CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — Sagui Dekel-Chen's father conducted an on-camera interview talking about his son's release from being held captive in Gaza.
The 36-year-old grew up in Bloomfield but has duel U.S. and Israeli citizenship. Dekel-Chen was captured on Oct. 7, 2023.

Rescue crews rushed to the Berwick-Nescopeck Bridge just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Police say a man was fishing when he fell into the river and never resurfaced. Authorities say the man is believed to be in his 30s or 40s, with blonde hair and possibly wearing an orange shirt or none at all with brown shorts. It's unclear when the search will resume. BRIAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The search of the Susquehanna River continued on Sunday for a man who reportedly fell into the water and never resurfaced in Columbia County. 28/22 News checked out the area Sunday afternoon in Briar Creek Township, just below the Berwick-Nescopeck Bridge. Search on hold for missing fisherman in Columbia County Crews were back there for a second day following reports of a fisherman falling in the river Saturday afternoon. Rescue boats hit the water, but again found no one. 28/22 News spoke with police who say there is no word on if or when a river search will resume in the Berwick area.
