprovoked Indian military aggression, the Pakistan Armed Forces successfully carried out Operation 'Bunyanum Marsoos' as part of the larger military conflict codenamed Marka-e-Haq.
The operation, conducted on 10 May 2025, was launched after Indian forces initiated attacks during the night of 6 and 7 May, resulting in the tragic loss of innocent civilian lives, including women, children, and the elderly.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan had vowed retribution for the brutal attacks — a promise that the nation's armed forces have now fulfilled with precision and restraint.
'The Pakistan Armed Forces thank Almighty Allah for His divine support and mercy, which enabled us to translate our resolve into decisive action on the battlefield,' the statement read.
Precision Strikes, Measured Response
Operation Bunyanum Marsoos involved coordinated, multi-domain operations across air, land, sea, cyber, and space. Utilising long-range precision munitions, advanced loitering drones, and the Army's Fatah F1 and F2 missile series, Pakistan successfully targeted 26 high-value military facilities and command centers inside Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and mainland India.
Targets included Indian airbases at Suratgarh, Sirsa, Bhuj, Adampur, Srinagar, Jammu, and Pathankot; BrahMos missile storage sites in Beas and Nagrota; S-400 air defence batteries at Adampur and Bhuj; and various military logistics and intelligence installations responsible for instigating violence against Pakistani civilians.
Across the Line of Control (LoC), enemy posts, artillery positions, and headquarters involved in unprovoked firing on Azad Jammu and Kashmir were heavily damaged, with Indian units reportedly raising white flags and calling for restraint.
Cyber Front and UAV Superiority
ISPR revealed that the operation also featured advanced cyber offensives to disrupt Indian military communication and logistics networks. Dozens of armed Pakistani drones flew over major Indian cities, including New Delhi, demonstrating Pakistan's long-range unmanned aerial capabilities.
Western Front and Counter-Terrorism
While engaged on the eastern front, Pakistan simultaneously faced a surge in Indian-sponsored terrorist activity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Despite this, the armed forces conducted swift and effective counter-terror operations in the western region, proving their operational readiness on multiple fronts.
Acknowledgments and National Unity
ISPR extended heartfelt gratitude to the brave soldiers, airmen, and sailors who contributed to the success of the operation. Special appreciation was given to the youth of Pakistan for playing a frontline role in the information domain, and to the national media for resisting Indian disinformation campaigns.
The Armed Forces also thanked the diplomatic corps, political leadership, and Prime Minister of Pakistan for their unified stance, strategic decisions, and support during the crisis. Pakistani scientists and engineers were commended for their role in developing indigenous defence technologies that proved vital in the operation's success.
A Message to the World
Despite the scale of the offensive, ISPR emphasised that Pakistan's response was 'precise, proportionate, and restrained,' targeting only those responsible for atrocities against Pakistani civilians. 'Let no one doubt that any violation of Pakistan's sovereignty will be met with a comprehensive and decisive response,' the statement concluded.
'They plan and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.' — Surah Al-Anfal.

PTI concerned over delay in hearing of IK's cases

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab on Wednesday raised concerns over the delay in the hearing of cases against PTI founder Imran Khan, saying the trials were being intentionally stalled. It noted that once again, hearings in two fabricated cases against Chairman Imran Khan have been postponed; the proceedings, originally scheduled for this week, have now been adjourned for 20 days until July 1st. 'This calculated delay appears to serve two purposes: first, to limit Khan's ability to engage in political consultations related to the planned protest movement; and second, to push the matter into the judicial recess beginning July 1, which will halt court proceedings until August. This effectively ensures that Khan remains incarcerated without trial for an extended period,' it claimed. According to the PTI Punjab, the pattern is clear, false cases are filed, only to have their trials intentionally stalled. Lawyers are made unavailable, judges are conveniently on leave, and justice is obstructed at every turn. Those orchestrating these cases know well that a fair trial would see them dismissed as baseless. Since the passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the judiciary has been rendered ineffective, turning the legal system into a mockery. Despite our repeated efforts to seek justice through the courts, we continue to face disappointment. It warned that by restricting legal avenues, the system is pushing them towards the streets; if justice cannot be served in courtrooms they are prepared to seek it elsewhere. Pakistan rejects Indian minister's remarks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has categorically rejected the irresponsible remarks made by the external affairs minister (EAM) of India during different media engagements in Brussels. The discourse of top diplomats should aim to promote peace and harmony, rather than producing bellicose punch lines, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said in a statement on Wednesday. 'The tone and tenor of a foreign minister should be commensurate with his dignified status,' he added. For last several years, the spokesperson remarked 'India has been engaged in a malicious campaign to mislead the international community through a fictitious narrative of victim hood.' Pakistan rejects Modi's misleading remarks However, Ambassador Khan pointed out 'India's continued anti-Pakistan diatribe cannot hide its sponsorship of terrorism beyond its borders, nor can it cover up the state-sanctioned oppression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Instead of pointing fingers at others, India should introspect on its own involvement in terrorism, subversion and targeted assassinations. 'India must also desist from concocting misleading narratives to justify its recent aggressive actions. Pakistan believes in peaceful coexistence, dialogue and diplomacy. However, it stands resolute in its intent and ability to safeguard its sovereignty against any aggression, as exemplified by its robust response to India's reckless strikes, last month.' The spokesperson elaborated narrative emerging from India betrays sheer frustration, following an unsuccessful military adventure against Pakistan. 'The Indian leaders would be well-advised to improve the standard of their discourse and discard their obsession with Pakistan,' he said, adding the history will judge not by who shouted the loudest — but by who acted the wisest. It is worth mentioning that during his recent visit to Brussels, India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar issued a strong warning to Pakistan, stating India's preparedness to conduct strikes within Pakistani territory in response to terrorist provocations. 'We will go deep into Pakistan, India won't hold back now,' Jaishankar said this during his several meetings with EU leaders. He has also accused Pakistan of training 'thousands' of terrorists to deploy them across the border. The EAM's remarks came weeks after Pakistan's befitting response to India's naked aggression on May 7 and 10 respectively. Copyright Business Recorder, 2025

Pakistani who allegedly plotted US attack extradited from Canada

NEW YORK: A Pakistani man was extradited from Canada to the United States on Tuesday to face charges of plotting to carry out an attack on Jews in New York City, the Justice Department said. Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 20, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, was arrested in Canada in September. According to a criminal complaint, Khan planned to travel to New York and carry out a mass shooting in support of the Islamic State (IS) at a Jewish centre in Brooklyn on the October 7 anniversary of the deadly 2023 Hamas attack on Israel. 'He planned to use automatic weapons to kill as many members of our Jewish community as possible, all in support of IS,' US Attorney Jay Clayton said in a statement. Khan allegedly revealed his plans in conversations with conspirators who were actually undercover law enforcement officers, the Justice Department said. He was taken into custody by Canadian authorities in the municipality of Ormstown some 12 miles (19 kilometres) from the US-Canada border. Khan is charged with attempting to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization and attempting to commit acts of terrorism. He could face a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
