
Mumbai rains: Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow 'Prateeksha' flooded
Amitabh Bachchan's iconic Juhu bungalow Prateeksha is one of Mumbai's most well-known landmarks. However, the house is currently with his daughter, Shweta Bachchan, and was seen submerged in severe flooding caused by the heavy rains.
Someone has shared a video of the scene on social media, showing waterlogged areas from the road into the bungalow premises. In the video, the person can be heard saying, 'Look how much water has accumulated here,' and also claims that Amitabh Bachchan himself came out with a wiper to help remove the water.
The person in the video says, 'No matter how much money you have, even if you're worth thousands of crores, no one can escape the Mumbai rains, not even Ambani or Amitabh Bachchan.' The video shows water everywhere on the road, with a car seen standing in the flooded area. Since the marriage, she claimed that her husband used to taunt her that her life was ruined by marrying him, and say that he could have gotten any beautiful girl like Nora Fatehi. The woman further alleged that her husband is very interested in other girls and he watches objectionable pictures and videos of other girls on social media. The victim also alleged that when she became pregnant, she was secretly given abortion pills. She further claimed that her in-laws also started harassing her for dowry. When their demand was not met, they started torturing her mentally and physically, NBT reported. She said that at the wedding, the girl's family gave jewelry worth Rs 16 lakh, a Mahindra Scorpio worth Rs 24 lakh, and Rs 10 lakh in cash to the in-laws. She claimed that about Rs 76 lakh was spent on the wedding, as per the NDTV India report. Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie earns over Rs 200 crore at box office
Agency: Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 20 (PTI) 'Coolie", featuring superstar Rajinikanth, has collected Rs 216 crore nett at the domestic box office. The film has been directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director behind projects such as Karthi's 'Kaithi", Vijay's 'Master" and 'Leo", and Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram". It released in worldwide theatres on August 14, alongside Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan's 'War 2". According to the trade tracking website Sacnilk, the film opened with Rs 65 crore nett at the domestic box office. 'Coolie" also emerged as the first Tamil film to gross over Rs 150 crore worldwide on its opening day. Its worldwide box office has already crossed the mark of Rs 400 crore. The film features Rajinikanth in the titular role of a coolie who stands up to a corrupt syndicate that exploits and abuses his former colleagues in a port town. The star-studded cast also includes Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, with Nagarjuna as antagonist and Bollywood star Aamir Khan in a special appearance. 'Coolie" is Rajinikanth's 171st film as a lead actor and also marked his first collaboration with Kanagaraj. Backed by Sun Pictures, the film is distributed by Pen Studios.
