
EFG Finance announces strategic divestment from PayTabs Egypt to optimize operational efficiency
Cairo: EFG Finance, an EFG Holding company and its non-bank financial institution's arm, has announced its strategic divestment from PayTabs Egypt as part of its ongoing initiative to streamline operations and achieve greater efficiencies across its portfolio. EFG Finance will sell its 51% stake in PayTabs Egypt to PayTabs Global for an undisclosed amount, which is not expected to have a material impact on the Group's financial position.

Egypt: Al Khair River's consolidated profits jump 31.6% YoY in Q1 2025
Arab Finance: Al Khair River for Development Agricultural Investment and Environmental Services recorded net profits attributable to the parent company worth EGP 5.817 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, the financial results showed. The company posted 31.67% year-on-year (YoY) higher consolidated net profits in Q1 2025 compared with EGP 4.417 million in Q1 2024. Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) hit EGP 0.003 at the end of March 2025, an annual rise from EGP 0.002. Revenues hiked to EGP 64.92 million from EGP 41.90 million. Egypt: EGX shows mixed performance on Monday
Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday's trading session with a varied note after the EGX30 index declined by 0.54% to 32,325.12 points. On the other hand, the Sharia-compliant index, EGX33 Shariah index, rose by 0.20% to 3,366.93 points. Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index concluded the session higher by 0.23% at 9,587.22 points and by 0.07% at 13,021.73 points, respectively. The turnover amounted to EGP 3.707 billion through the exchange of 907.761 million shares in 99,617 transactions, while the market cap hit EGP 2.288 trillion. Retail investors controlled 75.56% of the total trading, while the institutions represented 24.43%. Arab and foreign traders equaled 4.06% and 3.98% of the trading transactions, respectively, whereas Egyptian investors took over 91.96%. Egyptian and Arab traders were sellers with EGP 102.209 million and EGP 1.032 million, respectively.
