Lack of ‘compassion' shown for Adam Bandt
Menzies Research Centre Nick Cater says it is a 'terrific move' from the Australian people for kicking Greens leader Adam Bandt out of parliament.
'I'm trying, Rita, to show the necessary compassion that one should always show to somebody who loses their job suddenly, but I'm struggling, I have to admit it,' Mr Cater told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
'Shout-out to Advance, they did play a major role behind the scenes in this exercise.
'They really have become a powerful force for good in political debate.
'Great to see the people on the conservative centre right do something really well.'

Australia must ‘pay the price' for betraying Trump on defence spending
Sky News host Andrew Bolt says Australia must 'pay the price' for slapping Donald Trump around and refusing his demand to spend more on defence. Ties between Canberra and Washington have frayed as the Trump administration launches a review of the AUKUS deal after the Albanese government resisted requests to lift defence spending to 3.5 per cent of GDP. The Albanese government also provoked frustration from the Trump administration after its decision to sanction Israel—a move which the US publicly 'condemned'. 'The US defence department says it's going to review our deal to buy the American nuclear submarines we need – critically need,' Mr Bolt said.

‘Where does it end?': Australia's sanctions on Israeli ministers slammed
Former foreign minister Alexander Downer discusses Australia's decision to put sanctions on two Israeli ministers. 'There have been various offers of two-state solutions to the Palestinians from 1948 onwards, and they have always rejected those offers,' Mr Downer told Sky News host Chris Kenny. 'This idea of sanctioning individual ministers in a liberal democracy … I think it's an extraordinary decision. 'It sets a whole set of new precedents … where does it end?'
