Anthem Biosciences IPO subscribed 73 pc on Day 1 of offer

The initial public offer of Anthem Biosciences Ltd got subscribed 73 per cent on the first day of share sale on Monday.
The initial share sale received bids for 3,21,13,406 shares against 4,40,70,682 shares on offer, according to NSE data.
Non-institutional Investors category garnered 1.55 times subscription, while the quota for Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) got subscribed 58 per cent. The portion for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) received 37 per cent subscription.
Anthem Biosciences has raised Rs 1,016 crore from anchor investors.
The Rs 3,395-crore IPO of the Bengaluru-based firm will close on July 16. The price band has been fixed at Rs 540-570 per share.
Since the IPO is entirely an offer-for-sale (OFS), the company will not receive any funds from the issue, and the proceeds will go to the selling shareholders.
Anthem is into innovation-driven and technology-focused Contract Research, Development and Manufacturing Organization (CRDMO) with fully integrated operations spanning across drug discovery, development and manufacturing.
It also manufactures and sells complex, specialised fermentation-based Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), including probiotics, enzymes, peptides, nutritional actives, vitamin analogues and biosimilars.
JM Financial, Citigroup Global Markets India, J P Morgan India, and Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India) are the book-running lead managers for the issue.

Toll may be halved for 2-lane national highways undergoing expansion

This has been proposed since commuters don't get the desired service while construction work is underway on such stretches, with the highway width available for use being reduced. At present, the user fee for such stretches is 60 per cent of the normal toll for NHs, even during expansion phase, as they are narrow highways without dividers. If the proposal goes through and gets the green signal from the finance ministry, the user fee will go down to only 30 per cent of the normal toll during the construction phase. In the case of widening of four-lane highways to six lanes or expanding six-lane highways to eight lanes, the chargeable toll is capped at 75 per cent of the normal rate during the construction phase. This is also because commuters don't get the desired service while work is underway on such stretches. This has also been a major issue, with there even being instances of courts taking note of the anomaly. Bengaluru: Buckling under pressure from political and real-estate lobbies, the govt Monday reduced BMRCL's land requirement for the Namma Metro rail project at Hebbal, in north Bengaluru, from 45 to 9 acres. With this, all future infrastructure facilities such as depot for Metro trains and even multi-level parking systems for train users stand nixed. Instead, what will come up at the important transport hub will be high-rise commercial buildings, upscale residential facilities, and star hotels to be constructed by private players. At the high-power committee meeting chaired by chief secretary Shalini Rajneesh in the city, BMRCL said it had scaled down its land requirement. City's waste capacity to rise by 7,000 tonnes with 4-plant push
New Delhi: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi is expediting the development of its sixth waste-to-energy facility at Ghazipur, designed to process 2,000 tonnes of waste daily. Proposals from specialised agencies have been invited for project implementation. Apart from the current agency biomining the legacy waste at the landfill, MCD will also hire a separate agency to clear 15 acres there to make space for the new WTE facility. This initiative coincides with MCD receiving environmental clearance from the central govt for its fifth WTE at Narela recently. The updates on the WTEs were recently conveyed to chief minister Rekha Gupta at a meeting on Saturday. "While bids for establishing the WTE at Ghazipur were invited last week, an agency for the reclamation of 15 acres of land at the landfill, which is required for setting up the new plant, is also being engaged. MCD expects the commissioning of the facility by Dec 2028," the civic body said in a statement. The overall plan is to erect two new plants at Ghazipur and Bawana and expand the capacities of the two at Okhla and Tehkhand. These will together process 7,000 tonnes of additional waste every day after commissioning. MCD claims to have paid the Power Grid Corporation Ltd Rs 27 crore for their shifting, which is now in progress. "We expect the work to be completed by June 30 next year," an MCD official said. "After that, the plant will come up. We have urged the construction agency to finish work within 9–10 months of land clearance. We hope to have the WTE operational by Dec 2027. " Meanwhile, MCD asked the constructing agency at Bawana to provide a plan outlining preparatory activities that can be undertaken now, such as site levelling, boundary wall construction and site office development so that work can begin promptly once the power lines are shifted. As for the Okhla WTE expansion from 1,950 tonnes per day to 2,950, the Union housing and urban affairs ministry has agreed to assign Rs 50 crore as viability gap funding. A supplementary agreement will be signed on July 31. The expanded project will come into effect from March 2027. "MCD received environmental clearance and DERC approval of the revised power tariff last year," says the report submitted to CM. The other expansion, that of the Tehkhand WTE, will increase the plant's daily consumption of waste from 2,000 tonnes to 3,000 tonnes by Dec 2027.
