Haryana CM holds Tiranga Yatra in Ladwa
With the recent arrest of alleged spies, Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the investigating agencies are on the job and if such elements are caught, strict action will be taken accordingly.
Saini said this while speaking to reporters after his Tiranga Yatra in Buhavi village of Ladwa assembly constituency in Kurukshetra on Saturday.
While also reacting on the ongoing tussle with neighbours Punjab over water, CM said, 'We've received the message that this (Punjab) government is going against the teachings of the Gurus. Even when a stranger comes home, we offer them drinking water.'
'I told the chief minister of Punjab that water is a gift of nature, and no one can be denied drinking water. It is a matter of humanity that every household should have access to water. During the monsoon, Haryana requires more water, and we've always received an adequate supply. But this time, Mann Sahab (Punjab CM) has blocked the flow and questioned the sacred traditions of the Gurus, all for petty politics,' he added.
During his public address at the event, he said that the courage, loyalty and discipline with which India's brave soldiers have carried out Operation Sindoor has become a symbol of national pride.
Many youth, women and elderly people participated in the Tiranga Yatra led by Saini and contributed enthusiastically to this campaign being run in honour of the brave soldiers of the country and those martyred in Operation Sindoor.
He said he salutes those brave soldiers who participated in Operation Sindoor and also those mothers who gave birth to such brave soldiers.
Former minister Subhash Sudha and BJP district president Tejinder Singh Goldy and others were present at the event.
On this occasion, Saini announced to give ₹21 lakh to the gram panchayat of Buhavi village for development works.

Pak Generals Want Conflict To Remain Relevant: Ravi Shankar In Germany
BJP MP and leader of the all-party delegation Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Pakistan's military establishment for supporting terrorism, saying that its Generals want conflicts to remain relevant and use terrorists as a tool to destabilise India. Addressing a community event with the Indian diaspora in Berlin, Prasad pointed out that while both India and Pakistan were born on the same day, the former has made remarkable progress in IT and space, in contrast to Islamabad. "India and Pakistan were born the same day. Where are we in India, and where are they (Pakistan)? India has become a major global IT power in the world. India has become an emerging space power in the world. The startup movements here are now globally recognised. India has also become the second biggest mobile phone manufacturer in the world. We have brought digital transformation with equity and justice," ANI quoted Prasad as saying. Prasad claimed that Pakistan only knows how to prepare world-class terrorists under its military leadership. He said that wherever there is a terrorist, he is either a Pakistani or trained in Pakistan. "What Pakistan is doing is creating terror machines. How to create world-class terrorists under their (military) Generals. They attacked us four times and lost every time. We never attacked; they were the ones who always started the war. It is because they are under the control of Generals and not political leaders. Generals want conflict to keep themselves relevant, and terrorists are the instruments through which they execute. Wherever there is a terrorist, either he is a Pakistani or trained in Pakistan," he added. Prasad also spoke about the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and India's decisive response through Operation Sindoor on May 7, noting that Operation Sindoor remains paused but ready to resume based on Pakistan's actions. "Pahalgam attack happened on April 22. We attacked on May 7 and hit the terrorist camps. If Pakistan has to talk, it must directly speak to us. Our message was stern and straight: If you stop, we stop. If you fire, we will give a stronger reply. Operation Sindoor is on pause, subject to the good behaviour of Pakistan. It has not ended," he stated. An all-party delegation, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, is currently visiting Germany as part of the Indian government's initiative to engage with key partner nations, including members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to convey India's resolute and united stand against terrorism. This initiative follows the tragic April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 innocent civilians lost their lives to gunfire from terrorists. The Delegation includes BJP MPs Daggubati Purandeswari and Samik Bhattacharya, Congress MP Amar Singh and Gulam Ali Khatana, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, AIADMK MP M Thambidurai, former Union Minister MJ Akbar and former diplomat Pankaj Saran. The delegation arrived in Germany after concluding their visit to Belgium to convey India's resolute and united stand against terrorism.

No meaningful work done for people by AAP govt in Punjab: Haryana CM Saini
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini lashed out at the AAP government in Punjab on Saturday, alleging that it has not done any meaningful work for the welfare of people. Saini further claimed that the Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab "no longer enjoys any public support" and said in the June 19 Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll , people will decide in the right direction. Saini visited Sangrur on Saturday to condole the death of veteran Akali leader and former Union minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa . He met Dhindsa's son and former Punjab finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa and expressed his grief. Talking to reporters in Sangrur, the Haryana chief minister alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab was formed on a "foundation of lies". "This government has neither done any meaningful work for the welfare of people nor does it have the will to work. Now, the people of Punjab have understood this truth," he claimed. Live Events The Mann government has "completely failed" to fulfil the promises it had made to people during elections, Saini said. He said the AAP has been exposed in Delhi, because "lies do not last long". "It no longer has any public support in Punjab and in the Ludhiana West bypoll, people will decide in the right direction," he said. Saini launched an attack on Punjab Chief Minister Mann, saying he should work for the welfare of people rather than indulging in "theatrics". Referring to the Ludhiana West bypoll, he said the voters have made up their mind that Punjab should also move ahead at a fast pace under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. The bypoll to the Ludhiana West Assembly seat in Punjab is scheduled to be held on June 19 and the counting of the votes will be taken up on June 23. The Ludhiana West seat fell vacant following AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi's death in January. Saini accused the AAP government of not implementing the Centre's welfare schemes in Punjab and depriving people of their benefits. Talking about the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Haryana, Saini said for the last 11 years, public welfare schemes are being implemented effectively under the leadership of Modi. He said the Haryana government is purchasing all crops from farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Similarly, the Punjab government should also worry about the farmers of the state and give them a fair price for their crops, he said. Saini said in the event of crop loss due to natural calamities, the Haryana government has provided a total compensation amount of more than Rs 15,500 crore to farmers in the last 10 years. Besides, vegetable-growing farmers are being given relief under the "Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana", he added. The people of Haryana are also getting the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana , while the people of Punjab are being deprived of those, he said.
