Pusha T Crowns Tyler, The Creator As The Biggest Clipse Super Fan He's Ever Met
During a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, the Daytona rapper singled out Tyler as the most passionate and informed supporter he's ever encountered.
'As a fan of the discography, Tyler is the number one Clipster,' Pusha T declared. 'He can tell me things about albums and the time periods and everything, from production to raps, when it comes to Clipse albums.'
Tyler has long worn his admiration for the Clipse on his sleeve, frequently citing them as key influences on his lyrical style and gritty sonic textures.
From his raw early mixtapes to the luxurious aggression of albums like Call Me If You Get Lost, Tyler's reverence for the Virginia duo has been well-documented—and now, officially recognized by one-half of the group itself.
Pusha's comments arrive ahead of the Clipse's highly anticipated new album, Let God Sort Em Out, which is scheduled for release on July 11.
The project marks their first full-length studio effort in over a decade and is produced entirely by longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams.
While some fans have expressed concern over the absence of fellow Neptunes producer Chad Hugo, the Clipse brothers are downplaying the impact.
'Absolutely miss Chad. As far as, you know, being on the album,' said No Malice during a conversation on Popcast. 'But I'll see Chad in the airport, in the street, at Buffalo Wild Wings, you know, in VA. Whatever they got going on, just hope for the best for that […] Whenever we see each other, it's always still love. Always.'
Pusha added: 'Everybody knows my favorite album is Hell Hath No Fury. Pharrell did that alone. That's it […] Pharrell's my guy, love Chad, too. We're brothers, we came up together. But, you know, when you say missing in the music, there is no missing in the music when it comes to the Clipse. And if it's just P, it don't matter—we find what we find.'
Let God Sort Em Out will feature appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Nas, John Legend, and more, with singles like 'The Birds Don't Sing' and 'Graveyard Shift' already signaling a return to the duo's signature mix of luxury, scripture, and street grit.
