
BSE Q1 profit doubles to Rs 538 cr; revenues cross Rs 1,000-cr mark
The exchange posted record quarterly revenues of Rs 1,044 crore in the April-June quarter of FY26, a sharp 56 per cent increase from Rs 668 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2024, BSE said in a statement.
During the quarter, BSE's equity derivatives segment recorded a total of 498 crore contracts traded, generating Rs 598 crore in revenue.
Transactions on the BSE StAR MF platform grew by 30 per cent year-on-year to 18.3 crore in Q1 FY26, up from 14.1 crore in the same period last year. The platform's market share stood at 89 per cent. PTI SP MR

After officially flagging off the Yellow Line, PM Modi is expected to address the citizens of Bengaluru. The Yellow Line is being described as a 'game-changer' for Bengaluru's southern corridor, particularly in areas where rapid residential and industrial expansion has long outstripped public transport infrastructure. The line will serve residential areas, tech parks, and industrial zones, potentially easing the chronic congestion at key bottlenecks like Silk Board Junction. PM Modi also boarded a metro train to the Electronic City station. Following this, PM Modi is scheduled to visit the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bengaluru, where he will lay the foundation stone for Phase-3 of the Namma Metro and formally inaugurate the Yellow Line stretch from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra station, while addressing the assembled audience. He will then travel by helicopter to the HAL Airport and depart for Delhi at 2.45 pm. According to PM Modi's office, the Yellow Line Metro from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra, part of the Bangalore Metro Phase-2 project, spans over 19 km and includes 16 stations, with an estimated value of Rs 7,160 crore. With the opening of this Yellow Line, Bengaluru's operational metro network now exceeds 96 km, serving a vast segment of the city's population. Tesla's second showroom in India to open in Delhi tomorrow

The on-road price in Gurgaon for RWD is Rs 66.76 lakh, while the long-range RWD variant costs Rs 75.61 lakh. While the on-road price for the RWD variant in Mumbai is slightly higher than that in Delhi, at Rs 61.07 lakh, the long-range variant costs the same in both cities. Delhi-NCR is also the only other metropolitan region apart from Mumbai where Tesla plans to install charging infrastructure. The company is planning four charging stations: Saket and Aerocity in Delhi, Golf Course Road in Gurgaon and one in Noida. PM Modi flags off three Vande Bharat Express trains in Bengaluru: WATCH
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains at KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru on Sunday, August 10. These include trains from Bengaluru to Belagavi, Amritsar to Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Nagpur (Ajni) to Pune. While the much-awaited Bengaluru–Belagavi Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Modi in person; the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Amritsar, and Ajni (Nagpur)–Pune Vande Bharat services, were launched virtually, news agency PTI reported. Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, were among others present at the event. Bengaluru–Belagavi Vande Bharat Express: It will be the 11th Vande Bharat service to operate in Karnataka. 'This train connects Bengaluru, India's Silicon City, with Belagavi, a hub of premier medical and engineering institutions, fostering economic and educational opportunities,' officials told PTI. According to officials, the Bengaluru–Belagavi Vande Bharat Express is the fastest train between these two cities, covering 611 km in just 8.5 hours. It will save approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from KSR Bengaluru to Belagavi and 1 hour 40 minutes from Belagavi – KSR Bengaluru compared to existing services. Route: The Route traverses Karnataka's rich sugarcane belt, passing through key cities such as Dharwad, renowned for its prestigious educational institutions; Hubballi, a thriving commercial and industrial center; Haveri, an emerging agricultural hub; Davangere, popular for textiles and agriculture; and Tumakuru, a growing industrial and educational center. Timing: After the inauguration, the special inaugural train (Train No. 06575) will run from KSR Bengaluru to Belagavi, departing at 11:15 AM and reaching Belagavi at 8:00 PM the same day, with stops at Yesvantpur, Tumakuru, Davangere, SMM Haveri, SSS Hubballi, and Dharwad. The flagging of these new Vande Bharat trains underlines the central government's efforts to rejuvenate Indian railways to provide a world-class travel experience to the people. During his visit to Bengaluru, PM Modi will also inaugurate the Yellow line of Bangalore metro and undertake a metro ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City metro station today.
