This has led to multiple fans getting hypercritical of the iconic wrestler, calling out his age and accusing him of simply being a product of former WCW president Eric Bischoff.
Now, Bischoff himself has spoken up, shutting these accusations down.

"[Hulk Hogan] was a voice from day one that not only wanted to protect Bill creatively, but made sure his business interests (and therefore as his star status) remained strong by connecting Hulks lawyer Henry Holmes with Bill. It's highly unlikely that Henry would have taken on Bill as a client without Hulk's encouragement and support.
"Did I create the environment and support? Yes," Bischoff concluded. "But the credit goes to many. Especially Bill."

In the late '90s, it's hard to think of a professional wrestler more over than Goldberg. The man was an absolute beast and genuinely felt like an unstoppable force while he was in WCW.
Goldberg would go on a massive 173-match streak, defeating iconic names like Raven, Diamond Dallas Page, Scott Hall, and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan.
In the end, Goldberg would end his WCW run having won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship twice, and the WCW World Tag Team Championship with Bret Hart.
Goldberg would continue his winning ways in WWE, where he would hold the World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Universal Championship twice.
Goldberg was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.

Host of UFC personalities appear in new trailer for 'The Naked Gun' reboot More than 30 years after the character last appeared on the big screen, a legendary cop returns in a few weeks – sort of. Two sequels, "The Naked Gun 2 1/2" and "The Naked Gun 33 1/3," were released in 1991 and 1994. The new version stars Neeson as the son of Nielsen's Drebin; Pamela Anderson as his love interest; Paul Walter Houser as Drebin Sr.'s former partner's son; and even WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes. Advertisement The patriarch of the Fatu wrestling family, with three sons in WWE and counting, the former Headshrinker took to his Off The Top podcast to deliver an absolute rant blasting the promotion's booking, noting that he believes the writers did his son dirty. 'Are we talking about a kid that 16 plus years, that put in work? We talk about a kid that, combined with him and his brother, merchandise sales to the roof as a tag team now breaks off as single competitor. If you can tell me that anybody else is selling any merchandise higher than 'YEET,' I want you to tell me, by all means, generating revenue for the company. What was that saying? 'What's good for business?' Then you have a kid that put his heart and soul, just like everybody else that's out there on the roster, put their heart and soul to get to that main event spot. Finally, when he gets there, you know what I feel? Here's what I feel. I feel that those are writing for this kid his storyline, you didn't do him justice. You didn't feed this champion the right talent to be able to continue to make this champion. Not a fair shot in my eyes,' Rikishi said via Fightful. 'So you go 51 days. She posted several pictures of herself at the Performance Center as well as a screenshot of a message she posted on Facebook. 'Wow, it has been a VERY long 7 days… I will finally be on my way home from Orlando tomorrow,' her post from June 15, 2015, began. 'I didn't end up making the final cast of Tough Enough. But I've got plenty of amazing opportunities coming up that I can't wait to share!! 'Good luck to the 6 girls that did make the finals. I'm proud of all of them[.] and I will definitely be voting 😉 …and if you decide you aren't Tough Enough, don't worry, I'll step in for ya!' she continued. Her return occurred at the 2023 Royal Rumble. Green was eliminated within seconds of joining the battle royal by Rhea Ripley. To win the Women's United States Championship tournament, Green had to go through several big names on the roster. She defeated Bianca Belair, Blair Davenport, and Bayley on her way to the finals.
