
New installation at Dilli Haat to honour Indian armed forces
Art and culture minister Kapil Mishra inaugurated an installation at Dilli Haat dedicated to Operation Sindoor, honouring the Indian armed forces' valour in destroying terrorist hideouts.

Operation Sindoor
, dedicated to the valour of the Indian armed forces, was inaugurated at Dilli Haat by art and culture minister Kapil Mishra on Wednesday.
The installation highlights how Indian forces destroyed terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
In a symbolic gesture, visitors were invited to apply 'sindoor' (vermilion) at the installation as a 'tilak' in tribute to the armed forces.The tourism department of Delhi govt plans to set up similar installations at other places in the city.
Mishra said that the installation was aimed at honouring the courage and sacrifices of the Indian Army. He stated that it would serve as a reminder of the bravery and heroism of Indian soldiers for the visitors.
Meanwhile, Mishra held an interactive meeting at Delhi Secretariat with renowned artists from various disciplines. He listened to their ideas and said that these would be incorporated into govt's upcoming initiatives. The artists proposed that art and culture-related events be organised in all legislative constituencies to provide platforms for emerging talent.
They also suggested the construction of a cultural complex dedicated to talented people living in slum areas. Additionally, they demanded the creation of a dedicated digital portal for artist registration and recognition. TNN
