EXCLUSIVE: Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani gear up for ‘Reverse Masti' in fourth part
And now, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that the fourth instalment of Masti franchise will take a different route from the last 3 films. A source shares, 'Masti 4 is more of a 'Reverse Masti', as the female protagonists will also be indulging in an extra-marital affair. While the first 3 parts revolved around a comedy taking place due to extra-marital affairs of the 3 male protagonists, the fourth one has an exciting arc of a double play between husbands and their wives leads. All the characters indulge in a comic battle for one upmanship.'
The source further informs that the shoot is going on in full swing, and the makers are looking to release it in Summer 2026. 'The story-telling template of Masti 4 is more on the lines of Masti than Grand Masti and Great Grand Masti. It's a screenplay driven comedy, and also has a little element of thrill in the story. The makers have put together a big ensemble cast to support the three principal characters,' the source adds.
Meanwhile, Indra Kumar is currently sitting on the edit of his next directorial, Total Dhamaal led by Ajay Devgn with Riteish Deshmukh, Madhuri Dixit and Javed Jaffrey among others. Milap on the other hand is gearing up for the release of Deewaniyaat with Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates!

Ranbir Kapoor Left Kishore Kumar Biopic For Ramayana, Reveals Anurag Basu: ‘Tough Choice Tha'
Anurag Basu believes Ranbir Kapoor made the right decision by choosing Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana over the Kishore Kumar biopic. Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's epic retelling of the Ramayana. He plays Lord Ram in the highly anticipated film that will arrive in two parts—first in Diwali 2026 and the second in Diwali 2027. Ranbir Kapoor was earlier linked to Kishore Kumar biopic directed by Anurag Basu, but later reports suggested that the role had been offered to Aamir Khan instead. Now, Anurag Basu has revealed that both he and Ranbir wish to collaborate with each other, but it hasn't been possible due to scheduling conflicts and other commitments. He revealed that Ranbir was faced with a challenging decision- choosing between Kishore Kumar biopic or Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. The actor chose the latter, and while it was a 'tough choice' for him, Anurag Basu believes he made the right choice. In a recent interview with BBC News, Anurag Basu talked about wanting to collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor. 'Haa hopefully. Hum dono toh koshish karte hi rehte hain. Ho nahi raha hai. Woh bhi kar raha hai kaafi saari filmein. (Yes, hopefully. Both of us keep trying, but it's just not happening. He's also working on quite a few films)." He further added that Ranbir was faced with a 'tough choice', and that he chose Ramayana over Kishore Kumar biopic. 'Ranbir ke paas choice tha life mein. Aur bechare ke paas wo choice itna mushkil tha uske liye. Kishore ya Ramayana. Kaunsa Pehle shuru kare. Bohot tough choice tha uske liye. Aur usne fir Ramayana chuna. I think it was the right decision. (Ranbir had a choice to make in life, and honestly, it was a really tough one for him — Kishore Kumar or Ramayana. Which one to start first? It was a very difficult decision. In the end, he chose Ramayana, and I think it was the right call)," said Anurag Basu. Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor have worked together in the 2012 film 'Barfi' and the 2017 film 'Jagga Jasoos'. Meanwhile, Pinkvilla reported that Anurag Basu has offered the Kishore Kumar biopic to Aamir Khan. They reportedly met four to five times so far to discuss the film, and the actor is fascinated by the vision of the director for the biopic. When asked about Aamir Khan being considered for the film, Anurag Basu recently told Mid-Day, ''No comment. Until everything is finalised and the contract is signed, I don't think I should speak on it." He added, 'This project went through a lot of ups and downs. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it happens this time and I go on set with the story, which I've been trying to tell for the last decade. So, I won't jinx it by speaking about it." Son of Sardaar 2 Advance Booking: Ajay Devgn's Film Sells 27,000 Tickets Amid Saiyaara Fever
Last Updated: Serving as a sequel to the 2012 hit comedy film Son Of Sardaar, the Ajay Devgn film has reportedly received lower-than-expected advance bookings. Son of Sardaar 2 has finally hit theaters and it is expected to face stiff competition from Dhadak 2 at the box office. Serving as a sequel to the 2012 hit comedy film Son Of Sardaar, the Ajay Devgn film has reportedly received lower-than-expected advance bookings. The multi-starrer, including Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait and others promises to be a laughter riot with the essence of chaos similar to its predecessor. As per a Pinkvilla report, Son Of Sardaar 2 sold around 27,000 tickets on its first day in the top three national chains (PVR Inox and Cinepolis). The film is experiencing low-key pre-sales. Moreover, the film will be released in 2500 to 3000 screens in India, which is a strategic move given the box office competition with Dhadak 2 and previous releases Saiyaara and Mahavatar Narsimha. Despite being a sequel to a successful film, Son Of Sardaar 2 is expected to launch with a modest Rs 6.5 to Rs 7 crore. According to an old PV report, the film's distributors had been attempting to get a hefty 60 per cent share of total shows, but several exhibitors have refused to comply. The report mentioned, 'While some single screens have agreed on two-shows per-day, the non-national chains are willing to give not more than 35 per cent shows to Son of Sardaar 2. This has left PVRInox fuming, and the fight is on to secure more shows." Son Of Sardaar 2 Boasts Of An Ensemble Cast Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film would see Ajay Devgn reprise his role as Jaswinder 'Jassi" Singh Randhawa. The new movie will follow Jassi to Scotland to reconcile with his wife. Once there, he becomes involved in a mob battle and a violent wedding. Son Of Sardaar 2 also stars Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Chunkey Panday, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia and others. Originally slated for July 25, it was finally released on August 1, clashing with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's Dhadak 2. Son of Sardar 2 is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande and is presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, as well as by SOS 2 Limited. N R Pachisia and Pravin Talreja produced the film, which was co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
