Sabrina Carpenter Drops Teaser in Micro Shorts and Chaos Ensues
Call your therapist, alert your group chat, and cancel your summer plans: Sabrina Carpenter is teasing something, and the Internet is already combusting.
Coming hot off the success of her sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet, the same sugary, slinky record that gifted us the cultural tsunami that was 'Espresso,' Carpenter is back to reclaim the crown she didn't even let go of. At this point, let's be honest: everyone else is just renting space in the pop landscape she now owns.
On Monday, Sabrina, pop's current it-girl and living embodiment of a Bratz doll with a publishing deal, casually detonated the timeline with a cryptic teaser on social media. The clip? A silent film femme fatale moment, if the femme fatale was blonde, 26, and dangerously close to being America's Next Sweetheart and Homewrecker
.
In the short video, Carpenter is seen hitchhiking in the most unserious outfit possible: micro denim shorts, a white crop top, heels, and the confidence of a woman who knows she just sold out arenas across Europe. There's barely any audio, just some off-camera laughter and a cheeky 'Oh boy,' delivered with all the nonchalance of someone who knows she's about to upend the pop charts again.
No context. No warning. Just legs, vibes, and viral potential.
Naturally, the Internet collapsed. By Monday afternoon, the teaser had already ignited a digital maelstrom, with Twitter/X users spiraling into lustful, chaotic worship:
'Second day of Pride and she knew exactly what would get my gay ass.'
'She didn't tell anyone and then BOOM she drops this crazy teaser… with a really
outfit.'
'My brake pads would've popped off by how fast I would've stopped the whip lol.'
'Are we seeing this? Am I ready? Are you ready? Is this for real? AHHHH
I cannot waittt!!!!!'
'I'm highkey getting distracted and I love it.'
If Sabrina's goal was to break the Internet with a 16-second serve and no lyrics, the mission was violently accomplished.
While Carpenter has remained tight-lipped about the actual meaning behind the teaser, fan theories are spiraling like espresso shots at 2 a.m. Many are convinced it's a visual hint for a new single, a follow-up to 'Espresso,' or potentially a long-awaited video treatment for Short n' Sweet's track 'Busy Woman,' a fan-favorite that's practically begging for a visual companion. And let's be real: if there's one thing Sabrina Carpenter knows how to do, it's give the girls (and the gays) the moment they need, not the one they expect.
The timing, of course, is suspiciously perfect. The North American leg of her Short n' Sweet World Tour resumes in July, and with her momentum showing zero signs of slowing, a new drop, be it a single, a video, or another sonic strut through feminine rage and flirty chaos, is more than likely. She is, after all, a busy woman.
And as if dominating the pop scene wasn't enough, Carpenter has been everywhere since wrapping her European tour in April. She recently appeared on Saturday Night Live alongside Quinta Brunson and sauntered into the Met Gala in a Louis Vuitton look that screamed: 'glamorous Wall Street mistress in the best way.' One-piece blazer. Thigh. Train. It was giving the CEO of Being the Moment.
There's also that juicy rumor about a possible role in Mamma Mia! 3, sparked after legendary producer Judy Craymer name-dropped Carpenter in an interview with Deadline:
'She'd be a goddess or some relation who would look very much like Meryl Streep.'
Let's pause. Sabrina Carpenter playing Meryl Streep's daughter in a musical about ABBA songs, Greek beaches, and unplanned pregnancies. Yeah. That's gay rights. While the film hasn't been confirmed (yet), early development is reportedly underway, and Carpenter is already the Internet's top contender.
Sabrina Carpenter isn't just playing the game anymore. She's setting the rules, changing the outfits, and telling you when to scream.
Short n' Sweet made her a superstar. 'Espresso' turned her into a cultural juggernaut. And now, whatever she's about to drop next? It's not just anticipated; it's being prayed for.
As we head into another sun-soaked, serotonin-starved summer, let's be clear: Sabrina Carpenter is not coming to play. She's coming to conquer, confuse, and make you question your sexuality in 15 seconds or less.
Oh boy, indeed.

This Titanic Polk Street Gay Bar Just Got Pulled Back from the Brink
Polk Street, where the first San Francisco Pride parade marched in 1970, just got great news: The last remaining gay bar in Polk Gulch got a big stimulus injection from a new owner. The Cinch Saloon, an icon in the area alongside the Grubstake Diner, opened in 1974. Now it'll get a second life from Scott Taylor, a beverage director at nearby Harris' Restaurant for 23 years. The news is more than just timely, given Pride. According to the San Francisco Chronicle , rumors had been in the air that the Cinch would close any day. One of the two former owners died in 2023. This Tuesday, June 3 announcement gives a spark of hope to the area that, once upon a time, was just as important a gayborhood as the Castro. Drag main character Juanita More told the paper she'd help Taylor keep the Cinch around 'for a hundred years.' New Oakland restaurant event debuts this summer The Oakland Restaurant Collective — a new-ish collection of business owners in the Town including chef Nelson German of alaMar Dominican Kitchen and the teams behind Jaji and the Caffè by Mr. Espresso — is about to run its first Summer Affair. There are a ton of events at participating restaurants to peep, too. Ferry Building croissant favorite set to shutter Back across the water, Grande Creperie on the waterfront is in jeopardy. The business, which opened in 2022, was informed its lease will end on June 30, 2025. The San Francisco Standard reports owners Patrick and Joanna Ascaso were told in January they'd have an extended lease. They say they were told by building management their outfit no longer fits the 'cultural mix' of the Ferry Building. Michelin star-holding restaurant rolls out affordable menu One of the city's newest additions to the ol' tire guide has just unveiled a plan to bring in diners on those nights that are decidedly less special occasion-y. On Monday, June 2 the team at 7 Adams released its 7 at 7 menu. In an Instagram post, the business owners said the idea is to offer a nightly, $127 seven-course menu somewhere between the $87 five-course menu and the $157 chef's counter experience.
