This is how a Clydebank man might look today after 22 years missing
The then 31-year-old was reported missing the next day, and his black Ford Focus was found near where he was last seen.
Detectives in Clydebank say extensive enquiries have been carried out to try and trace David, but so far there have been no confirmed sightings.
There were potential sightings of him in Sussex in 2017 and at the Tower Hill Underground Station in 2019.
David is described as 5ft 9ins tall, slim build, dark brown hair.
As part of a current review, age progression images showing how David might look now were created for the police by Dundee University.

Detective Inspector David Lavery, Dumbarton Police Office, said: 'We regularly review unsolved missing person cases and there have always been unanswered questions around David's disappearance.
'There have been a number of appeals over the years, including by the charity Missing People.org and on television documentaries.
'These latest images show what David may look like now. If anyone recognises David from these images, or has any information that can help our enquiries, please contact us.
'I would appeal particularly to anyone who was wild camping in the Lochan Maoil Dhuinne area the weekend David was last seen, as well as people who have worked with the homeless community in London over the years.'

A 37-year-old man was arrested and charged after a three-vehicle collision on the A84 at the entrance to Blair Drummond Safari Park at the weekend. The emergency services responded to reports of the crash at around 3.50pm on Saturday, August 2. The crash involved a Mercedes Vito Tourer, a black Seat Leon and Ford Focus Zetec on the A84 at its junction with Somers Lane, directly outside the safari park. A 40-year-old woman, who was a passenger within the Mercedes vehicle, was taken to hospital for treatment. A Police Scotland spokesperson added: 'A 38-year-old woman and a 46-year-old male, both passengers within the Seat Leon, were taken to hospital. 'The occupants of the Ford Focus were checked over by ambulance personnel and reported no injuries.' A 37-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences. He was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.
