Patient Attacks Doctor Inside Clinic in Kuwait and Flees

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: The Ministry of Health condemned the incident in which a patient assaulted a doctor at a primary healthcare center while he was performing duties inside the clinic. The assault resulted in various injuries and scratches on the body of the doctor, and then the assailant fled from the scene. This is a blatant violation of the sanctity of health facilities and the safety of their workers. The ministry affirmed that this act is a shameful and criminal behavior under Law No. 70/2020 on the practice of the medical profession.
It immediately took the necessary legal and security measures, in coordination with the concerned authorities, to ensure that the assailant is held accountable under the law. Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi and Undersecretary of the Minister Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi personally checked the condition of the assaulted doctor and assessed his needs

The latest price cuts embrace cancer drugs, antibiotics and medications of diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, asthma, arthritis, and skin and colon diseases. The medicine price list reductions come in the context of a national policy and continued review of repricing drugs, promoting the economic efficiency of the health sector, and ensuring low medication costs for citizens and residents alike, the ministry added.
