Longtime WWE On-Air Personality Exits Company After 15-Year Run
A mainstay on-air talent for WWE has departed from the company.
WWE has seen its share of commentators, announcers, and hosts come and go. There are some that have longer staying power than others, such as Michael Cole, a future Hall of Famer. While Scott Stanford didn't have the name recognition of Cole, he secured his spot as a WWE on-air personality for 15 years.

Stanford announced on his X account that he has wrapped up his time with WWE. He posted a video of several WWE staffers giving him a sendoff during his final day with the company. Stanford is hopeful that he will be back with the promotion one day.
Stanford made his WWE debut in 2009. He served as the host for "Bottom Line," replacing Jack Korpela. Stanford was promoted to a play-by-play commentator role on "Superstars."
Once WWE introduced pre-shows for "Monday Night Raw" and "SmackDown," Stanford transitioned back to being a host. Stanford contributed to WWE programming both online and on TV, hosting "This Week in WWE" and "Afterburn," which he had been a part of since 2013.

WWE reportedly tried out several on-air hopefuls, such as former TNA Wrestling interviewer and host Sam Leterna. While WWE was reportedly impressed with Leterna, there's no word on whether or not she'll be brought in to fill the void left by Stanford.
Outside of WWE, Stanford is a longtime sports anchor in New York City. He worked at WNYW-TV, WNBC-TV, and PIX11. He served as a post-game reporter for New York Yankees and New York Giants games.

Sha'Carri Richardson arrested on domestic violence charge at Seattle airport, police say
Olympic sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson was arrested Sunday on a domestic violence charge at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, according to a police report obtained by CBS News. The incident occurred at a TSA checkpoint where Richardson and a man got into an argument, according to the report detailed by the arresting officer. After viewing security footage, police found that Richardson allegedly pushed the man, and he fell into a nearby column. Police said Richardson was scheduled to fly to Eugene, Oregon, which is where the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships are taking place through Sunday. Richardson earned her first Olympic gold medal in 2024 at the Paris Olympics as part of Team USA's 4x100-meter relay team. She also secured a silver medal in the 100 in 2024. At the 2020 Olympic trials, Richardson won the 100 but was later suspended for testing positive for marijuana. At the time, Richardson said she used the substance after learning from a reporter that her biological mom had died.

DALLAS — Kelsey Mitchell had 23 points, Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard had double-doubles and the Indiana Fever beat the Dallas Wings 88-78 on Friday night for their season-high fourth-straight win despite playing without Caitlin Clark for the sixth straight game. The game was moved to American Airlines Center in anticipation of a Clark-Paige Bueckers showdown but Clark missed her 15th game overall and the Fever improved to 8-7 without her. Bueckers did not disappoint the crowd of 17,857 — second-highest in Dallas history — with 22 points, her 12th 20-point game as she increased her WNBA record for double-figure games to start a career to 23 games.

BOSTON (AP) — Roman Anthony lined a fly ball over drawn-in center fielder Chas McCormick's head to score the automatic runner from third, and the Boston Red Sox rallied in the 10th inning to beat the new-look Houston Astros 2-1 on Friday night.
