Charlamagne tha God tells Lara Trump he likes Jon Stewart for 2028
"We've seen him get legislation and stuff, you know, passed before, like we know where his heart is. He'd be somebody I'd like to see really get in the race and disrupt things in 2028," Charlamagne told Lara Trump.
Charlamagne, co-host of The Breakfast Club, said in an episode of his show on July 31 that he doesn't know if Harris should run again in 2028. "I definitely would like to see her write a book. I definitely would like to see her start a podcast and just build a real connection with people," he said.
Harris said on July 30 that her leadership and public service "will not be in elected office" for now. Harris is currently writing a book, two people with knowledge of her plans said, and is expected to go on tour.

Calvin Harris sparks debate with placenta Instagram post
The Dumfries-born DJ praised his "superhero" wife Vick Hope as he shared a series of photos showing the moments after their home birth. In the post on Instagram, Harris said: "20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah" The photos depict Harris holding his son, but he also uploaded a shot of his wife's placenta, alongside images which appeared to show the organ being dehydrated and turned into pills. Consuming one's own placenta, known as placentophagia, remains a debated practice with some claiming it offers health benefits. Fans have offered a mixed reaction to the post, which has since gathered more than 500,000 likes on Instagram. Thank you for normalising home birth (and placentas!) with these beautiful pictures. What a dream". And musician Becky Hill responded: "love to see the placenta!! amazing we grow a whole new organ to provide life! good job not wasting it either, that's some goddess magic right there!" However, others reacted with surprise to the images and questioned whether it was necessary to include the photos without warning. One fan said: "Congrats [heart emoji] First 2 pics would have been enough tho..." Another fan said: "A disclaimer about the placenta would've been nice tho!" Meanwhile, one person commented: "Should've listened to that tweet", referring to a viral post on Twitter/X warning people against viewing the post. Donald Trump says JD Vance is 'most likely' to lead the GOP in 2028
Trump has been hesitant to delve too deeply into 2028 speculation, saying in the past that it's too soon to discuss who will lead the GOP after him. Asked by Fox News shortly after his election if Vance was his chosen successor, Trump said: "No, but he's very capable." "It's too early," he added. Trump again said Aug. 5 that it's "too early" to discuss Vance as his successor, but he acknowledged he has an edge as vice president. "He's doing a great job, and he would probably be favored at this point," Trump said. Trump has toyed with the idea of running for president again himself, despite the U.S. Constitution prohibiting him from seeking a third term. But the president said that while he'd like to run again, he is unlikely to. When asked in a CNBC interview whether he would "run again," Trump said, "No. Probably not." "Probably not," he said a second time with a laugh. Contributing: Francesca Chambers, USA TODAY

Trump says FBI may arrest Texas Democrats who fled over redistricting
Trump made the remarks when asked by a reporter about Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn's request earlier in the day for the FBI to "take any appropriate steps to aid in Texas state law enforcement efforts to locate or arrest" the Democratic lawmakers. Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott ordered the Texas Department of Public Safety Aug. 4 to arrest the Democratic lawmakers. His order was designed to force the absconding legislators to comply with civil arrest warrants that state Republican lawmakers voted to issue earlier in the day. However, it has not been clear how Texas law enforcement would be able to force the Democrats back to Texas when they are in states where local law enforcement might not be willing to execute the warrants. Many of them went to the Chicago area in Illinois, where Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker greeted them. Others went to Boston, Massachusetts and Albany, New York. "A lot of people are demanding they come back," Trump said Aug. 5. "You can't just sit it out. You have to go back." Contributing: Savannah Kuchar - USA TODAY
