Hose, who plays for the Trent Rockets, slipped as he tried to make a catch.
He was left on the floor in agony with fans saying it was "one of the most terrible injuries I've seen on a cricket field".
Medics rushed over to him and a screen was held up while he received treatment.
After a delay of ten minutes, Hose was carried off and taken to hospital.
The star has now used social media to give an update on his injury.
He posted a snap of his ankle wrapped in a bulky cast as he watched Match of the Day.
Hose said: "Quick message to say I appreciate each and everyone of you who have reached out.
"It's going to be a long old ride, but I couldn't ask for more amazing people around me. Big love."
Another added: "Wishing you a speedy recovery."
Despite being a batter down, the Trent Rockets won in Hose's absence against the Southern Brave by four wickets.
The Isle of Wight-born star plays county cricket for Worcestershire.

The Documentary Podcast Dan Meis: Designing a football stadium

The inaugural premier league football match at Everton's much anticipated new stadium will kick off on 23rd August 2025, as the home side host Brighton & Hove Albion. Everton Football Club's radical new home was designed by innovative sports architect Dan Meis, who has developed a reputation for out-of-the-box, innovative thinking while creating projects that redefine their respective building types. This includes the design for the Staples Centre in Los Angeles and 'transformable' venue in Japan that mechanically changes from arena to stadium. In 2021, former professional footballer Neil Danns joined Meis, In the Studio, as he commenced the design process for the Everton's new football stadium. Neil examines the creativity it takes to bring a design to life, exploring the process of the designs, how progress is made and how the ever-present challenges are overcome.

How Bristol will use the box-office return of Louis Rees-Zammit to crack America

As Louis Rees-Zammit spoke to the media for the first time as a Bristol player at the club's state-of-the-art training centre on Tuesday, work was already well underway at the Bears on how best to benefit from his arrival. Rees-Zammit is a huge talent on and off the field. His rugby return from the NFL is good news for both the player and his new employers as the ambitious English club outfit looks to expand not only at home, but abroad. The USA, in particular, remains a target area for growth.

Aaron Boone walks back warning on Aaron Judge's arm

August 20 - New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone appeared to partially retract comments he made earlier Tuesday on the state of Aaron Judge's arm. The Yankees' captain and two-time American League MVP returned Aug. 5 from a brief stint on the injured list due to a flexor strain in his right elbow. He has yet to play the outfield since returning, playing only designated hitter, which has made it difficult for the Yankees to start both Judge and Giancarlo Stanton on a given day. Boone said in a radio interview early Tuesday that he did not know when Judge would be ready to take the field. "I don't think we're going to see him throwing like he normally does at any point this year, but that's OK," Boone told WFAN. "We've got to feel like he can go out there and protect himself." Judge did take part in a long toss before Tuesday's game at the Tampa Bay Rays and told reporters that the team will "be smart" with his ramp-up, but he admitted he was surprised to hear Boone's assessment. "He hasn't seen me throw the past two weeks," Judge said. "I'm pretty confident I'll get back to that." When it was Boone's turn to talk to the media before the game, he explained he may have overstated his stance and gave a more measured explanation. "Is he going to come back and be a 70-80 arm? I don't know that I'm expecting that necessarily," Boone said. "But when we get him back out there, I would expect him to be able to handle it." Boone did have Stanton in Tuesday's lineup at right field, although it may turn out to be a moot point as the game began in a weather delay amid pouring rain. Stanton had not played the field since Sept. 14, 2023, before he started in right field against Houston on Aug. 9. Stanton, 35, began the season on the injured list with soreness in both elbows and made his season debut in June. Judge, batting .333 with 39 home runs and 91 RBIs, had multiple extra-base hits for the first time this month on Saturday in St. Louis. He has a total of two home runs in his past 12 games. --Field Level Media
