Cool-as-ice brands, activations and collabs in the capital…
Abu Dhabi's brought some incredible brands to town of late, and they caught our eye instantly. Here are 5 amazing luxury collaborations, activations and brands in Abu Dhabi we've seen over the past year. Giorgio Armani x Etihad Airways
The UAE's national airline unveiled a luxe lineup of amenity kits last year, ensuring you'll experience luxury and class in every class when you fly with them. From a large, fashionable Giorgio Armani and Etihad-branded folio bag, to plush amenity kits among the clouds, to bespoke Giorgio Armani and Etihad loungewear, as well as designs inspired by the mighty Liwa dunes in Abu Dhabi, there's plenty to discover in the Armani line when you fly Etihad.
@etihad Cartier, Islamic Inspiration and Modern Design at Louvre Abu Dhabi
While Louvre Abu Dhabi regularly has one incredible curation after another, this was one of our personal favourites this year. Cartier, Islamic Inspiration and Modern Design was co-curated by Évelyne Possémé, former chief curator of Ancient and Modern Jewellery at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris; and Judith Henon-Raynaud, Chief Curator and Deputy Director of the Department of Islamic Art at the Musée du Louvre, Paris. It was available to the public in February and March last year, and let visitors discover the influence of Islamic art on Cartier's designs and creations, while featuring over 400 works including jewellery and precious objects, masterpieces of Islamic art, drawings, textiles and photographs, showcasing the influences of the Islamic arts on Cartier's designs, from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.
@louvreabudhabi Le Monde d'Hermès at The Galleria Al Maryah Island
Super-luxury giants Hermès brought their ever-popular, 'grammable Le Monde d'Hermès kiosk to one of Abu Dhabi's premier lifestyle destinations, The Galleria Al Maryah Island, back in February. Over a weekend, the brand, known best for their Birkin and Kelly bags, brought their traveling, sustainable and incredibly cool pop-up to the mall's waterfront promenade, bringing a splash of orange to Al Maryah Island and handing out copies of the collector's edition magazine at their pop-up inspired by Parisian news stands.

This past holiday season, guests were able to savour a luxurious afternoon tea experience at Four Seasons Abu Dhabi and enjoy their dazzling festive tree alongside an illuminated display of Tiffany & Co.'s most loved collections. Available at Al Meylas Lounge, the menu was inspired by the timeless elegance of both brands.
@fsabudhabi Acqua di Parma x La Petite Maison Abu Dhabi
What's On Abu Dhabi's 2024 Restaurant of the Year, La Petite Maison Abu Dhabi and luxury fashion house Acqua di Parma have teamed up for a unique collab, inspired by Acqua di Parma's new Colonia Il Profumo fragrance. The dessert and cocktail pairing blends the romance of the French and Italian Rivieras, and will be available at all of the restaurant's outlets globally until March 2, 2025.

Acqua di Parma unveils a pop-up cafe at Dubai Mall

The collaboration features new Acqua di Parma fragrances. Dubai loves a good pop-up. From fashion takeovers to foodie collabs, there's always something happening around the emirate. This time, the spotlight is on Acqua di Parma, as the Italian lifestyle brand teams up with Bloomingdale's for its very first pop-up café experience in the Middle East. Located on the first floor of Bloomingdale's in Dubai Mall, the Acqua di Parma pop-up blends the brand's signature style with the retail store's cafe concept, Caffetino. The space has been brought to life by celebrated designer Dorothee Meilichzon, whose touch is evident in every detail. Expect bright yellows and oranges setting a vibrant mood, softened with pops of white and grey. Geometric and curved furnishings create a warm, inviting flow, while wooden accents add an earthy balance. A dedicated display wall, embossed with the brand's logo, takes up space too. There's also a shelving unit which showcases Acqua di Parma's new summer collection, including candles, home fragrances, hand lotions, soaps, perfumes, and more. The Acqua di Parma menu is just as stylish as the setting. Expect espresso-based classics alongside Italian pastries such as affogato and crisp. Inspired by summer traditions from across Italy, the drinks include cold coffee favourites such as iced caffe leccese, shakerato, and more. A vintage-style gelato cart also takes space, while the mocktail menu features blends like Capri Spritz and Amalfi Dream. Whether you're popping in for a quick caffeine fix, want a taste of that gelato, or are just browsing the brand's signature scents, this pop-up feels like a mini Italian holiday without leaving the mall. Now open at Bloomingdale's Dubai Mall, Acqua di Parma offers a stylish pop-up and an escape from the city's scorching heat. GO: Visit for more information.

flydubai strengthens strategic growth with 12 new aircraft deliveries in 2025

Post Views: 47 flydubai has taken delivery of seven new aircraft so far in 2025, with a further five Boeing 737 MAX 8s scheduled to join its fleet before the end of the year. These additions form an integral part of the airline's strategic growth plans, enabling the continued expansion of its network, enhancing operational efficiency and increasing capacity on existing routes. The seven new aircraft, received between April and August 2025, have seen the flydubai fleet grow to 93 aircraft. Once all 12 aircraft have been delivered this year, flydubai's fleet will stand at more than 95 aircraft, supporting the carrier's growing network of more than 135 destinations in 57 countries. This expansion continues to open up underserved markets, creating more travel opportunities and further strengthening Dubai's position as a leading global aviation hub. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, said: 'The arrival of these new aircraft is a testament to our long-term strategic vision and our confidence in the future of air travel. Our fleet investment supports our mission to offer greater choice, enhanced convenience and improved connectivity for our passengers. These deliveries are part of a backlog extensively delayed in recent years, and despite receiving 12 aircraft this year, we remain 20 aircraft behind our original projections.' 'The continued interest from our financing partners highlights the strength of our business model and our commitment to contributing to the UAE's leadership in global aviation. Looking ahead, these aircraft will enable us to unlock new destinations, optimise our operations and play an even greater role in supporting Dubai's growth as an international aviation hub,' added Al Ghaith. The favourable response to the airline's financing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and its ability to secure competitive financing for these deliveries reflect the strong confidence that global financial institutions and lessors have in flydubai's robust business model and its future growth prospects. The positive appetite from the market underscores the airline's resilience and its role as a key driver in the UAE's aviation sector. Financing for the first seven aircraft received this year has been secured under Islamic financing from Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), conventional debt financing from The National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKBANK), as well as sale and leaseback transactions with JP Lease Products & Services Co., Ltd (JLPS) and JLPS Ireland Limited.
