Pahalgam terror attack: Two locals who visited Pakistan suspected to be among terrorists involved in killing 26 people
Two local Kashmiri men are suspected to be among the six terrorists who opened indiscriminate fire at tourists in Pahalgam on Tuesday, killing 26 and injuring several others, a Hindu report said.
The two local men have been identified as Adil Guri of Anantnag and Ahsan from Pulwama district in south Kashmir. The report also said that both of them had visited Pakistan in 2018.
'The two infiltrated recently with three to four other Pakistani men. We had certain inputs about their movement,' the Hindu report said, quoting a government source.
Security agencies have released sketches of three men suspected to be involved in the gruesome attack. The trio, identified as Pakistanis, are Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah and Abu Talha, officials said.
The sketches were prepared with the help of the survivors' description of the attackers, they said. The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow outfit of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Singh was produced before the local court in Mohali on Saturday after his three-day police remand ended. A senior police official said Singh had met the Lahore-based Nasir Dhillon on three trips to Pakistan after they connected as fellow vloggers. Police are investigating the role of Dhillon and his potential links to Pakistani intelligence. He reportedly helped facilitate Singh's visa and visits. Police officials suspect that Singh might have deleted sensitive data from his mobile phone before his arrest. A forensic examination of the device is underway to recover any communications with Pakistani handlers. Singh's ties with other suspected operatives Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and Shakir 'Jutt Randhawa', a Pakistani intelligence officer, are also being investigated.

Deep fake video mimicking Owaisi promises ₹53,000 per day; Hyderabad MP lodges complaint
All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has filed a formal complaint with the Hyderabad Cyber Crime police after a deep fake video — falsely depicted him as promoting a fraudulent investment scheme — surfaced online. In the doctored footage, Mr. Owaisi was made to appear as though he is speaking in English, endorsing an online platform that allegedly offered a daily income of ₹53,000. In his complaint, Mr. Owaisi stated that the video had been deliberately created and circulated to mislead the public and misuse his identity for fraudulent gain. He warned that such content not only endangers individuals by promoting scams but also causes reputational damage to those impersonated. Calling for swift action, the MP urged police to ensure the video is taken down across all social media platforms, trace its source, and issue a public advisory to prevent others from falling prey to similar scams. Following his complaint, a case was registered at the Cyber Crime police station under relevant sections of the IT Act, including 66C (identity theft), 66D (cheating by personation), and 66E (violation of privacy). Charges were also invoked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for personation, forgery, and defamation.
