Nari Shakti by NANDA ignites Dubai with a powerful celebration of Indian culture and womanhood
In a dazzling celebration of Indian culture, classical art, and feminine strength, Nari Shakti – meaning "Power of Women" – took center stage in Dubai, leaving over 1,500 attendees deeply moved. Conceived and executed entirely by women, this landmark event featured more than 100 Indian classical dancers from across the UAE, presenting 15 captivating performances, culminating in the breathtaking Bharatanatyam production Agni Kanye. Masterminded by visionary choreographer and cultural ambassador Guru Iswarya Bharadwaj, founder of NANDA Performing Arts Centre and Gulf Indian Performing Arts & Music Society (GIPAMS), the event showcased the UAE's dedication to nurturing artistic excellence, community spirit, and gender empowerment. The highlight, Agni Kanye, portrayed the life and emotional journey of Draupadi — an iconic symbol of resilience, dignity, and divine strength. The production featured performers ranging in age from 5 to 50, demonstrating intergenerational collaboration and the unifying power of the arts. This grand showcase, supported by Indian People's Forum (IPF) and several local organisations and brands, was a testament to grassroots creativity —complete with handmade props, original costumes, and all-women-led planning and execution. The evening also featured inclusive exhibits from people of determination and women creators. As part of the celebration, the Nari Shakti title was conferred upon three inspiring women: "Nari Shakti is more than a show, it's a movement," said Iswarya Bharadwaj."I envision launching corporate wellness programmes driven by the arts, counselling aspiring artists, and performing for the Rulers of the UAE to honour their inclusive vision and unwavering support for culture and women." Having performed across 500+ global stages, including the UK Parliament and Expo 2020 Dubai, Iswarya's journey from a humble upbringing in the UAE to becoming a celebrated global performer is a reflection of the Emirates' inclusive and aspirational ethos.

Claire Dominics Buro curates 'Between Worlds' - the groundbreaking launch of Lens by Noor at Noor Royal Gallery
Noor Royal Gallery, one of Dubai's most elegant and conceptually curated art spaces, has extended its debut photography exhibition, Between Worlds, until July 23, following overwhelming public response. Curated and art-directed by the award-winning interior design studio Claire Dominics Buro, the exhibition launched as the inaugural show under the gallery's new visual arts programme, Lens by Noor, and brings together works by 16 international photographers in a sensory experience unlike any other in the UAE. Rather than organising by theme or style, Between Worlds is divided into five immersive zones, each unfolding like a chapter, exploring transitions between silence and motion, presence and memory, the real and the imagined. A hallmark of Claire Dominics Buro's design philosophy is the intentional placement of each photograph - from the stillness of a desert at noon to the blurred motion of passing strangers. The result is a spatial and emotional journey guided by contrast, composition, and narrative rhythm. 'Photography is the pause between reality and reflection,' says Claire Ordovsky-Tanaevsky, founder and creative director. 'But when staged with curatorial sensitivity, that pause becomes a story—immersive, layered, unforgettable.' With a strong background in cultural storytelling and high-end hospitality design, the studio approached the exhibition not just as a display, but as an experience. Walls were sequenced like sentences. Light became narrative. Silence became space. One visitor described the experience as: "Frames filled with grace and stillness. Countries and cities that speak no louder than the silence. People no longer posing. These photographs aren't watched - they're entered. Each one feels like a revelation spoken in a forgotten language we instantly recognise.' The venue itself - home to rare works by Picasso and Pissarro, and set within Noor Royal Gallery's refined architectural frame - added further depth and dignity to the exhibition. 'Curating in a space as beautiful and serene as Noor,' says Konstantin Ordovsky-Tanaevsky, CEO and partner of Claire Dominics Buro, 'allowed us to shape something both visually strong and emotionally resonant.' As Noor Royal Gallery deepens its cultural footprint, and Claire Dominics Buro continues to redefine the language of design and emotion, Between Worlds stands as a testament to what can emerge when vision, story, and space align.

Bicester Village Has Published Its Own Newspaper Filled With Shopping Tips And Tricks
From where to pause for the perfect cappuccino, to which hotel should serve as a stylish pitstop, let Bicester Village's new guide help you make the most of your shopping sprees this summer… In a charming nod to the golden age of travel, Bicester Village has launched The Villager, an expertly curated print journal that serves as a love letter to local discovery, as well as giving some hints and hacks to making the most out of your shopping opportunities in the UK this summer. Available at The Village News, a chic newsstand tucked within Bicester Village, The Villager is the first chapter in a wider initiative spanning the nine European destinations of The Bicester Collection. The publication celebrates what lies beyond the boutiques and brands to know, from where to enjoy a plate of perfect pasta in Marylebone before hopping on the train, to where to stay in the Cotswolds if you're keen to pair a countryside escape with a chic shopping interlude. Accompanying the inaugural issue of The Villager are three limited-edition travel itineraries: one for fashion lovers, another for foodies, and a third for those who love the great outdoors. Each presents a plan for a two-day escape weaving together London's inner-city flair, Bicester Village's premier retail destination, and the rural glory of the English countryside – think morning coffees in the capital, an afternoon's retail therapy, finished off with a sunset walk through picture-perfect villages. That's not all. A series of summer initiatives will bring the project to life. In partnership with Phaidon Books, The Village News will host a rotating library of literary treasures, shining a spotlight on the best food, garden, and travel writing. Music buffs will also find plenty to enjoy – Summer Sessions every Friday in July will see the Village's terraces transform into vibrant hubs for live music, complete with cocktail and gourmet food menus to match. For Bicester Village members, there is even more to benefit from – expect exclusive access to cultural gems, such as discounts to Blenheim Palaces and ultra-luxe retreats to Daylesford Spa. The project is underpinned by admirable altruism – all proceeds from The Village News will go to The Bicester Collection's Do Good initiative, continuing its long-standing commitment to philanthropy. Making every trip even more enjoyable is Bicester Village's Apartment offering, which offers six dedicated lounges complete with complimentary drinks and refreshments, all designed to feel like an Old-English haven. Whether its the Hands Free Shopping, valet parking, home delivery, priority boutique entry, or concierge, its list of VIP services will ensure a seamless day's shopping, while its private client services include personally tailored experiences – from previews of seasonal collections and intimate lunches with designers to guest speaker events. What's more, Bicester Village also partners with a range of airlines on their loyalty programmes, including Emirates Skywards, Etihad Guest, Qatar Privilege Club, Saudia Al Fursan, and Turkish Airlines, among others, bringing extra rewards to every shopping trip.
