Man dead after stabbing in Toronto's east end

A man in his 20s in dead after being stabbed in Toronto's East Danforth area Tuesday night.
The stabbing happened near Danforth Avenue and Hillingdon Avenue, the Toronto Police Service said in a post to X.
Police were called about the incident just after 11 p.m. When they arrived, officers found a man suffering from stab wounds.
He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later died in hospital.
The homicide unit of the Toronto Police Service is now investigating.
Officers have taped off a section of Danforth Avenue between Coxwell and Hillingdon Avenues Wednesday morning while they investigate. Several evidence markers were placed in a parking lot at the scene.
Police are searching for a male suspect who is about five-feet-five-inches tall with a thin build, who was wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants at the time of the incident.

A fatal crash is being reported by London police. Around 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, police, fire and EMS were sent to the intersection of Hyde Park Road and Fitzwilliam Boulevard for a crash between a motorcycle and a sedan. According to police, a man from the motorcycle was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since succumbed to those injuries. The female driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries. The intersection was temporarily closed as investigators processed the area and collected evidence. The investigation has now been taken over by the LPS Road Safety Section and remains ongoing. There's no word on how the crash happened or possible charges.

Cocaine and meth seized in Leamington raid

Four people have been arrested after a drug bust in Leamington. On Friday July 11, the OPP Essex County Community Street Crime Unit, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP K9 Unit and Leamington OPP officers, executed a search warrant at an address on Erie Street South. Police seized quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a prohibited weapon and ammunition. As a result of the investigation, four individuals were arrested and charged under the Criminal Code. A 43-year-old Leamington woman was charged with: Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine Unauthorized Possession of Weapon Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition A 47-year-old Leamington man was charged with: Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine Unauthorized Possession of Weapon Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition A 25-year-old Leamington man was charged with: Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine Unauthorized Possession of Weapon Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition All three accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Aug. 18. And a 17-year-old youth was also charged with: Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine Unauthorized Possession of Weapon Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition Failure to comply with undertaking (Three Counts) The youth's identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). The youth was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor. Anyone with information regarding this or any other incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
