Watch: Post Eagles victory parade as 2 women shot during Super Bowl celebration
Two women were shot during the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl celebration near the parade route on Friday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore stated that a man wearing an Eagles jersey opened fire along Ben Franklin Parkway. Both victims are in stable condition.
Authorities are investigating whether the shooter knew the women and are working to determine a motive.
The shooting follows a similar incident during last year's Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl parade, where local radio personality Lisa Lopez-Galvan was killed and more than 22 others were injured in a dispute involving two juveniles.
Philadelphia has seen previous celebrations turn tragic.
After the Eagles won the NFC Championship against the Washington Commanders, a college student died after falling from a street pole.
Police continue to investigate the latest shooting as the city grapples with security concerns at large-scale events.

Shannon Sharpe temporarily steps down from ESPN duties amid $50 million lawsuit
Shannon Sharpe, the Hall of Fame tight end turned TV personality, announced on Thursday that he is stepping away from his duties at ESPN for the time being. His decision follows a $50 million civil lawsuit filed against him by a woman who alleges that he raped and threatened her. In a statement, Sharpe said he would return to his ESPN role at the beginning of the NFL preseason, which begins with the first game on July 31. 'I will be devoting this time to my family, and responding and dealing with these false and disruptive allegations set against me,' he said. 'I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming and ongoing support I have received from my family, fans, friends and colleagues.' The lawsuit was filed on Sunday in Clark County, Nevada, by a woman identified as Jane Doe. According to court documents, the woman met Sharpe at a gym in Los Angeles in 2023 when she was 20 years old, and the two had a relationship that lasted nearly two years. The documents claim that Sharpe raped her in October 2024 and again in January, in addition to using physical force and causing emotional distress. Sharpe, 56, has denied the allegations through a lawyer's statement posted on his X account on Monday. The statement described the relationship as consensual and called the lawsuit a 'blatant and cynical attempt to shake down' Sharpe for money. Sharpe is a three-time Super Bowl champion, having won twice with the Denver Broncos and once with the Baltimore Ravens during his 14-season NFL career from 1990 to 2003. He was a four-time All-Pro selection and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. At the time of his retirement, Sharpe held the NFL records for tight ends in receptions (815), receiving yards (10,060), and touchdowns (62), all of which have since been surpassed. Following his retirement, Sharpe became a major figure in sports media. He was a longtime co-host of FS1's debate show 'Undisputed' before leaving the network in 2023 and moving to ESPN, where he has continued to be a prominent voice in sports commentary.

Shannon Sharpe steps away from ESPN amid $50M lawsuit
Shannon Sharpe announced he's stepping away from ESPN temporarily following a $50M sexual assault lawsuit filed against him. The lawsuit, filed in Clark County, Nevada, accuses Sharpe of rape, physical abuse, and emotional distress during an alleged relationship that began in 2023. The plaintiff, listed as Jane Doe, claims Sharpe assaulted her on two occasions—once in October 2024 and again in January 2025. In a statement shared on Thursday, Sharpe denied the allegations and called them 'false and disruptive.' He emphasized that he will use this time to focus on his family and respond to the accusations. 'I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming and ongoing support I have received from my family, fans, friends, and colleagues,' Sharpe added. Sharpe plans to return to ESPN in time for the NFL preseason, with the first game scheduled for July 31, 2025. Sharpe's legal team previously stated via X (formerly Twitter) that the relationship was consensual and described the lawsuit as a 'blatant and cynical attempt to shake down' the former NFL star. A three-time Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Sharpe retired from the NFL in 2003 with then-record stats for a tight end. Since retirement, he's become a prominent media personality, joining ESPN in 2023 after departing FS1's Undisputed.

Haley Joel Osment arrested for public intoxication at Ski Resort
Actor Haley Joel Osment, known for his role in The Sixth Sense, was arrested on April 8, 2025, at a California ski resort on charges of public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. The arrest occurred at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area after police responded to reports of "unruly conduct." Haley Joel Osment, 37, was taken into custody at around 2 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 8, after Mammoth Lakes police were called to the scene due to reports of the actor's disruptive behavior. The arrest took place in the parking lot of Mill Base Lodge, a popular location within Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. First reported by People Magazine, police sources confirmed on April 16 that Osment was charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance, which is currently believed to be cocaine. "The controlled substance right now is presumed to be cocaine. We sent it for testing. We will have the results soon," the source added. Sergeant Jason Heilman of the Mono County Sheriff's Office confirmed Osment's arrest, stating, 'He was booked and is no longer in custody." However, as of now, the Mono County District Attorney's Office has not decided whether formal charges will be filed. The incident remains under investigation. Representatives for Osment have yet to respond to requests for comment. The actor's mugshot, taken after the arrest, was later released by the Mono County Sheriff's Office. This is not Osment's first brush with the law. In 2018, the actor was involved in a public verbal altercation at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend. Additionally, in 2006, at the age of 18, Osment was charged with misdemeanor drunk driving after a car accident. He pleaded no contest to DUI and possession of marijuana charges and was sentenced to three years of probation. Osment's legal troubles have drawn attention in recent years, though the actor, who gained fame for his role in The Sixth Sense, has since continued to pursue his acting career. As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen what legal consequences Osment will face regarding the recent incident.
