Veteran actor Jeetendra entered the business of real estate and construction a few years ago, and now the 83-year-old actor has a thriving empire. In a new interview, Jeetendra shared that he is 'not like a typical builder' and shared that he has made decisions that are unlike the popular builders. Talking about people in the construction business, Jeetendra said that he perceives them as clever and cunning, and shared that people in the film industry are largely emotional.
In a chat with the YouTube channel Visionary Studioz, Jeetendra said, 'I am not like a typical builder.' He added, 'Typical builders sell the property before it is made, but I don't like that. So I decided that I will construct the building first, and then I will sell it. I might appear foolish as a normal businessman.' He added, 'I have spent 50 years in the film business and in my time, I don't think I have seen people as nice as them… such nice, kind-hearted people. People in the film business are very emotional but when I started this business, I realised that they have a different system.'
'Log chalak hain, sayane hain (People are clever, cunning here),' he said and added that perhaps, he wasn't as clever in this department.
He continued, 'In the movies, people work with emotions but that doesn't work in real estate. All the successful builders who exist today, they have all done good work and people have appreciated them. And those who are riffraff, those who just run away after completing the construction, make false promises, most of them are behind bars. You are only appreciated for your good work.'

In June, Jeetendra sold a land parcel in Mumbai's Andheri area for a grand sum of Rs 855 crore. It was reported that the property was sold through their family-owned firms Pantheon Buildcon Private Limited and Tusshar Infra Developers Private Limited. As per Square Yards, the deal involved the sale of two adjoining plots of about 2.39 acres. The site currently has three buildings with a built-up area of around 4.9 lakh sq ft.

Box Office: War 2 Telugu states theatrical rights sold for Rs 90 crore, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer acquired by Naga Vamsi

War 2 is among the most anticipated movies of 2025. The Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer is seen as a front-runner to emerge as the biggest grosser of the year. While the movie is still 5 weeks away from its release, it is making waves for its historic pre-release business. War 2 locks the biggest deal for dubbed films in the Telugu states Pinkvilla learned that Yash Raj Films has inked a landmark deal with Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments for the distribution rights of War 2. Reportedly, the leading South film production and distribution company has acquired the Telugu rights of War 2 to distribute it across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at a staggering figure of Rs 90 crore minimum guarantee (MG). Interestingly, this is the biggest deal ever for a dubbed movie in the Telugu states in the history of Indian cinema. It includes theatrical distribution rights for all three versions- Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. War 2 to have a wide release in Telugu states, unlike other dubbed movies Usually, YRF doesn't believe in selling their films outright; however, they are opting for a rare strategy for War 2. The hype around War 2 skyrocketed ever since Jr NTR joined Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. And since then, multiple leading players from the Southern film industries have approached Aditya Chopra to bag its distribution rights. Eventually, the deal got locked with Sithara Entertainment, following multiple weeks of negotiation. The makers believe that the Naga Vamsi company is the right contender to take War 2 to the grassroots of the Telugu heartland. Reportedly, the Ayan Mukerji directorial will not be treated like a regular dubbed movie, but it will be released in mass pockets across APTS like a true-blue local venture. War 2 to have 5 AM premiere shows across the Telugu states Jr NTR, who is playing Agent Vikram in War 2, is among the biggest stars of Telugu cinema. With Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR facing off against each other, the interest among exhibitors is at peak. The makers are planning to capitalise on the hype and Tarak's superstardom by organising a massive 5 AM premiere show of War 2 across the twin states. For the unversed, War 2 marks the entry of Jr NTR to the YRF Spy Universe, which already has bigwigs like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, and Kiara Advani. Slated to hit the screens on August 14, War 2 is the sixth film in the spy universe, following Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023). The high-stakes deal between YRF and Sithara Entertainments signifies how a Pan-India movie should be marketed and distributed in the most passionate cinema markets. All eyes are now on the reception of War 2. It will be interesting to see whether the much-awaited movie can live up to the expectations or not. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.

Australia just banned Kanye West over his song Heil Hitler: ‘Importing hate is not sustainable'; netizens applaud

In one of the more bizarre headlines of the week, Kanye West, 48, now legally known as Ye, has been banned from entering Australia following a series of anti-Semitic acts, including the release of his controversial track Heil Hitler. The song, which was independently released in May, has since been removed from major platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube, and has triggered widespread backlash for its references to Adolf Hitler and overt anti-Semitic undertones. Kanye West with wife Bianca Censori Now, the Australian government has taken a decisive step. Tony Burke, the country's home affairs minister, confirmed in a televised interview with ABC's Afternoon Briefing that West's visa had been revoked under special provisions typically used to bar individuals intending to conduct public speaking tours. 'Most of the visas that have been cancelled under this section have been where someone was seeking to make a public speech,' Burke explained. 'The only one I can think of where it wasn't for public advocacy – the visa – but we cancelled it anyway, would be Kanye West.' The minister further stated that West had previously been visiting Australia regularly, noting that his wife, Bianca Censori, is from Melbourne and that he still has family ties in the country. However, the situation changed after the release of Heil Hitler. 'He's made a lot of offensive comments that my officials looked at again once he released the Heil Hitler song, and he no longer has a valid visa in Australia,' said Burke. The decision comes in the wake of another visa cancellation, that of an Israeli-American tech advocate who had publicly stated that 'Islamophobia is rational.' When asked if such bans are sustainable especially in light of global tours by controversial figures, Burke was clear: 'I think that what's not sustainable is to import hatred.' Netizens react Longtime fans of the artist and critics alike had a lot to say. 'He actually dropped a song called that omg?😭😭😭,' asked one netizen on X. Another claimed, 'Australia is the only Western country I've seen stand on business about letting bigotry into their country!' One more comment said, 'Notice how no one even knew he released a song called that because no one is checking for Kanye in the big 2025.' Another read, 'Australia ate that, they need to do this in EVERY country!' Ye has faced mounting criticism in recent years for making inflammatory, antisemitic remarks, including publicly praising Hitler and denying the Holocaust — remarks that led to widespread condemnation and the loss of several brand partnerships. Whether the rapper will address the ban publicly remains to be seen. But for now, Australia has made its position clear: hate has no visa.
