Birthday Bash ATL 2025 was the place to be this summer, bringing out some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop along with the next generation of stars.
Headlining the show was Grammy-nominated and award-winning rapper GloRilla, who lit up the stage with her high-energy performance and crowd-favorite hits. She showed everyone why she's one of the top names in Hip-Hop right now. The lineup was stacked with heavy hitters like Offset, who brought serious Atlanta energy, plus Bossman Dlow, Kash Doll, Big Boogie, and Future's newest signees, AMG Twinz.
Every artist brought their A-game, and the crowd was hyped from start to finish.
One of the most exciting parts of the night was the 'FOREVER I LOVE ATLANTA' set. It was a special moment that paid tribute to some of the ATL legends who helped shape the city's unique Hip-Hop sound. The crowd went wild as Young Dro, Yung LA, J Money, Trinidad James, and Rich Kidz hit the stage. It was a throwback vibe that reminded everyone just how strong Atlanta's music roots are. Newer artists also got a chance to shine. Pluto, who's been blowing up with the viral hit 'Whim Whammiee,' had everyone singing along to what's already being called the song of the summer.
AMG Twinz also made their mark, showing why Future chose them to join his label.
Radio host Fly Guy DC brought together a special group of rising stars who are already buzzing online. Bunna B had the crowd vibing with his track 'Bunna Summa,' and Saint Lamaar showed off his new sound called 'YN R&B,' where he flips old-school R&B into something fresh. Big YBA, who's been getting a lot of love lately, had a strong performance, and Bankroll Ni closed out the set with 'I'm So ATL,' a TikTok favorite that had the whole place repping the city.
Birthday Bash ATL 2025 proved once again why it's the biggest Hip-Hop concert of the summer. From legendary names to the hottest new talent, the show gave fans everything they came for — great music, big moments, and a full celebration of the ATL sound.

Adam Scott just revealed how long 'Severance' takes to film — and that could be bad news for season 3

At this point, we've been conditioned to wait a long time for "Severance" episodes. The sci-fi thriller debuted on Apple TV Plus on Feb. 18, 2022 ... and then it took another 35 months to get the season premiere of "Severance" season 2. Last month, when I wrote about Apple TV Plus head of programming Matt Cherniss signaling that season 3 could be over a year away, people were bummed, but not exactly shocked. But now we have a clearer picture of why it takes so long for new "Severance" episodes to be made. On yesterday's (Aug. 12) episode of the podcast "Good Hang with Amy Poehler," her former "Parks and Recreation" co-star, and star of "Severance," Adam Scott, sat down with her and revealed just how long it takes to film an episode of the Emmy-nominated show. "Well, it depends," Scott told his former TV wife when asked about how long it takes to film a single episode of the show. "It's long. Season 2, I think it was 186 days for the season. Which is a long time." Scott then broke it down further. "I think one episode took like six weeks and then it's averaged out because we shoot them three at a time, all mixed up together." Season 1 took even longer to film. "Season 1," Scott elaborated, "we shot the entire thing at once. So like, in month nine, we were still shooting scenes from the first episode." Still, Scott believes that this approach to filming multiple episodes at a time works to the benefit of Apple's acclaimed drama. "The accidental thing that that did," he said, referring to season 1, specifically, "You know the first few episodes of any show are a little shaky and everyone is finding their tone a little bit or their characters or whatever? It spread that out over the entire season. So it kind of felt, more or less, fully realized." Scott now joins a long list of people hammering home the point that this show takes a long time to make. Weeks-long shoots for a single episode — half a year spent filming season 2 alone — mean that annual season premieres just aren't feasible. To be fair, nobody has been promising a quick turnaround. Back in March, executive producer Ben Stiller told the ITV morning show "This Morning" that "Severance" season 3 is coming "as fast as possible," but not that it'd be here any time soon. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. 7 day free trial! Apple TV Plus gives you access to amazing originals with exciting new shows dropping all summer long. That timeline gets especially drawn out when filming hasn't even started. In his comments last month, Cherniss said that production had yet to begin on "Severance" season 3, meaning if they started filming today, they probably wouldn't even be done filming the next season of the show until the end of winter in 2026. There, admittedly, has been some mixed messaging on that front. While Cherniss says production hasn't started, in January, Stiller gave a production update on season 3 and revealed that the show's creative team was already working on the new season. A month later, in February, Stiller repeated his claim that "Severance" was already back in production, right before Apple officially greenlit season 3. It's entirely possible this is just a case of Cherniss meaning "filming" when he says production, and Stiller referring to the early pre-production work, including writing scripts. If that's the case, both of them are probably telling the truth. But regardless, I can't imagine this show entering post-production until mid-2026, at which point Apple probably holds season 3 for a January or February Apple TV Plus release date in 2027, just like it did for season 1 in 2022 and season 2 in 2025. Lisa Matches BTS's Historic Radio Record

Later this week, Maroon 5 will release a new album, Love Is Like, the group's eighth full-length. The set, expected on August 15, has pushed several singles from its tracklist, but only one has made any real commercial impact. The Grammy-winning act recruited Blackpink star Lisa for 'Priceless,' and her fame helped turn the tune into a hit on the Billboard charts. Just ahead of Love Is Like arriving, 'Priceless' climbs on multiple radio rosters in America. As it ascends, Lisa matches a record previously managed by some of the biggest K-pop stars in history. Lisa's Collaboration Reaches a New Peak The song lifts a single spot on the Adult Contemporary chart this time around, in its twelfth frame on the roster. The Maroon 5 collaboration settles at No. 16 — a new peak position. Lisa Ties BTS and Rosé No. 16 stands as the highest spot any K-pop act has reached on the Adult Contemporary chart. Lisa joins three other tunes: 'Apt.' by Rosé and Bruno Mars, 'Dynamite' by BTS, and 'My Universe,' the same septet's team-up with Coldplay. All four cuts stalled at No. 16. Lisa's 'Priceless' Could Climb Even Higher No. 16 seems to be a stopping point for K-pop stars on the Adult Contemporary chart, but Lisa may be able to break out of the mold and pass her Blackpink bandmate and BTS. Promotion of all things Maroon 5 — including 'Priceless' and Love Is Like — is at an all-time high, since the album drops in just a few days. That may help Lisa's cut gain ground on the airplay tally, one of three focused on pop music published by Billboard. There's a good chance that 'Priceless' will climb again in the coming week or possibly several weeks. If it manages to ascend by even one more spot, Lisa will claim the highest-charting single of all time by any K-pop act on the tally. 'Priceless' Lives on Every Pop Radio Rankin 'Priceless' currently appears on all three of Billboard's pop radio lists. As it hits a new high on the Adult Contemporary chart, the tune returns to its all-time best showing on the Adult Pop Airplay list, stepping up from No. 7 to No. 6. At the same time, it declines yet again on the Pop Airplay ranking, the most competitive of the bunch. 14 weeks into its lifespan on that roster, 'Priceless' dips 10 spots to No. 32, and it may disappear soon.

The Life of a Prolific Pop Star: ‘Showgirl' Will Be Taylor Swift's Ninth Full-Length Album of the 2020s

There are many reasons for Taylor Swift's extraordinary success: talent, resilience, courage and, not least, a work ethic that is second to none. The country-turned-pop superstar is tireless and extraordinary productive. Her just-announced The Life of a Showgirl will be her ninth full-length album of the 2020s. And that doesn't even count live albums. Swift has been a prolific and engaged artist since she released her eponymous debut album in October 2006. Her longest gap between regular studio albums was just over three years – the gap between 1989 (October 2014) and reputation (November 2017). More from Billboard Taylor Swift Announces New Album, 'The Life of a Showgirl' Taylor Swift's 50 Biggest Billboard Hot 100 Hits Taylor Swift Curates Playlist for New Album 'The Life of a Showgirl' But she has picked up the pace in the 2020s. As this decade began, Swift had achieved six No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and had become the first woman to win the Grammy for album of the year twice as a lead artist. One might reasonably think that an artist who had achieved that much success and validation would let up on the pace a bit, perhaps even take a well-earned breather. Instead, Swift has redoubled her efforts. Two factors played a role in this explosion of activity. COVID-19, which was officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization in March 2020, led Swift to record two albums in quick succession, Folklore and its 'sister record,' Evermore. They were released less than five months apart in 2020. And Swift's desire to reclaim control of her artistic legacy led her to re-record four of her early albums. Those re-recordings didn't slow the pace of new studio albums. Swift somehow found the time and energy to toggle back and forth between new albums and re-recordings of old ones. In addition to these nine new and re-recorded albums, Swift has also released two live albums in the 2020s – Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions and Lover (Live from Paris). (Technically, there was a third: Live From Clear Channel Stripped 2008 was released in April 2020 without Swift's approval. Swift bluntly denounced the release on her social media accounts, calling it 'shameless greed in the time of coronavirus' and asked fans not to buy or stream the album. They complied: The album flopped.) Just about any talent scout will say that talent is not enough to achieve and sustain success in the music business. A strong will to succeed, and a willingness to do whatever that takes, are just as important. You can call it a 'work ethic.' Swift has it in spades.
