I'm a beauty founder – a simple gift from grandma helped me create one of the UK's fastest-growing beauty brands
THE founder of viral beauty brand Skin 47, Nic Taylor, recently shared how years of skin struggles led him to create a beauty powerhouse. After trying countless skincare products and even medication, nothing made a difference until one day, a little secret from his grandma arrived in the post. Shop 47 Skin Nic's incredible 47 Skin story began when his grandma popped a small, unassuming pot of cream in the mail. She didn't know much about it, only that a friend had picked it up from a local market stall, and she hoped it might help with Nic's skin concerns. What happened next would spark a transformation far beyond what either of them could have imagined. Within days of using the cream, Nic's skin felt smoother, calmer and clearer than it had in over a decade. The founder's discovery of Silver Chitoderm, the miracle skincare ingredient at the heart of 47 Skin's award-winning products, was the turning point. That simple gift eventually grew into 47 Skin, which is now one of the UK's fastest-growing beauty brands. Viral sensation Shop 47 Skin A cult-favourite product and number one bestseller in the 47 Skin range is the anti-blemish and scar repair serum. Retailing from £26.40, the serum is available in 30ml, 50ml, 100ml and 300ml bottles. This hardworking serum is also considered a must-have by former Made In Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh. The Silver Chitoderm ingredient works by creating an invisible barrier over the skin, helping to kill 99.9% of breakout-causing bacteria, reduce the appearance of stubborn marks and lock in hydration. While rival beauty products might tackle one issue, 47 Skin's formulas work to leave skin hydrated and protected. Shop 47 Skin Shoppers have been quick to share their experiences, with one reviewer calling it a 'game changer." Another happy buyer shared: "I am amazed at the results! "Within just a week, my skin cleared up completely, and even my dark spots have visibly faded. "These products have truly transformed my skin, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome!' Another five-star reviewer noted: "This actually works! From day two, I could visually see a difference in my skin. "I've always had bad skin since I was a teenager. "My skin is almost 100% blemish-free since using this on a daily basis. "It's easy to apply with no residual feeling, and I'm 100% happy that this has worked for me. Definitely buying more.'

Luke Littler swaps kebabs for McDonald's as 18-year-old darts star launches new burger just days after crashing out of the World Cup of Darts
Luke Littler has launched a burger at fast food chain McDonald's - named the Big Arch. Littler is riding the crest of a wave in his darts career, of which his time as a professional is still less than two years old. In that time, however, he has risen to second in the rankings and is the defending world champion. But it isn't just darts where Littler continues to excel. His brand is growing, and he continues to venture into other avenues - he has worked with Boohoo, the Sidemen, and now McDonald's. Last week, on Thursday, Littler was spotted at his local fast food franchise in Warrington, wearing a grey polo shirt and dark blue jeans alongside a camera crew. And it has now been revealed that he was launching a new burger. The sandwich has two beef patties topped with white cheddar, crispy onions, fresh onions, shredded lettuce, crunchy pickles and sauce in a sesame seed and poppy seed bun. Little posed with McDonald's staff and sat at a table with his burger on a tray with fries and a drink. 'We heard that it was an advert and that he may have signed some sort of deal with McDonald's,' an onlooker told The Sun. 'There were extras who cheered when he walked in the door and they closed the place down for three or four hours while they were shooting. 'They had a close protection security guy there with him too. There was just one camera crew there and security made sure no one had phones inside.' Littler made headlines in December 2023 when he had just burst on the scene when he swapped his traditionally favourite takeaway - a kebab - for a Maccies. Aged just 16 at the time, Littler was known for celebrating his darts wins with a kebab, but swapped it up after reaching the last 16 of the competition. He said: 'I did say to the fans, "do you want to see me getting a kebab?" 'But I just thought, "Nah, McDonald's".' The event took place just two days before the 18-year-old crashed out of the World Cup of Darts at the first hurdle, when he struggled alongside Luke Humphries. The duo, ranked No 1 and No 2 in the world and the last two world champions, were heavy favourites to win England the crown for the second year after Humphries had won it alongside Michael Smith in 2024. They, though, came up short against home nation Germany, which saw Littler receive a barrage of abuse from the crowd after previously criticising the sport in the country.

Scarlett Johansson greets her co-stars with a sweet kiss as she mingles with stars at Jurassic World Rebirth world premiere in London
Scarlett Johansson greeted all her co-stars with a sweet kiss on Tuesday as she led the red carpet arrivals at the Jurassic World Rebirth world premiere in London. The actress, 40, who stars as Zora Bennett in the upcoming science fiction movie, looked incredible in an elegant sequinned gown as she embraced her co-star Jonathan Bailey, 37, before giving him a quick peck. The pair looked overjoyed to see each other as they chatted away before posing on the blue carpet together. Rupert Friend, who stars as Martin Krebs, also attended the premiere and gave Scarlett a sweet hug and peck on the cheek upon her arrival. The British actor, 43, cut a dapper figure in a black suit, which he teamed with a peach satin shirt. Meanwhile, Moonlight star Mahershala Ali, 51, smiled as Scarlett greeted him with a sweet hug. The American actor looked incredibly suave in a three-piece khaki green floral embroidered suit as he joined his co-stars ahead of the premiere. The new science fiction action movie, which follows Jurassic World Dominion (2022), is the seventh film in the Jurassic Park franchise and stars a new ensemble cast, with Scarlett in the lead role. On a top-secret mission, the characters fight for their lives in a battle against much larger and dangerous foes. The stunning Marvel star — who previously admitted it was her 'childhood dream' to star in a Jurassic Park movie — leads the charge as she protects her teammates on their life-threatening mission to obtain the DNA of the most ferocious beasts at the site of the now-destroyed research facility for the original Jurassic Park. The movie is set half a decade after the 2022 film Jurassic World Dominion, which starred Bryce Dallas Howard alongside Chris Pratt, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill, among many other notable actors in the all-star cast. The synopsis of the movie reads: 'Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. 'Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived,' the summary continues. Last year, Scarlett told that the 'script is so incredible' and gushed about how David Koepp wrote it. The pair looked overjoyed to see each other as they chatted away before posing on the blue carpet together 'He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He's so passionate about it, which is so awesome,' she raved. 'I'm such an enormous fan of the franchise and a huge nerd for it. I'm just like, I can't even, I'm pinching myself. Scarlett added. 'I've been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years.' Steven Spielberg is back as executive producer on the project, which is a joint-venture production between Amblin Entertainment and Universal. Principal photography began in mid-June in Thailand and went on for about a month until the production moved to Kalkara in the island country of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea, located in Southern Europe for another month. From there, the shoot went to Sky Studios Elstree in London, England in August for another round before moving on in late September to New York City. Jurassic World Rebirth is scheduled to hit theatres in the UK and the US on July 2, 2025.
