Analysis: West Ham 1-2 Nottingham Forest
In the 58th minute of this near two-hour epic, Graham Potter made a quadruple change and it worked - West Ham became much more flowing and dangerous.Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus flanked Niclas Fullkrug to great effect, and the change of shape from 5-3-2 to 3-4-3 caused Forest serious problems.Which raises the question as to why Graham Potter left all those attackers on the bench, naming nine defensive-minded players in the starting XI.It meant West Ham struggled to respond to going behind early on. And soon after the change was made, Forest scored their second goal which proved decisive. There is no question that West Ham need to rebuild in the summer, and Potter can only be judged at London Stadium once he has a full pre-season.But he could help his cause, and win over a few Hammers fans already tired of their poor form, by taking off the handbrake and letting the attackers free.

SIR CLIVE WOODWARD: Ben Youngs made the WRONG decision in the final knockings of Leicester's defeat by Bath, I could not understand it. But in many ways it summed up his career
Saturday's Gallagher Premiership final was there for Leicester to snatch. But, ultimately, the best team won. Bath deserved to claim victory in the one-off title decider and they also deserved to be league champions because they were the division's superior side throughout the league campaign. Hats off to them and their head of rugby Johann van Graan.

Poor ticket sales, player welfare concerns and trouble in the United States... but here's why the Club World Cup DOES matter
Something quite remarkable has happened over the past few months. Steadily, the dissenting voices became quieter as the gala in America drew nearer. Probably around the time when news of the Club World Cup 's prize money dropped. There are 97 million reasons for all of the globe's largest clubs to descend on the United States for Gianni Infantino's brainchild, in what feels like a simultaneous power and money grab. Complaints about player welfare, there being too many games in the calendar, individuals burning out, have dissipated.

Dessers deal must mark a line in the sand for Rangers, writes GARY KEOWN... and an end to the Ibrox club being soft touches in the transfer market
Just under a year on, the figures still bring on a weary shake of the head. Five first-team squad members under contract shipped out the door. A grand total of £810,000 brought in for the lot in transfer fees. As an indication of just where Rangers ' reckless, scattergun approach to recruitment had been leading them, it didn't quite carry the same weight as letting Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent leave for nothing when there was once £30million of offers on the table. However, it was every bit as damning. Arguably, even more sobering.
