Social media users wasted no time jumping into the conversation. One said, 'Firing him would increase the revenue.' Another user added a touch of optimism, saying, 'At least he is somewhat engaged and eager. Can't have it all can you?'
A third user commented, 'Next email… sorry if someone has already brought this up but… have you tried lowering your expenses?' Another X user said, 'You would be surprised how many companies have not, in fact, thought of doing that.'

Bengaluru: PM Modi to open long-awaited Yellow Line on Aug 10 easing commute to tech hubs
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the long-delayed Yellow Line Metro on August 10, connecting Rashtriya Vidhayala Road in South Bengaluru to Bommasandra on the east with 16 stations. The line is expected to ease the stress for thousands of technology workers who have been commuting to Electronic City and other nearby industrial hubs with work from office (WfO) now being a norm at many companies. Infosys and Biocon have funded Konappana Agrahara and Hebbagodi stations. Built at a cost of ?5,057 crore, the Yellow Line is expected to significantly ease congestion at the Silk Board junction and provide a faster, reliable alternative to the heavily trafficked Hosur Road. As per reports and experts, the metro will cut daily commute times by up to 60% on the Silk Board and Outer Ring Road (ORR) stretch. The 19.15 km line is expected to benefit nearly eight lakh daily commuters, especially those living in South Bengaluru and working in thousands of companies, both big and small, on either side of Hosur road. The major tech hub of Electronic City, a 902-acre industrial township is home to more than 300 companies including Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Siemens. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manoharlal Khattar said the PM will also lay the foundation stone of 44.65 km of Bangalore phase-3 at the cost of Rs 15,611 Crore. The Bengaluru Metro's Phase 3, also called the Orange Line, was approved by the Modi government in the first 100 days of coming back to power. The new line will expand the city's metro network by adding 44.65 km, including 31 stations in two phases. The orange line is expected to be completed by 202,9, covering Magadi Road to ORR, which houses many Fortune 500 companies and global capability centres (GCCs).Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya (BJP) said that together, these projects will benefit nearly 25 lakh people in Bengaluru South. 'With nearly 20,000 worth of Metro infrastructure dedicated to this region alone, we are incredibly grateful to PM Modi for his continued focus, affection, and commitment to Bengaluru South's public transport infrastructure,' he per officials, three driverless trains will be made operational every 25 minutes on the stretch. As per the employee commute platform MoveInSync's Half-Yearly Report, Bengaluru's average one-way commute time has jumped 16% in just one year. From 54 minutes in 2024, today it takes 63 minutes to travel an average distance of 19km in the city.

India's Chip Market Poised To Scale $110 Billion By 2030
New Delhi: India's transformation from a consumer to a key manufacturer in the global semiconductor value chain, with the chip market targeted to reach 100 to 110 billion dollars by 2030, is being driven by strategic initiatives launched by the government. These include the India Semiconductor Mission, rolled out with an investment of Rs 76,000 crore, the SEMICON India Programme, and global partnerships such as iCET, according to an official statement issued on Sunday. According to industry estimates, the size of the Indian semiconductor market was about 38 billion dollars in 2023, is projected to be 45 to 50 billion dollars in 2024-2025, and is expected to reach 63 billion dollars by 2026 and 100 to 110 billion dollars by 2030. With its fourth edition to be held in Delhi from September 2 to 4, Semicon India 2025 is set to showcase India's evolving role in the global semiconductor ecosystem, with participation from as many as 18 countries. The three-day event will bring together industry leaders, innovators, academia, government, and other stakeholders to drive collaboration and technological advancements across the entire supply chain. As approved facilities begin operations and new projects take shape, India is positioning itself as a trusted hub for semiconductor manufacturing, strengthening its digital economy, national security, and technological self-reliance. From dependence to dominance, the chip revolution is real and "it's happening right here, right now in Bharat", the statement said. In May 2025, the Union Cabinet approved the establishment of one more semiconductor unit under the India Semiconductor Mission. The unit approved is a joint venture of HCL and Foxconn. This plant will manufacture display driver chips for mobile phones, laptops, automobiles, PCs, and myriad other devices that have a display. The plant is designed for 20,000 wafers per month. The design output capacity is 36 million units per month. At the Global Investors Summit 2025, it was announced that India's first indigenous semiconductor chip would be ready for production this year. Five production units are under construction, signalling a significant milestone for domestic capability. To further strengthen the talent pipeline, the government has also initiated a program to train 85,000 engineers in advanced semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. Madhya Pradesh has taken a significant stride in the IT and electronics sector with the inauguration of its first IT campus, backed by an investment of Rs 150 crore over the next six years. Spanning 1 lakh square feet, the state-of-the-art facility is designed to support end-to-end manufacturing of IT hardware and electronic products under one roof. The plant will produce a wide range of components, including servers, desktops, motherboards, chassis, RAM, SSDs, as well as advanced technologies such as drones and robots. It will also manufacture desktop computers, all-in-one workstations, laptops, tablets, and monitors. The project is expected to generate employment for around 1,200 professionals, positioning the state as a growing hub for electronics manufacturing in India. In July 2025, Netrasemi, a startup supported under the government's chip design scheme, received Venture Capital (VC) investment of Rs 107 crore. The company is working on making chips for smart vision, CCTV cameras, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The global demand for chips is skyrocketing, but the supply chain remains very fragile owing to the concentration of the industry in a few limited geographies. There is a clear need for global diversification of manufacturing. India is emerging as a dominant player in this regard, the statement pointed out. Initiatives like including Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) as one of the key sectors under Make in India, or the India Semiconductor Mission and Semicon India programme, have helped create an ecosystem to support the industry. The global semiconductor market is expected to reach $1 trillion by 2030, with India's market occupying a substantial portion of it. India has the capacity to emerge as a key contributor to the 3 primary pillars of the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain: Equipment – leveraging strong base of MSMEs to produce components for semiconductor equipment: Materials - India is a rich source of chemicals, minerals and gases which can be utilised by semiconductor supply chain companies; and Services (R&D, Logistics and supply chain, major talent in AI, big data, cloud computing and IoT, the statement added.

Mumbai To Ahmedabad In 2 Hours: Indias First Bullet Train To Start Soon; Check Expected Speed
India's First Bullet Train: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday announced that India's first bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will begin operations very soon, reducing travel time between the two cities to just 2 hours and 7 minutes. He was speaking to reporters at the Bhavnagar terminus in Gujarat after virtually flagging off three trains, namely the Ayodhya Express, Rewa Pune Express, and Jabalpur Raipur Express. He further stated that the bullet train project is progressing rapidly. 508-Kilometre Rail Corridor The 508-kilometre high-speed rail corridor will connect Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) with key cities in Gujarat, including Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad. The trains are expected to run at speeds of up to 320 km/h. Vaishnaw also outlined several upcoming railway projects in Gujarat, including a new Porbandar–Rajkot train, a Rs 135-crore coach maintenance facility at Ranavav station, a railway flyover in Porbandar, two Gati Shakti cargo terminals, and a container terminal at a developing port in Bhavnagar. He highlighted the nation's progress, saying that during the last 11 years, 34,000 km of new railway tracks have been installed under the PM Narendra Modi administration, averaging almost 12 km per day. He described the 1,300 railway stations undergoing renovation as an unprecedented endeavour in the history of Indian Railways. PM Modi's Vision Ashwini Vaishnaw pointed out that India is implementing this change while maintaining train operations and keeping stations operational, which reflects the scope of PM Modi's vision, in contrast to developed nations, where station redevelopment entails completely stopping services. Adding further, he cited the introduction of contemporary trains such as the Vande Bharat Express, the Amrit Bharat Express, and the Namo Bharat Express. Eight Amrit Bharat trains with high-class amenities and reasonably priced tickets have been introduced thus far. According to the minister, passengers have responded favorably to these new trains, which were constructed using cutting-edge technology. With the help of double-engine governments in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, significant railway projects are also progressing in those states, in addition to Gujarat, the minister highlighted.
