Orlando Bloom's Ex Miranda Kerr Shows Support for His Ex Katy Perry—Inside His History With Them
Actor Orlando Bloom was the heartthrob of the early 2000s, appearing in two of the most iconic and swashbuckling action and fantasy franchises ever: Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean. The star continued to have a rich career of vivid roles, but because of his early career stronghold on the box office, fans have always been interested in his dating life.
'I'm completely in love with the idea of love,' Bloom told ELLE in a 2013 interview. 'But I really believe in, you know, that sort of heart-to-heart connection.'
Despite being linked to many women, Bloom seems to be a bit of a serial monogamist. He's had a number of long-term relationships with other high-profile stars. Most recently, Bloom was engaged to singer Katy Perry, with whom he shares on child. The former couple announced their split in summer 2025, which means Bloom is on the market again.
Here's everything we know about his dating history—and future—so far.
Sienna Miller and Bloom have never discussed their romance, but they dated for four months in 2001, according to the Daily Mail. They then supposedly hooked up again for at least a day at a polo match in 2005.
Bloom dated Blue Crush star Kate Bosworth beginning in 2002, before they ended their relationship in late 2005. They never talked much about their connection, but InStyle stated they met while filming a Gap commercial together just before their respective careers took off.
'I knew Orlando before he was famous at all. So we started dating way, way back in the day. And then it hit when we were together,' Bosworth said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2019.
She added, 'I think when you kind of go through something like that with someone, it's like you feel like that's a real anchor in many ways because it was just crazy. We would land at airports, and he would have, like, girls, like, lifting their shirts up....It was just wild. I mean, if you're just two normal people hanging out, and all of a sudden it just blows up into something really surreal, then you kind of look at the person you're with as a rock in many ways. And I think we felt that way about each other through a crazy time.'
In 2004, Bloom spoke of Bosworth.
'I'm in love with love,' he told a British newspaper, per E!. 'It's heavenly when you're falling for someone and can't stop thinking about her.'
ln January 2006, their reps released a joint statement to People announcing their breakup, saying, 'They did decide to take some time apart due to their upcoming work schedule, and they remain very close. It was a mutual decision.'
In 2011, Bosworth told Vogue, via the Daily Mail, 'Orlando and I met when we were kids. Blue Crush hadn't come out. Lord of the Rings hadn't come out. He was the first big heartbreak. First love—you feel like it's the be-all and end-all. To put as little pressure on the relationship you're in is very important. I regret that it was too intense for both of us.'
They seem to have remained friends and even posed for photos as recently as 2015.
In 2007, E! shared a rumor that Bloom dated actress Penélope Cruz after they were spotted together at his 30th birthday party. An eyewitness told the publication, 'He couldn't keep his hands off of her. He would just keep grabbing her and kissing her. It was very sweet.'
Nothing more was reported about it, but they seemed to still be friendly in 2014.
Bloom entered a serious relationship with Miranda Kerr in 2007, though they supposedly had known one another for some time. Kerr said he had tried to ask her out before, but she had always said no.
'At the time, I was seeing someone else,' she explained to Hello! per People.
They got engaged in June 2010 and were married a month later. In August that year, Kerr announced she was pregnant. Their son, Flynn, arrived in January 2011.
The relationship ended in late 2013. Bloom and Kerr shared a statement that October reading, 'Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support, and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.'
In November, he told the Irish Independent, 'We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives. There's no question for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.'
In 2020, Kerr told NET-A-PORTER's The Edit, 'It was the right thing to do. We weren't bringing out the best in each other. There's no hostility there, we'll always be friends.'
In her podcast Moments, Kerr shared that later on, she and Katy Perry became friends through co-parenting.
'We go on holidays together; we celebrate all the important milestones. I mean I love her. It would be safe to say I love her more than Flynn's dad,' Kerr said. '[Perry] helps me deal with him because she can deal with him, and I'm so grateful that she's there because it just takes the pressure off me.'
After Perry and Bloom's breakup, Kerr showed support for Perry in July by posting a photo of herself attending the singer's Lifetimes Tour along with a video of Perry performing.
There was a very brief rumor in spring 2016 that suggested Bloom and Gomez hooked up while he was split up from Katy Perry after he and Gomez were seen together at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Perry herself commented on the rumors, calling them 'conspiracy theories,' and Gomez retweeted her.
In 2017, Bloom was briefly linked Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev. At the time, a source People, 'It's super casual.'
It seems like things fizzled out without any comment from either party.
Bloom got serious again with pop star Katy Perry, but only after about a year of dating off and on through 2016 to 2017. They reportedly first linked up at a 2016 Golden Globes party, where a photographer seemed to catch the first flirtatious moments.
They then split up in February 2017 and released a joint statement to People, saying, 'Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.'
A month later, Perry seemed to comment on the public's opinions of her relationship with Bloom, writing, 'HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017 U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!'
In early 2018, the couple reconciled. A source told People in March that year, 'They are dating but not necessarily putting a label on it. They are not girlfriend and boyfriend. They do seem very happy together though.'
Two years later, they did put a label on it: engaged. Bloom proposed to Perry on Valentine's Day in 2019, and Perry shared a photo of her engagement ring with the caption, 'full bloom.'
In March 2020, the couple announced they were expecting a child and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, in August.
In 2024, Perry shared some of her thoughts on why they took time to make things work during her Call Her Daddy interview. She said, 'We weren't really in it from day one. He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can't do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond, but I had to do a lot real work.'
She added of her mentality versus his, 'He wasn't playing that cat-mouse game anymore. I was like, 'This is boring. I'm moving on.' I was so used to this push-pull....I was playing games.'
In mid-2025, rumors started circulating that they were splitting up again. Their last public appearance together was in March 2025 at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
In June, a source told Us Weekly, 'Katy and Orlando have split, but are amicable. It's not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.'
The insider added that they had been living apart since Perry went on tour and that the breakup was 'a long time coming' because things 'have been tense for months.'
They confirmed the end of their relationship on July 3 with a statement shared from their reps to People, reading:

Moonlight Madness Bringing Sidewalk Sales, Music & Family Fun to Main Street
● Moonlight Madness runs Thursday, Aug. 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Main Street. ● The free event includes sidewalk sales, family activities, and live performances, all organized by the Village of Stouffville Advisory Committee. ● VSAC will also feature its 'I Heart Main Street' campaign to promote community pride and support for local businesses. ● The evening coincides with the Town's Patio Series concert featuring The British Invasion, taking place at 7:30 p.m. in Civic Square. ● Local restaurants will be offering food and drink specials inside. ● Children's entertainment includes balloon and caricature artists, face painting, and stilt walkers. ● Main Street will remain open to vehicle traffic. Stouffville residents are invited to support local businesses and rediscover the downtown during Moonlight Madness, a community celebration returning Thursday, Aug. 14. Running from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the event will take over Main Street between Albert and Pine streets, showcasing local shops, restaurants, and artisans alongside live music and family-friendly activities. Organized by the Village of Stouffville Advisory Committee (VSAC), the evening is free to attend and open to all ages. It is funded entirely through the Main Street special tax levy, which is paid exclusively by Village businesses. Sidewalk sales will line the street, with Village merchants and Stouffville-area artists offering everything from handmade goods to local services. VSAC has also planned free entertainment for children, including balloon and caricature artists, face painting, and stilt walkers. 'We're trying to keep it as Stouffville centric as possible, and we want to make sure that businesses within the Village area have priority to put out whatever they wish to display,' said Madison Kennedy, a Town Economic Development and Tourism Officer who works alongside VSAC. 'While some businesses may not think they are a good fit for the event, they have offered space in front of their building to have a local artisan come and display their artwork.' For Redefined Finds owner and VSAC member Alison Jackson, Moonlight Madness is a fun and effective way for residents to support downtown Stouffville. 'Supporting and promoting local helps the community to continue to provide services, shops, and restaurants right here in town,' Jackson said in comments to Bullet Point News. 'The more people that support and shop local, the more vibrant the town will be.' VSAC will also feature its 'I Heart Main Street' campaign throughout the evening, distributing custom stickers to promote community pride and shopping local. The event also coincides with the Town's ongoing Patio Series , which will feature a free outdoor concert by The British Invasion at Civic Square beginning at 7:30 p.m. The group performs classic British hits, primarily from the 1960s, and seating is first come, first served. 'We want Moonlight Madness to bring a festival vibe to Main Street,' Kennedy said. 'This is sort of a pilot to see if the sidewalk sale can work well with the Patio Series, and whether it can bring more people down and encourage them to shop.' Additional live performances are planned throughout the downtown, including sets by local musicians at Moto Cafe and the Fickle Pickle. Several Main Street restaurants will offer exclusive food and drink specials inside their establishments. While some may set up outdoor displays, no external food vendors will be on-site. 'We didn't want to create any competition for downtown restaurants,' Kennedy told us. 'VSAC wants it to be a way to support each other, and have the community support Village businesses together.' 'We are so excited to welcome back Moonlight Madness,' Jackson said. 'The street comes alive with energy, and it brings the community together for an opportunity to showcase downtown merchants, restaurants, and all that there is to offer in the Village. 'Redefined Finds is going to be 10 years old in February due to the continued support of the local community,' she added. 'We thrive on this type of activity in Stouffville.' Error! Jenna Ortega's 'Wednesday'-Inspired Sheer Corset Look Brings Back Vampy Glamour
THE RUNDOWN Though archive and easter-egg dressing continues to be all the rage, Jenna Ortega is playing things a little more subtle on her Wednesday season 2 press tour. There are plenty of ways to literally interpret the title character of the series—the iconic pigtail braids and collared black babydoll dresses being obvious options. Instead, Ortega's recent looks have felt like a natural extension of her own edgier aesthetic as she quickly establishes a signature red carpet style. On July 31, the 22-year-old actress stepped out for the opening of Le Beach Club de Mercredi (Wednesday's Beach Club) in Paris in a dress from the fall 2025 Vivienne Westwood by Andreas Kronthaler collection. Ortega paired the look with a striking pavé cross necklace by Loree Rodkin. The club is a month-long activation on the Seine dedicated to season 2 of the hit Netflix show. Though not on the sandy beaches of the south of France, the club takes advantage of the cityscape, channeling Tim Burton-inspired gothic elements. Ortega's bold vampy glamour and bleached eyebrows were a perfect fit as the actress was photographed in an ominous sea of fog, The look was styled by her longtime collaborator, Enrique Melendez, who has done an expert job putting together a press tour wardrobe that is on theme but innovative. Earlier in the week for the London premiere, Ortega wore a couture snakeskin latex gown from Ashi Studio, again paired with a dark lip. For the show's London photo-call, Melendez placed the actress in a bold-shouldered bralette look from Givenchy by Sarah Burton. The sleeves were reminiscent of Wednesday's iconic original look, although the sculptural construction prevented it from feeling too literal. Givenchy has been a quiet hero on the red carpet lately, with Elle Fanning (who debuted Burton's Givenchy at the 2025 Oscars) and Vanessa Kirby wearing standout looks. Time will tell whether Melendez pulls from the house again—and there will be opportunity. Ortega's press tour hasn't even hit the U.S. yet and is only for the first part of Wednesday season 2, which comes out on August 6.
