Footy commentator Yvonne Sampson's baby joy is revealed - and it means big changes for some familiar faces on TV

Fox Sports NRL presenter Yvonne Sampson and her former Channel Nine star husband Chris O'Keefe have revealed they are thrilled to be expecting their second child. The couple, who proud parents to two-year-old son Henry, had tried to keep the happy news under wraps until now. 'Vonny, Henry and I are expecting another little addition,' O'Keefe told News Corp. 'Henry's about to be promoted to big brother and we're absolutely thrilled. 'Chaos incoming.' O'Keefe explained that some of Sampson's colleagues suspected something was going on during NRL 's season-opening matches in Las Vegas. The popular footy TV host has tried to keep the exciting news a secret 'Let's just say when Vonny locked herself in her hotel room in Vegas for round one, a few of her colleagues started to suspect something was up,' he said. 'But we managed to keep it quiet, it's important to us to keep our private life, private. 'She's an extraordinary mum. She is not just the heart of our home, but the brains, legs, arms and everything else too. 'I'm honestly just trying to keep up. Henry absolutely adores Vonny, watching them together fills me with so much happiness.' O'Keefe is a Dragons diehard and has confirmed that the new arrival will follow suit. 'Henry had his Red V membership before he had a Medicare card, this will be no different,' he said. 'It's important they build some character through long stretches of extreme disappointment.' The couple announced their engagement in 2017 and got married in 2018. The couple had been dating for more than three years after first meeting in the Channel Nine Brisbane newsroom (where the pair were both working at the time). With Sampson taking time off for the birth of her child, Fox Sports are planning to overhaul their roster. Braith Anasta, host of NRL 360, will shift from Sunday Ticket to host the Super Saturday show.

Roy Keane is not having Thierry Henry's opinion on the 'best ever' in position

Thierry Henry has dubbed former Arsenal team-mate Ashley Cole the best left-back he's ever seen, but Manchester United icon Roy Keane disagrees with that sentiment Manchester United legend Roy Keane scoffed at Thierry Henry's claim that former Arsenal and Chelsea man Ashley Cole is the best left-back he has seen. Henry insisted that the ex-England defender doesn't get the credit he deserves on the back of his unceremonious move to Stamford Bridge. Hale End graduate Cole began his Gunners career in 1999 when he made his full debut, and would go on to establish himself under Arsene Wenger as one of the Premier League's finest full-backs. The Englishman won two league titles in north London as well as three FA Cup trophies, and was pivotal in the club's famous 2003/04 Invincibles campaign. ‌ While Cole, who played over 200 times for Arsenal, saw his Gunners legacy somewhat tarnished in 2006 when he joined bitter rivals Chelsea in an acrimonious switch, Henry believes he still doesn't get the recognition he deserves as one of English football's finest ever left-backs. Though Red Devils legend Keane slightly disagrees. ‌ "There is a guy that I want to talk about, who I don't understand why in this country he doesn't get his respect: Ashley Cole," Henry stated on the Stick to Football podcast. "Ashley Cole was outstanding. "Firstly, in 2000, Ashley went to Crystal Palace on loan, and he saved them from relegation, playing as a winger. When you have a left-back that can dribble past their winger, he was the one who created space for the rest of the team at Arsenal. He started everything. "For me, Ashley Cole is the best left-back I have ever seen. Me. I'm not talking about everybody. Ashley Cole… Going forward, defending, the desire, what he won and why he won it." While Henry sang the praises of his former team-mate, who he played alongside a staggering 195 times in the red of Arsenal, Keane then chimed in. "I think he was a brilliant player, but when you talk about great left-backs, he doesn't spring to my mind," quipped Keane. "Of course, he was a brilliant player." Henry rebuked Keane's claim and went on to discuss Cole's controversial and bad-blooded move from the north of London to the west, explaining he feels it is why the left-back isn't quite held in the regard he deserves. He continued: "Ashley Cole is an Arsenal man. ‌ "His whole family supports Arsenal. But I can understand why he left at the time. In 2005, David Dein shook hands on a deal, but he came back with something else. "With Ashley moving to Chelsea, people don't give him the respect he deserves for everything that he has done. But for me, Cole was outstanding." ‌ Former Arsenal vice-chairman Dein oversaw plenty of successes during his 24 years in the role, but he previously admitted that letting the left-back leave was one of his biggest regrets before stepping down in 2007. Cole was offered a hefty pay rise by Stamford Bridge chiefs and he went on to enjoy a fruitful eight-year spell with the club, winning one league title, a Champions League, Europa League, League Cup, Community Shield and four FA Cups. He's considered very much in the debate of the greatest left-backs of all time alongside the likes of Roberto Carlos, Marcelo and Paolo Maldini.

'I was a child star in ET and after the film my life was never normal again'

Henry Thomas, now 53, shot to fame at the age of 10 when he was cast as Elliot in Steven Spielberg's iconic 1982 film For countless admirers of all ages, Henry Thomas will forever be remembered as the endearing boy cycling across the moonlit sky with an extraterrestrial friend in tow in the classic 1982 film E. T. At a mere 10 years old, little did Henry Thomas know that his role as Elliot in Steven Spielberg's masterpiece would catapult him into international stardom. However, the fame brought about by this legendary role didn't just propel him towards a career in showbiz; it overshadowed much of his life, making normalcy a thing of the past. Born in San Antonio, Texas in 1971, Henry entered the scene of E. T. with minimal acting credits, just one feature film under his belt, which was unlike his co-star Drew Barrymore who had already built a foundation in Hollywood. ‌ ‌ But it was Henry's remarkable audition that secured his casting, reports the Mirror US. That fateful audition tape, now released to the public, captures a moment when the casting director told the young Henry: "They've come with a search warrant and they want to take the creature away." Instantly, Henry tapped into a deep well of emotion, tears streaming down his face as he implored, "You can't take him away, he's mine, I don't care what the president says, he's my best friend and you can't take him away." His moving display not only stirred emotions among those present but also led to the pivotal instance when Steven Spielberg's unmistakable voice was heard stating, "OK kid, you got the job." The movie swiftly escalated to blockbuster status, becoming one of the highest grossing films of the decade, smashing box office records and garnering nine Oscar nominations along the way. Yet, for Henry, the actor who brought Elliot to life, fame was an uncharted terrain that transformed him indelibly. At a tender age when the grasp on celebrity was tenuous at best, he accepted the role without foreknowledge of its repercussions. Speaking with The Guardian, Henry disclosed: "It was a total unexpected side-effect of doing this fun thing I had wanted to do." He continued to express his naivete at the profound shift in his personal life, saying, "I had no clue that my life would change in any way. I worked on this movie, then I'm back on the farm, I'm back at school – but now people are pointing at me in the street." Hailing from an ordinary backdrop, neither Henry nor his family foresaw or were prepared for the ensuing chaos fame would bring. He elaborated: "My whole family wasn't really well equipped to deal with anything like that. ‌ "And other than a few precautions, we didn't change our lives that much." The sudden attention drew eccentric visitors and led to intrusive phone calls, prompting the need for sporadic police intervention, as Henry recounted: "Consequently, we got a lot of weird visitors to our residence and things like that, phone calls. "We had to call the authorities a few times." While E. T. secured Henry's place in cinematic history, he has sustained a prominent presence in Hollywood, taking roles in major hits including Legends of the Fall, Gangs of New York, and Suicide Kings. Lately, it's his more recent performances that have caught the public eye, introducing him to a new league of admirers unaware of his iconic part in E.T. The actor formed a professional relationship with director Mike Flanagan, renowned for his horror films including The Shining sequel Dr Sleep, Gerald's Game and Ouija: Origin of Evil - all of which have featured Thomas.
