Zazzaroni: ‘Gasperini Would Let Roma Sell Manu Kone If They Can Complete The Squad'
Gian Piero Gasperini would allow Roma to sell Inter Milan target Manu Kone if it allows them to complete their squad. This according to Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni, via FCInterNews. Last week, news emerged that Inter Milan are interested in Roma midfielder Manu Kone. The Frenchman has come into the Nerazzurri's sights as a reinforcement in holding midfield. Reports indicate that Inter put a bid of around €45 million on the table. However, subsequent reports indicated that the Giallorossi have decided not to accept Inter's offer. That despite the fact that the capital club are facing a somewhat difficult financial situation. Therefore, there is no hiding the fact that a sale of a player like Kone for a substantial fee could certainly be a big help for Roma financially. He admitted that Roma are within Financial Fair Play constraints, and that a sale of the Frenchman could be helpful. Zazzaroni comments that 'Kone isn't unsellable.' 'He would accept a sacrifice. But only if it allows them to complete the squad.' Meanwhile, Zazzaroni reports that 'Friedkin has never vetoed the idea of a sale.'

Gasperini: ‘Everyone knows Roma Financial Fair Play situation'
Gian Piero Gasperini keeps Roma on their toes, insisting Inter target Manu Koné is 'an important player,' but he won't rule out a sale. 'Everyone knows the Financial Fair Play situation.' The Giallorossi were in action today with a 2-2 draw against Saudi Pro League side NEOM in Frosinone. When the coach spoke to reporters after the friendly game, inevitably he was asked about this week's big story, as talks with Inter for the sale of Koné were started and then abandoned. Gasperini has good and bad news for Roma New Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini with Claudio Ranieri and Florent Ghisolfi 'This is a team that has quality and we must try to improve it along with the club. There is great clarity with the club and we share ideas on what needs to be done,' said Gasperini. When he was asked if he could therefore rule out the potential sale of Koné, however, the tactician had to keep his options open. 'We'll see what happens over the next two weeks. Koné is undoubtedly a very good player, it would be a loss. We must see what we can do from now to the end of the transfer session, because everyone knows the Financial Fair Play situation.' (Photo by) Gasperini also seemed to vent his irritation at the delays in bringing in the wide attacking players that he had asked for, specifically Jadon Sancho from Manchester United and Aston Villa's Leon Bailey. 'We've not had anything new coming in for three weeks now. If possible, we should get some new players without losing them. 'I have been very clear with the club on what needs to be done. Now we just hope that we can do it.'

Photo by SylvainHow to Watch Nice vs Toulouse Date: Saturday, August 16, 2025 Time: 3:05 PM EDT Location: Allianz Riviera, Nice, France Channel: beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS En Español Stream: Fubo (Start your subscription now) After a superlative end to last season, Nice is hoping to pick up exactly where it left off as it gets the new Ligue 1 campaign up and running at home to Toulouse on Saturday. Les Aiglons won four of their final five fixtures to snag fourth place at the end of the 2024/25 season, while Toulouse is hoping to progress its prospects after a mid-table finish. That being said, Nice has already started its campaign after losing to Benfica in a two-legged Champions League qualifier play-off. As a result, Franck Haise's men will settle for a spot in the second-tier Europa League. It was only two seasons ago that Toulouse took part in the continental competition itself, with the club targeting a return to those sunny climes this term. And manager Carles Martinez Novell will be bringing much of the same team to the fore this time around, though much of Toulouse's summer business has been through the departures gate. The same can be said for Nice, which has sold defender Jean-Clair Todibo (who spent last season on loan at West Ham anyway), striker Evann Guessand, and goalkeeper Marcin Bulka for a combined fee of around $100 million. The club has spent just $25 million on new signings in a frugal trend among Ligue 1 clubs this summer, but Nice will nonetheless hope it's enough to break back into the elite spots.
