Following a third-round win over American Danielle Collins, Swiatek created a viral moment at Wimbledon off guard a bit when asked what her favorite meal is to have during tournaments.
"My team has been eating everyday a cheat meal, you know. I'm just looking at them and (saying) 'Guys, this isn't really that helpful.' I have my favorite (meal) actually, I ate it as a kid and it is pasta with strawberries."

Strawberries are part of a cultural dessert tradition at Wimbledon, often enjoyed with some cream on them. Noted by WTATennis.com, more than 2.5 million individual strawberries were served at Wimbledon in 2024.
"Why is it such a big thing? Everybody should eat that," Swiatek said after her third-round victory on July 5, according to The Associated Press. "I think in summer kids are eating it a lot. I don't know. It's just a perfect mix of tastes."
What is makaron z truskawkami? Explaining famous Polish dish
The popular Polish strawberry pasta dish that Swiatek was referring to is called makaron z truskawkami, which is translated from Polish as "pasta with strawberries" to English. As noted by WTATennis.com, makaron z truskawkami is on the sweeter pasta dishes side of the palette: It is pasta noodles topped with sauce made of either mashed or blended strawberries, sugar and something creamy (yogurt, in Swiatek's case, though some use sour cream).
"I know, I know (it sounds strange)," Swiatek later said in her news conference. "But you should try it, guys!"

6 Texas A&M players receive All-SEC honors ahead of the 2025 season

From top to bottom, the SEC is arguably the most talent-rich league across several sports. With the start of the college football season right around the corner, the conference has released its 2025 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Football Team selections. The list is packed with household names in the college football world. Some of the more notable national standouts include Anthony (Texas), Ryan Williams (Alabama), and DJ Lagway (Florida). Names familiar to Aggie fans—despite now playing outside of Aggieland- include former Aggies Eli Stowers (Vanderbilt) and LT Overton (Alabama), along with high-profile flips Cam Coleman (Auburn) and Harold Perkins (LSU). As usual, Texas A&M remains one of the more perplexing programs in college football. Routinely ranked in the top ten in recruiting, the Aggies often find themselves in the Top 20 preseason rankings, only to finish 8–4 after dropping games they were favored to win. However, expectations feel more grounded this year, thanks to the foundation Coach Mike Elko has built in his short time in Bryan–College Station. In an era when players can transfer for any reason at nearly any time, Coach Elko has earned enough trust to retain several NFL-graded talents and maintain the core of his roster, an increasingly rare feat. He enters the season with a veteran squad at key positions like offensive line, running back, and linebacker. And where there are question marks, there's depth. That's reflected in the preseason All-SEC selections, with six Aggies earning honors: First Team The lone first-team Aggie, Moss, earned this recognition. The senior was well on pace for a 1,000-yard, 12–15 touchdown season before suffering a season-ending injury after nine games. He landed on the 2024 All-SEC Second Team and earned Offensive MVP honors at the team's awards banquet. Moss finished with 765 yards on 121 carries and 10 touchdowns. Second Team A transfer from Kansas, Reed-Adams started every game at right guard. He helped power an offense that averaged 195.5 rushing yards per game—second-best in the SEC. Though he received a solid draft grade, the graduate student chose to return for one final season and will serve as a team captain. Trey Zuhn III - Offensive Line Zuhn has demonstrated year-over-year growth since he arrived in 2021. As another veteran leader up front, he played a key role in A&M's top-30 rushing attack. In 2024, he earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, landed on the All-SEC Third Team, and took home the Offensive Trenches Award at the team banquet. He'll also captain the 2025 squad. Chase Bisontis - Offensive Line Bisontis likely could've landed on the second team had he not missed three games due to injury. Like Zuhn and Reed-Adams, he played a key role in anchoring the ground game while helping protect the quarterback amid instability at the position. In 2023, he earned ESPN All-American and All-SEC Freshman honors. Will Lee III - Defensive Back Lee transferred in and immediately made his presence felt, starting all 12 regular-season games. At 6'3" with rangy arms, he posed a tough matchup for opposing receivers and ranked fifth in the SEC with 10 pass breakups. He finished with 39 tackles, 12 passes defended, and two interceptions—one returned for a touchdown. He earned a 2024 All-SEC Second Team spot and won the Defensive Skill award at the banquet. Third Team Taurean York - Linebacker What York lacks in size and speed, he more than makes up for with instincts and football IQ. A relative unknown heading into his freshman season, York grabbed the starting role and thrived. He earned spots on the ESPN and All-SEC Freshman teams and was named a Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Semifinalist. The team captain led A&M with 82 tackles—12th-best in the SEC—and finished with 83 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and an interception. Julio César Chávez Jr. deported to Mexico for alleged cartel ties and drug trafficking

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Boxer Julio César Chávez Jr. has been deported to Mexico, where he's wanted for alleged cartel ties, following his arrest in the U.S. for overstaying his visa and lying on a green card application. Chávez was handed over by authorities and admitted to a prison outside of the city of Hermosillo, in the northern state of Sonora, an official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Tuesday because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the matter. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed the news at her daily press conference. 'I understand he was deported. I don't know if it was yesterday or this morning, but we were informed that he was arriving in Mexico," Sheinbaum said. Chávez, 39, had a warrant for his arrest in Mexico for alleged arms and drug trafficking and ties to the Sinaloa Cartel. Alejandro Gertz Manero, Mexico's attorney general, said the investigation into Chávez started in 2019. The boxer, who is the son of legendary Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez, was arrested July 3 days after his high-profile fight with Jake Paul in California. Sheinbaum said after the arrest she hoped the boxer would be deported to face his charges. Chávez's father was a massive celebrity in the 1980s and '90s who mixed social circles with drug dealers and claimed to have been friends with drug lord Amado Carrillo Fuentes. The iconic fighter defended his son following his arrest, but has not spoken since the deportation. The younger Chávez has battled drug addiction for much of his boxing career, failing drug tests, serving suspensions and egregiously missing weight while being widely criticized for his intermittent dedication to the sport. Chavez won the WBC middleweight title in 2011 and defended it three times. He shared the ring with generational greats Canelo Álvarez and Sergio Martinez, losing to both. In 2012, he was convicted of drunken driving in Los Angeles and sentenced to 13 days in jail. In January 2024, he was arrested on gun charges. Police said he possessed two AR-style ghost rifles. He was later freed on a $50,000 bond and on condition he went to a residential drug treatment facility. The case is still pending, with Chávez reporting his progress regularly. ___ AP boxing: Solve the daily Crossword
