Nashik: The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) is once again planning to launch a seaplane service from Gangapur dam in Nashik to Mumbai in a bid to boost tourism in the region, especially ahead of the Kumbh Mela.
The initiative was first proposed a decade ago, in 2015, but it could not be started due to some technical reasons.
"We have already invited expressions of interest from private firms to operate the seaplanes. We are looking for a positive response," Chandrashekhar Jaiswal, general manager of MTDC, told TOI. He further said that the corporation has decided to start the service on seven other routes in the state as well.
The seven routes are Mumbai to Ganpatipule (Ratnagiri), Mumbai to Koyna dam (Satara), Mumbai to Ujani dam (Solapur), Mandwa (Alibaug) to Ganpatipule (Ratnagiri), Panshet (Pune) to Ujani (Solapur), Ujani (Solapur) to Koyna Dam (Satara), and Koyna (Satara) to Panshet (Pune).
MTDC officials said the service will begin soon after the bidding process is completed.
Jaiswal said, "We aim to introduce seaplanes in Maharashtra to improve air connectivity to key tourist destinations, including heritage sites, wildlife reserves, beaches and major cities.

Tyreek Hill trade still in play as Dolphins weigh cap relief amid offseason turmoil

Tyreek Hill's $29M gamble ( Image credit: Imagn Images) The Miami Dolphins are making headlines with a bold financial commitment to wide receiver Tyreek Hill, locking in $29 million as part of a lucrative contract restructure. This high-stakes decision underscores the franchise's belief in Hill's long-term value, even as the star receiver faces personal and professional challenges. Dolphins bet big on Tyreek Hill despite dip and drama Tyreek Hill, known for his electrifying speed and game-changing plays, saw a dip in his 2024 performance, posting career-low stats in receptions and yardage. Despite missing the playoffs, Miami is doubling down on their faith in the 'Cheetah,' guaranteeing him $65 million over the next three seasons and solidifying a $90 million package through 2026. This move gives Hill the most fully guaranteed money ever earned by an NFL wide receiver without extending the contract—a landmark financial commitment in the league. However, this decision comes on the heels of a turbulent offseason. Hill's personal life made tabloid waves after his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, filed for divorce following an alleged domestic incident. Although no legal charges emerged, the episode cast a shadow over Hill's public image. From a team-building perspective, the Dolphins' restructuring creates cap flexibility while also betting on Hill's leadership and bounce-back potential. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Pare a neuropatia: descubra como NeuroFit Undo It's a message to the league, Miami isn't panicking they're investing in their core, even amid controversy. Trade buzz grows as Dolphins weigh financial fallout in Tyreek Hill saga Still, trade speculation lingers. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the possibility of moving on from Hill isn't off the table. 'That could change in a couple of days. Given the realities of Hill's contract (re-done in 2024), it makes sense for the Dolphins to hold Hill until June 2 or later. That's when the cap consequences can be spread over two years.' 'For now, Hill has $28.296 million in unallocated bonus money that will hit the cap. A pre-June 1 trade means all of it lands in 2025. A post-June 1 trade limits the 2025 dead money to $12.728 million, with the remaining $15.568 million landing on the cap in 2026,' he wrote. Also read: 'I've got to prove myself': Tyreek Hill vows to prove himself again as Dolphins fans brace for a defining season This financial breakdown suggests Miami may be strategically waiting for the post-June 1 window, where a potential trade would be significantly less damaging to their salary cap. As the 2025 season looms, this $29 million gamble could either reestablish Hill as the league's most feared wideout or mark the beginning of a calculated exit from South Florida.

Blue Water Logistics to debut on NSE SME on June 3. Here's what GMP indicates

Blue Water Logistics is set to make its stock market debut on the NSE SME platform on Tuesday, following a successful initial public offering that garnered healthy interest from investors. However, ahead of its listing, the stock is showing no activity in the grey market, suggesting a muted start on the bourses. According to the latest update, the grey market premium (GMP) for Blue Water Logistics remains at Rs 0. With the IPO's upper price band fixed at Rs 135, the expected listing price also stands at Rs 135, implying no immediate listing gains or losses for investors. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Gran oportunidad para inversionistas con $300,000 dólares Financiación Empresarial Más información Undo The Rs 42.99 crore IPO, which was open for subscription from May 28 to May 30, was entirely a fresh issue of 31.85 lakh equity shares. The issue was oversubscribed by more than 9 times overall, indicating strong interest despite the lack of any grey market momentum. Blue Water Logistics is engaged in providing logistics and supply chain solutions for liquid and bulk cargo, particularly catering to the petrochemical and oil industries. The company specializes in providing end-to-end services including transportation, storage, and distribution of liquid chemicals and petroleum products across India. The funds raised through the IPO will be used to purchase tankers and containers, invest in working capital, repay borrowings, and for general corporate purposes. MUFG Intime India Private Limited (Link Intime) is the registrar to the issue, and the shares will be listed on NSE SME. Live Events Despite the solid fundamentals and demand in the IPO, market observers remain cautious due to the flat GMP. The absence of a premium may reflect broader SME market sentiment or valuation concerns, and investors will be watching closely to see how the stock performs once listed.
