Tom Felton is happy he's had Daniel Radcliffe to "hold [his] hand" as he prepares for his Broadway debut.
The 37-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Draco Malfoy for a stint in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and while he's never appeared on the New York stage before, his Harry Potter co-star - who played the titular boy wizard in all eight films - has starred in five productions so has been only too happy to offer help and guidance to his friend.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Tony Awards in New York on Sunday (08.06.25), Tom told People magazine: "My old school chum, Potter, Radcliffe, has done quite a bit of Broadway, so he's holding my hand and certainly helping me through all the things that are hard to learn.
"But from what I gather, it's an amazing community of people. The fans are really, really gracious and excited. So I'm just thrilled to be part of it."
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set 19 years after the end of the main series, and Tom is "excited" to explore new sides to Draco now he is an adult.
He said: "I just never saw myself having blonde hair again and reprising that role. Now as a dad, Draco has a son. So yes, it is an old character, but in a very new set of circumstances. I'm excited to explore it."
The actor admitted he is a "huge fan of the show" and has seen the play "a dozen times, mainly in England and a few times now on Broadway."
Tom - who will be performing in the show from November 11, 2025, until March 22, 2026 - recently admitted he "immediately cried" when he put on his character's distinctive blonde wig for the first time.
He told Today.com: "It's very, very easy to get emotional.
'When they put my blonde wig on for the theatre production, I just immediately cried. It was just sort of like a blast from the past.'
Presale tickets for the show featuring Tom will be available on June 10 at 11am EST. Tickets for the general public will go on sale on June 12 at 11am EST.

Scott and Kelley Wolf split after 21 years

Scott and Kelley Wolf have split after 21 years of marriage. The Party of Five actor and the 48-year-old reality star - who have Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11, together - married in May 2004 after two years together, but on Tuesday (10.06.25) Kelley confirmed they have separated following a "long, quiet journey", though she declined to give any details. She wrote on Instagram: 'It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage. "This has been a long, quiet journey for me—rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children. While I will not speak publicly about the details, I feel peace knowing that I've done everything I can to walk this path with integrity and compassion.' Kelley went on to praise Scott, 57, as a great dad and "one of the best partners" she could have shared her life with as she vowed to put the children first. She continued: 'Scott Wolf is one of the best fathers I've ever known and one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with. 'He is kind, thoughtful, funny, and beautiful in spirit. We both look forward to an extraordinary life centered around the most extraordinary children. My priority has always been their wellbeing—and my own healing. That will never change. 'I am stepping into a chapter of peace, freedom, and protection—with grace. Thank you to the many friends, family, and professionals who have held space for me with love. Please respect our privacy during this time. May we all remember: healing isn't loud. It's sacred. [white heart emoji]." Scott admitted it hadn't been an easy decision for the couple to separate. He told People magazine: "After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley. Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter." Last year, the former The Real World: New Orleans star admitted she had come close to leaving their relationship in the past but Scott had vowed to fight for them to stay together. Marking their 20th wedding anniversary, Kelley shared the story on Instagram as she recalled telling Scott: 'I love you. I love you more than I've ever loved anybody. I almost loved you enough to stop loving myself. But I remembered that nothing in life is going to last if I leave myself behind. I can see the future of that scenario and one day you'll wake up and wonder what happened to that girl and I won't even remember who she was. Well, I had promised her that I would never ever leave her again. so when you're ready, I'll be here, but I will not stick around while somebody tries to excavate fault in me.' And he responded: "You are really going to leave. I believe you. I can see it. I can feel it. And there is no chance in hell I am going to let that happen, so let's do this. Let's do this hard part, the uncomfortable part. The part where I have to look in the mirror and see my old pattern where I have tried to find fault in somebody in the hopes that I would prove that nobody can really do the hard stuff and stick around.'' Kelley added: 'And that day, I won't go into all the details, but we went into the cave. Together. And when we came out, you couldn't find two people more bonded, more connected, and more clear about the promise we were about to make to each other."

R Kelly seeks to move to house arrest over death plot fear

R. Kelly has made a bid to be released from prison. The I Believe I Can Fly singer - who is serving a 31-year sentence for child sexual abuse crimes - is seeking to be removed from federal custody and placed on house arrest after alleging his life is in danger behind bars. An emergency motion for temporary furlough was filed in federal court on Tuesday (10.06.25) and alleges three officials with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) devised a plot to have Kelly killed by another inmate. The filing, which was obtained by People magazine, contains a declaration from the inmate, Mikeal Glenn Stine, who alleged he was asked to carry out the plot by three high-ranking individuals while serving his sentence at the United States Penitentiary Tucson in Arizona. Stine claimed to be a member of the Aryan Brotherhood and was titled commissioner at one point, which gave him the "power to order beatings, stabbings, and executions that were carried out by other members of the A.B." He alleged a BOP official who had previously "directed [Stine] to order assaults, beatings, and killings of inmates" approached him about killing the 58-year-old singer, and he was then transferred across the country to the Federal Correctional Institute Butner in North Carolina where Kelly is behind bars, and was eventually placed in the same unit as him. If he completed the act, Stine alleged officials told him he'd be allowed to escape from custody and live out his final months as a "free man", which appealed because he said he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer at the time. Shortly after being relocated, he alleged an official approached him and said: "You need to do what you came here for." But after watching Kelly for weeks, he had a change of heart and told the singer about the supposed plot. Stine - who has filed more than 100 civil suits and petitions in federal court over the last two decades - claimed he would undergo a polygraph test to establish he is telling the truth and said he'd also reveal the names of those inmates whose beatings and killings he has been involved with over the years. Kelly's lawyer argued in the filing that "drastic relief is warranted" to protect his client. The attorney added: "Mr. Kelly's continued incarceration while he knows his life is in jeopardy constitutes cruel and unusual punishment." After being attacked in the past, Kelly is said to be even more fearful of a future incident because he believes prison staff may not adequately protect him. His attorney Beau Brindley told People: "He is not safe in federal custody. And to keep him in prison while he is under threat like this is cruel and unusual punishment."

Talking Heads star David Byrne to tour Australia after new album drops

David Byrne will tour Australia in January in support of a new album of music, Who is the Sky?, set for release in September. It will be the first time the former frontman of Talking Heads has played in this country since bringing his acclaimed American Utopia tour here in 2018. As with that tour, the new show will feature a free-roaming band of musicians, singers and dancers, unencumbered by leads and amplifiers and able to roam the stage at will (albeit in highly choreographed fashion). Many of the line-up for this tour also performed in American Utopia, a show that later moved to Broadway and was filmed by Spike Lee for a documentary released in 2020. In recent weeks, 73-year-old Byrne has been teasing some upcoming news on his social media accounts. 'Hi, I'm working on something new and will have more news to share soon,' he said in a video posted on May 30, before offering a glimpse of new audio and typically idiosyncratic dance moves 'in the meantime'. The news of a tour and a new album comes at a busy moment for the prolifically but sporadically creative Byrne. June 5 marked the 50th anniversary of the first gig by Talking Heads at legendary New York City venue CBGB, and to celebrate the occasion a video clip for the band's 1977 single Psycho Killer was released. Directed by indie filmmaker Mike Mills and starring Oscar-winning Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, the clip – the first officially made for the song – appears to depict a woman gradually going through a depressive episode as the repetitive nature of her ordinary life begins to grind her down. Despite the re-release in 2023 of a remastered version of the band's Jonathan Demme-directed concert film Stop Making Sense (to mark its 40th anniversary), rumours of a reunion and tour for the band remain just that, in part because of lingering tension between him and bassist Tina Weymouth.
