'I tried a Too Good To Go bag from Harrods and contents left me flabbergasted'
Too Good To Go has proven a popular way to reduce food waste, but you can never be sure of what you're going to get. However, one woman insists the Harrods Too Good To Go is totally worth it
The idea of shopping often in a premium store like Harrods is unrealistic for most of us, but one woman insists that you can get hands on the dreamy food items for significantly less money, thanks to her trick. Instead of paying full price, she gets heavily discounted, good quality food that would otherwise end up going to waste. She recently ordered two bags of goodies on Too Good To Go and people are only just realising that Harrods is on the app.
People love getting a good deal. And as a result of this, Too Good To Go bags have become popular in recent years. The only catch? Users are not told what items they will receive inside the bundles. But young woman, Roshini, insists it is worth taking the risk when it comes to Harrods Too Good To Go bags.
She warns that you have to be quick if you want to get your hands on one, but she pays £8 for a goody bag with items worth up to £26 inside. After trying the method for the first time early this month, she went back on the app again on Monday this week and managed to get hold of two Harrods goody bags. She paid £8 for a sandwich/salad bag worth £26, and £8 for a bakery bag worth £25.75.
Taking to her TikTok page @therealroshini recently to share her experience, Roshini said: "It was on the app for one minute before it got sold out! Definitely worth it! Everything tastes so good."
What did Roshini get in her bags?
After opening her bakery bag, Roshini was delighted to find two red velvet slice cakes inside. The freshly made treats are worth £5.50 each. She rated the cake slices as 10/10.
She also managed to get her hands on a pistachio slice cake, also worth £5.50, and given a 10/10 rating by Roshini. She described the cake as "soft and creamy".
She was impressed after getting a whole loaf of "fluffy" Japanese milk bread, worth £6.50 in Harrods. She offered this treat a 8/10 rating. She also got a Nocellara olive stick, worth £2.75, and said this also deserves an 8/10 and "smells divine".
In her sandwich and salad bag, Roshini got a teriyaki salmon salad box, worth £9. She also got a chicken caesar pasta salad box, also worth £9. Plus, she got a free rang ham, mustard and Godminster cheddar sandwich, which is worth £8 in store - and managed to bag this large sandwich plus two extra meals for the same price.
People rushed to comment on Roshini's video. One said: "So good. I didn't know you could get them from Harrods." While another exclaimed:"Looks good."
A third told her: "Wow, so jealous girl!"
In a previous video, when Roshi first tried a Harrods Too Good To Go bag earlier this month, she managed to get hands on a funfetti vanilla cake slice and a chocolate fudge cake slice, both worth £5.50 each. She also got a Japanese milk bread loaf, worth £6.50, as well as a loaf of brioche – which was also originally priced at £6.50. She paid just £8 for this bag too, and the products would have cost her £24 in total if she bought them in store.
"Ohhh those are great deals at Harrods," commented one. Another insisted: "Best Too Good To Go bag I've seen."
A third chimed in: "Nothing better than sweet treats saved from going to waste!"
Someone else also shared their experience and wrote: "Well done for what you got. I've done this a couple of times now... all I get are sourdough breads and flat croissants...nothing to write home about."

I was a female debt collector and had to chase people for £1 – mortifying incident in man's flat made me quit
A FORMER debt collector has revealed the bizarre incident in a man's flat that led her to quit the profession. Lynne Cavanagh, 46, rounded up outstanding payments of as little as £1 from clients around Glasgow. 3 3 The mum of three, who has also worked jobs in private care and cleaning, said she "got to know" all her customers because she did the same rounds every week. She was always invited into people's homes - but thought nothing of it until one awkward visit. In a recent TikTok post (@lynnelxx), she said: "I used to do the debt collecting years ago. You'd go and you'd collect people's money every week. "It could be like a fiver or £1 or whatever. You give them money, you give them loans. "Everybody invites you in. You're never ever doing that at the door because people don't want people to know and hand out their money at doors and fill in slips and all that. "So you're always invited into people's houses, which I never ever thought as being a danger or weird until this scenario." She continued: "There was this one guy I used to go to all the time and he stayed in an upstairs flat. "He's either out the back sunbathing or he's arguing with the neighbours, there was always something. "But this one day I went to his door and he came to the door with a housecoat on and it was one of the satin things. It was strange." The house call only got more awkward when mortified Lynne realised what her client was watching on the telly. I'm in £15k worth of debt but STILL have TWO gardeners - people might judge me but they are an essential and a godsend And despite inviting her in to sit in the living room, the brazen gent didn't turn the TV off. "You can hear moaning and groaning, if you know what I mean?" Lynne cringed. "I can't even tell you. I just didn't want to even look anywhere. "He's still got his Pornhub channel on, but way back then, I don't even think that's what it was [called]. "And they're at it there, right? So there's a good few of them on the telly, and they're all screaming and moaning, andand I'm like 'f***, £4, you owe me, right?'. "He's blethering away, but as he's sitting down, his nightgown's sort of opening, you can see he's a bit excited. 3 "I literally was like 'oh, you need to turn that down, it's too noisy' and he's like 'oh, sorry, sorry, sorry, forgot that was on'." She continued: "I don't know if I was fearing for my life, but it was that kind of situation, you're thinking you just want out it very, very quickly, and you don't know how to get out it without causing offence." Lynne admits that the incident was "forgotten about like it didn't happen" by her next visit, but put doubts in her mind about her job. "You've no idea how much my heart was beating, and how the rest of my run that night just did not go that great, because I was just thinking 'f***'. "And then after that, I started thinking is it safe to go into people's houses? Because we just automatically walk in, and they know when we're coming." Not long after, Lynne's manager got a tip off that she was going to be ambushed while walking to one of her jobs. She said: "So then, after that, I sort of gave up the debt collecting, because I just thought, I don't know if this is that safe for me to do on my own." How to shift your credit card debt quickly By James Flanders, Consumer Reporter UK Finance reports that we spend a whopping £2 billion a month using our credit cards. While that little strip of plastic makes everyday spending easy peasy, it comes at a huge cost. According to The Money Charity, the average credit card debt sits at £2,485 per household or £1,312 per adult. And if you're stuck on a credit card with a high APR and only making the minimum repayments, you could be forking out hundreds of pounds extra in interest charges. For example, if you owe £1,312 on your credit card and are charged 24.8% APR. If you don't make any more transactions and pay £100 a month in repayments, you will pay off the card by September 2025 but at £207 in interest. However, by hunting around for a better deal elsewhere and switching to a balance transfer credit card with a lengthy interest-free period, you can save yourself £162. If the same person was accepted for a 28-month-long zero-interest credit card with a 3.4% balance transfer fee and made the same £100 repayments each month. They would pay off the debt sooner, in July 2025, and only fork out £45 towards the 3.4% balance transfer fee. Before taking out a new credit card or increasing the amount you borrow, it's vital to consider the consequences. You should only borrow money if you can afford to pay it back. It's always vital to ask yourself if you need to borrow before committing to a new credit card, personal loan or overdraft. If you use a credit card, I'd recommend that you always pay off your balance in full at the end of each statement period. Lenders have a responsibility to help customers who are in debt. If you're in a debt crisis, your first point of call should be your lender. They might help you out by offering you a reduced interest rate or a temporary payment holiday - so check in with your lender if you're struggling.

I was dress-coded at Disney World... I was forced to spend $45 or leave entirely
A woman has sparked heated debate after claiming she was dress coded at the 'happiest place on earth.' Nicole Arena was visiting Epcot at Disney World in Florida last week with her husband when she claims she was told to put a shirt on over her white sports bra. Nicole, who had paired the top with long black leggings, shared the incident in a TikTok video, admitting she 'really didn't think anything of [the outfit].' 'Was so happy to be here that I didn't realize I was "improperly dressed" and would be forced to buy a $45 T-shirt or else I could not get on the ride I waited an hour for,' she furiously wrote on the video, showing a snap of the couple in activewear. 'There were many people at Disney wearing much less clothing than I was,' Nicole said indignantly. 'I had nothing showing other than my stomach and my arms, but you guys are acting like I went out naked,' she continued. 'Anyone who goes to the gym knows it's totally fine to walk around with a sports bra and leggings on,' Nicole fumed. 'I just went to Disney, how I would go to the gym.' While the Disney enthusiast was let into the park by security, she claims cast members refused her entry to an attraction, which led to her having to buy the shirt in order to stay and use the rides. But Nicole's video proved to be divisive - with some uses agreeing with the park that the outfit was inappropriate. 'I mean it's a bra. Of course you can't wear it to a family park. Be so for real. I am so happy they are finally cracking down,' cheered one fan. Someone else pointed out: 'I don't know why you thought it would be the exact same as the gym. Disneyworld is not the gym.' Another chimed in, telling Nicole: 'When did wearing bras in public become the norm? Oh wait, it isn't.' Others came to her defense, saying they don't see anything wrong with her outfit. 'Geez! I wouldn't have even thought twice about what you had on. Plus it's so hot,' someone else commented. 'As a Disney regular it really depends on who catches you. Some are super strict on the rules some art,' one regular commented. has contacted Disney for comment. Her video was divisive, with some uses agreeing with the decision the park made, and that they should have bee n told it's inappropriate to wear The official rules as per the website state visitors must wear: 'Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times.' Last year, a British woman working at Disney World in Florida was accused of dressing like a 'stripper' after wearing skimpy shorts to work. Jessie Lee, 21, had been working across the Disney World Resorts in Florida over the summer as part of their cultural exchange program. However, after sharing a video of her red Disney outfit on TikTok, Jessie said her clothing divided opinion with some calling it 'inappropriate' while others said she was 'giving dads something to look at.' Jessie, a recent graduate, defended them as 'very on trend' and says haters are simply 'uneducated.' Footage shows Jessie sporting a red crop top with a pair of gingham bloomers posing around the park in various locations. The Disney enthusiast says she dressed in assigned Disney uniform during shifts but on her days off created her own themed outfits to wear at the theme parks.

Festival goer recalls 'fearing for her life' at international music event amid overcrowding concerns after 145 people report being pricked by syringes
A Fete de la Musique attendee said she 'feared for her life' at the annual Parisian music festival over the weekend. The free festival, also known as Music Day, took place last Saturday, and much like London 's Notting Hill Carnival, it encourages its thousands of attendees to play music out loud and dance in the streets. But the annual international music event descended into chaos when 'unprecedented crowds' rammed the French capital. Attackers infiltrated the millions in attendance and 'pricked' 145 attendees with 'syringes', according to reports. Officials did not say whether these were cases of so-called needle spiking with date-rape drugs, such as Rohypnol or GHB, used to render victims confused, unconscious, or vulnerable to sexual assault. On TikTok, others have shared their recollections of the horrors they experienced at the event. Ada Catherine, from Dusseldorf, travelled to Paris for celebration, but by the evening, she was left 'in complete shock' and feared for her life due to immense crowding. She shared footage of a group dancing on a bus stop moments before a rush of people stormed the street, writing, 'She doesn't know it yet, but she'll fear for her life in two seconds.' Elsewhere, Nat from Woolwich, London, shared a clip at the event moments before 'someone got stabbed' while others let off 'fireworks' and 'teargas', he claimed. A different London-based attendee, who goes by @lileddy283 on TikTok, similarly shared a crowded scene at the festival with the caption, 'Fete de la Musique, you were good but never again.' Meanwhile, a tourist called Ozge was left disappointed when she travelled to the city yesterday only to see the streets in ruins. Ozge shared footage of public spaces filled with litter, and added in the caption, 'It was a big mistake to come to Paris after Fete de la Musique.' Before the party in Paris, which authorities reported as having 'unprecedented crowds', posts on social media had called for women to be targeted. The interior ministry confirmed on Sunday that 145 people reported being stabbed with needles after millions had taken to the streets to celebrate. Paris police reported 13 cases in the capital. 'Some victims were taken to hospital for toxicological tests,' the ministry said. In Paris, investigations were opened after three people, including a 15-year-old girl and an 18-year-old male, reported being stabbed in separate incidents across Paris, prosecutors said. All three reported feeling unwell. Across France, 12 suspects have been arrested. Among them were four people in the southwestern city of Angouleme suspected of having targeted around 50 victims, a police source said. Apart from those suspects, more than 370 people were detained during the festival on various charges, including nearly 90 people in Paris. Fourteen participants in the festivities were seriously injured, including a 17-year-old hospitalised after being found sitting on the street with stab wounds to the lower abdomen. Thirteen members of law enforcement were also injured. The prefect of the Paris police, Laurent Nunez, said that 'no major incident has been reported'. Footage circulating on social media also shows attendees in Paris partaking in aggressive behaviour on the streets amid the festivities. In one particularly shocking video, a man dressed in a blue T-shirt kicked a woman's head before pulling another male to the ground. The festival is an annual music celebration that takes place on June 21. On Music Day - as it is known in English - citizens and residents are urged to play music outside in their neighborhoods or in public spaces and parks. The occasion is now celebrated in 120 countries around the world. Organiser Emmanuel Sémo said, 'Over the past three years, this type of incident has unfortunately been on the rise in major cities, particularly in Paris, often amplified by viral TikTok challenges. 'However, at our event, we take these risks very seriously and have implemented heightened vigilance measures to ensure everyone's safety. 'Ahead of the EF FESTIVAL or VERSO FESTIVAL, we issued preventive messages across our social media channels, sent information by email to attendees, and displayed dedicated signage on site. 'Security checks were reinforced at the entrances, and patrols were increased throughout the venue to detect and prevent any suspicious behaviour. 'This year, we had two suspected cases out of over 17,000 attendees. After investigation by emergency services, both were proven to be false alarms. 'While this represents an extremely low incident rate, safety remains an absolute priority for us. We also note that no intervention from law enforcement was required during the event. 'The atmosphere remained positive, the audience was respectful and well-filtered at entry points; We're proud of the secure and welcoming environment we created.'
