Golden Retriever Is 'So Excited Yet Confused' Meeting Newborn Human Sister

Yahoo23-05-2025

Babies are so special, but they're very confusing. They're cute, but they smell a little weird, and they cry a lot, but their giggles are way too cute. Overall, they are very confusing creatures that take some getting used to. Everything about having a baby is an adjustment.
On Thursday, May 22nd, one Golden Retriever made his confusion/happiness/worry abundantly clear the first time he met his newborn baby sister. His parents were there every step of the way, but it was still so strange:
Fernanda Miller is used to babying Benny the Golden and Benny is used to being babied. Meeting the reason why some things are going to have to change must be a little worrisome!
Benny is the baby of the family, or at least he was. He got all of their attention, and he loved it: Golden Retrievers thrive off of human interaction. They do best when they feel loved, and they can even come off a little bit clingy. They don't mean to: they just love you!
Benny's live with his parents was so perfect before the baby came in. They had nothing else to focus on, so he got to go for walks whenever he wanted and he could jump up on the furniture without a care in the world.
Don't worry, though, because he and the baby are going to get along great. One thing about Golden Retrievers that everyone knows: they love kids. As she gets older and starts crawling, walking, and dropping snacks on the ground, he'll realize that bringing in the baby was for the best.
All dogs will need some time to adjust when a new baby comes home, and you have a lot on your plate already, but you have to make it easier on them. Make sure they still get plenty of 1-on-1 time with you, and don't change their feeding times. They're your baby, too!
Luckily, Benny has all the support he needs. His family really cares, and he cares for the baby, too!

Ed Sheeran at the top of Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez's wedding guest list

Ed Sheeran is at the top of the guest list for Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez's wedding. The couple got engaged in December after over a year of dating and although they haven't yet set a date for their nuptials, the 37-year-old groom-to-be admitted he's already invited his friend and collaborator, who he has previously worked with on the likes of 'Shape of You', 'Castle on the Hill', and Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself'. Speaking on the Australian TV show 'Today', Benny said: "I just told him, 'I'm going to have a wedding and you're going to come to the wedding. "Eventually Ed will come to our wedding when we do have one, but unfortunately we have not scheduled one yet - but we will!" After Benny and Selena got engaged, they created songs that eventually ended up on their first joint album, 'I Said I Love You First', which was released in March, but they had never deliberately planned to make such a project together. Speaking about how their LP came to fruition, Benny said: "We just started making music in our house as a little fun activity and then all of a sudden we had one song, then two songs, then three songs, then four songs. "She was just a joy to work with and it was better to work with her than anyone else because, at the end of the day, I get to kiss her too.'" During the recording process, a bird caused Benny and Selena to fight. Speaking to Kent 'Smallzy' Small on the latest episode of the 'Smallzy's Surgery' podcast, he said: "The biggest fight we had making the record is we did it at home, and there were birds that would chirp only when she was recording and never any time else. "And I didn't believe her for the first two weeks." Selena recently revealed she does not like to refer to Benny as her fiance. Appearing with her partner on the 'Table Manners' podcast in April, the 32-year-old singer explained: "[Calling him my fiance is] so strange. "I just say, my partner or Benny. But the other day, I caught myself saying 'Well, my boyfriend ...' but that's not quite why we're there." And after he and Selena shared their first kiss, Benny knew he wanted to "have a baby" with his lover. Appearing on Spotify's 'Countdown To' series in March, he said: "I knew right after we kissed, I was like, 'Oh wow. I'm probably going to marry this person'. "Well, I didn't say marry but I was like, 'I'm probably going to have a baby with this person.' "

Video: Dog Does This With Dad, but With Mom He Is So Different

You think you know your dog until you see how they acts with someone else in the house. Like kids who switch gears between parents, dogs adjust their energy depending on who's in front of them. Whether it's about who is stricter, softer, or more likely to hand over the last bite of toast, they know their audience. Benny, a dog with a strong sense of 'who gets what version of me,' has become TikTok-famous for a video that shows just how dramatically different he is with his mom and dad. In the TikTok video shared by his owners, Benny is seen lying in bed with his dad, full of energy and clearly in a playful mood. The pup starts roughhousing, biting at his dad's arm in a silly, non-aggressive way, and keeps at it even when dad tries to pull away. The whole scene looks like a classic case of a dog who sees his owner as a wrestling buddy. What makes the video go from funny to fascinating is what happens next. While dad and Benny continue their goofy back-and-forth, mom, who is filming, reaches her hand into the frame. Instantly, Benny's whole vibe changes. Instead of biting or roughhousing like he did with the dad, he gently licks her hand, calm and sweet as ever. The contrast is so sharp it almost feels like a switch has been flipped. However, the moment doesn't last long. As soon as Benny turns back to his dad, he is back to his wild, energetic self. This stark contrast is both charming and hilarious, winning over viewers. Many fans joked that Benny clearly has a soft spot for his mom, while others laughed about dogs having an obvious 'favorite parent.' Experts say that dogs often adjust their behavior based on the relationship they have with each person, as well as the energy or mood that person brings. In Benny's case, his playful, high-energy behavior with his dad might reflect a bond centered around active play and excitement. With his mom, Benny's gentler side comes out, possibly because he feels more relaxed or associates her presence with calmness and comfort. Dogs are very perceptive and can pick up on subtle cues from humans, responding differently depending on how each person interacts with them. Dog Raised by Cats Has Internet in Stitches: '10/10 Loaf'

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A pit-bull named Opie has baffled social media users with his ability to act exactly like the cats who raised him, in a viral video that has received over 30.8 million views and 6.7 million likes on TikTok so far. The hilarious clip, shared on Saturday under the username @justopiethings, shows the pup effortlessly curling into a loaf, squeezing into tiny cat beds, and displaying behaviors similar to those of his feline siblings. "Do yo want to see what a pit-bull raised by cats looks like?" the poster writes in the clip. "Part cat part ... Maine coon?" she continues in the caption. Dogs and cats can not only live together peacefully, but they can also form a close bond and become the best of friends. However, that is not always the case, animal charity Dog Trust explains on its website. Some cats are nervous around dogs, who sometimes have a predatory drive so strong that it may compromise the welfare of the cat. Usually, when dogs get overly excited around cats and can't be calmed down, it isn't safe for them to live together. A cat and a dog should be introduced slowly and mindfully, starting with scent swapping and then gradually removing physical barriers when you finally know that they are comfortable together, and don't pose a risk to one another. While most dogs can be trained to live with cats, with the help of a specialized animal behaviorist if needed, some dog breeds are more suited for life with a feline than others. Burns Court Veterinary Care explains that because of their friendly manners, dogs like Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, and beagles are the breeds that get along best with cats. Cat breeds that are most likely to accept dogs into their life include Maine coons, rag-dolls, and Siamese. A stock image shows a pit-bull mix looking over his shoulder at the camera. One user, Mariahargrove5, commented: "The way his facial expressions show how much he is judging you, just like a cat, is absolute perfection." Jess, the brazillionaire said: "My favorite animals are cats raised by dogs or dogs raised by cats and if you don't agree, you're wrong." T added: "Tell your dog I said pspspspsps," while Sharp Lives said: "10/10 Loaf." Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share?
