Snoop Dogg reveals new plans for Glasgow's Celtic Park
The 53-year-old hip-hop icon and longtime Celtic supporter said he wants to challenge the reputation of underwhelming stadium food by bringing high-quality burgers to the stands.
In an interview with the Sunday Mail, he said: 'There has always been the opinion that food at sports stadiums is never good, but that ain't got to be the case.
'People know that Snoop is a cook, and I would love to bring a pop-up burger to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good.
'It's got to be Celtic Park, man, I mean, where else am I going to bring it?"

Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, described the secret to a great burger as being all in the preparation.
He said: 'The secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation.
"The ground beef has got to be mixed with some secret spices, then add a good quality cheese and some maple-cured bacon.
'The Celtic fans are gonna love it, and to make sure they are just right, Snoop is going to be serving them himself.'
A self-confessed foodie, Snoop has appeared on numerous cooking shows alongside Martha Stewart and even authored a best-selling cookbook titled From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen.
He's now set his sights on Scotland, revealing he hopes to open a restaurant in Glasgow with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
The rap icon revealed: 'I have told him I want to open a restaurant with him, and maybe it might even be in Glasgow.
'For real – we are always swapping cooking tips, and I do mean swapping.
'It's not just one-way traffic, I send him tips as well – he respects Snoop as a chef."

However, the California rapper has no plans to take the burger venture across the city to Celtic's rivals.
When asked whether he'd consider bringing his burgers to Ibrox, Snoop replied: 'Am I going to bring my burgers to Rangers as well? Nah, I think we will give that a miss!'
Celtic Park is already known for embracing bold flavours and street food innovation.
In 2023, Smokey Trotters Kitchen, a popular Glasgow eatery from the Barras Market, served up Katsu Fries—chips topped with salt and chilli chicken, cheese, curry sauce, crispy onions, and coriander.
Dishes like Scheme Poutine, loaded with haggis, cheese, crispy onions and peppercorn sauce, have also become fan favourites.
Snoop, who last performed in Glasgow in 2023, has been a vocal supporter of Celtic since their run to the 2003 UEFA Cup Final, and this latest venture deepens his connection to the club and its fans.

Snoop Dogg shares plan to open a burger van outside major British football club
Snoop Dogg said he would like to bring a pop-up burger to Celtic Park as he believes football fans would love it - and he even shared his perfect recipe for a good burger Snoop Dogg has revealed he hopes to open a burger van at Celtic Park – and said he would like to serve fans himself. The West Coast rapper has previously spoken of investing in the Glasgow football club, similar to Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds ' involvement with Wrexham FC. Snoop Dogg, 53, has already published a cookbook and claims to have spoken to chef Gordon Ramsay about a possible venture in Glasgow together – but he has now revealed he wants to set up a fast-food van at Celtic's stadium in the city's east end. He has described Celtic supporters as "special" and the best fans in European football, and said he identifies strongly with the club's mascot Hoopy the Hound – describing it in a previous interview as a "match made in heaven". The keen sports fan worked as a correspondent for NBC at the Paris Olympics last year, has launched two youth football leagues, and has been a vocal advocate for pay equality for female athletes. He told the Sunday Mail that Celtic fans would support the burger van and that it would become a foodie "Paradise" – the nickname give to Celtic Park. He said: "I would love to bring a pop-up burger (van) to a sports stadium to show fans that food at stadiums can be good. "It's got to be Celtic Park, man. The secret to a good burger is the love in the preparation. The ground beef has got to be mixed with some secret spices, then add a good quality cheese and some maple-cured bacon. "The Celtic fans are gonna love it, and to make sure they are just right, Snoop is going to be serving them himself." But he said he would not be taking his culinary ventures to Celtic's Old Firm rivals at Ibrox. Snoop told the Sunday Mail: "Am I going to bring my burgers to Rangers as well? Nah, I think we will give that a miss." The confession comes after the rapper offered to swoop in and heal the rift between estranged brothers Prince William and Prince Harry. Earlier this year, the rapper, whose links to theroyals go back years, as he was asked to perform at William's stag party, said he'd be more than happy to act as peacemaker between the estranged pair. "Harry and William, I have known for a long time now," he said. "Harry asked me to perform at William's bachelor party but I couldn't make it. Anything they want to perform at now, I am there. They are brothers, man. Anything that gets them in the same room and being brothers again will be worth it. Life is too short to not make things right, and if Snoop can help heal that relationship, then let's do it." The Drop It Like It's Hot star also opened up about his friendship with David Beckham, which dates back over 30 years, calling him his "brother" - and he said "Uncle Snoop" will always be there for his kids Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, too."You know in this industry you get a lot of acquaintances, but real long-lasting friendship is a rare thing for real," he began. "We have been friends for over 25 years, he isn't a friend to me anymore he is a brother to me. From the first time we met we had a good connection, and our friendship just went from there. It kind of helps we both love sport, food, and music, but as the years went on our friendship became deeper."

Neil Lennon reveals Jeremie Frimpong and current Celtic star used to inspire Dunfermline youngsters
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) NEIL LENNON'S footballing philosophy has always been if a kid's good enough he's not going to be ignored. It's a principle the Northern Irishman will adhere to in his new job as Dunfermline manager. Both were blooded at first-team level by Lennon and have gone on to enjoy stellar careers. Homegrown winger Forrest scored on his Celtic debut as a sub against Motherwell in 2010 and has since, become the club's most decorated player, edging ahead of Bobby Lennox this season with 26 trophies. Dutch full-back Frimpong arrived from Manchester City for just £350,000 in September 2019 and was quickly thrown in against Falkirk in a League Cup tie. Within just 16 months he was on the move to German side Bayer Leverkusen for £11.5million plus a major sell-on percentage that has recently earned Celts a further £5m following his £30m switch to English champions Liverpool. Lennon said: 'You can say to the young players, 'this is what you can achieve if you really put your mind to it and look after yourself and protect your talent'. 'Young players here, if they're good enough they're in and I've already been impressed with a few of them.' Lennon reckons his young Pars can have no better role model than Forrest, who has scored in each of his 16 seasons as a Celt. He said: 'I'm so proud of Jamesy. Wonderful, you couldn't write a better story than when he got the last-minute goal against St Mirren in the final league game. 'What a player. He was like that when he was 18. He's so humble. He's never changed. Unseen moment Celtic icons congratulate current stars on way up to collect the Scottish Cup after big win over Rangers 'He shies away from all the spotlight and he just gets on with his football. 'He's one of the most exciting players Celtic have ever had, really. 'Jamesy would drive at you from the left, he'd drive at you from the right. He's a great finisher. 'He had his ups and downs with injuries, but if you talk to every player or every manager who's worked with him, he's just been a joy to work with. 'I managed him twice and he always delivered. 'I loved him. I loved watching him play because he was different. 'He wanted to take people on. That was his remit when he was younger. I said, 'I want you to run at people'. He was brilliant at it. He was a really good finisher as well. 'I'm delighted for him, he's had a mega career. 'It's incredible what he has achieved and you wouldn't know it because he just shrugs his shoulders and wants to get the next one! 'But the consistency he had and the talent and he's not lost that change of pace, either. He can do you from a standing position. 'His finishing has always been top class with both feet. 'I'll try and get him here. I'll have a chat! 5 Lennon also talked up Celtic's most decorated player James Forrest Credit: SNS 'You get a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing players come through like that. 'Jeremie's another one. He's just gone to Liverpool. I get a lot of satisfaction from that as well, having worked with him for a couple of seasons. 'And what an impact he had for us at Celtic. 'Then he's gone on to do amazing things in Germany to the point where he's now signing for the Premier League champions. You get a buzz out of that. 'I couldn't keep Jeremie out, he was that good. 'We had good players at the club at the time, but once we saw him training, he was just taking our breath away.' Lennon is thrilled to be back in pressure-cooker management with the Pars, no matter the pleasure of being paid handsomely to talk about elite football. At one point during last season's Champions League coverage, he revelled in a TV analyst stint alongside legend Clarence Seedorf and mentor Martin O'Neill. The trio made for brilliant, entertaining punditry and the no-nonsense Lennon is perfectly at home in that company. However, he feels he's at his best in the heat of a touchline gig. He said: 'I like the stimulation. Don't get me wrong, I loved the punditry work, the European stuff, the Scottish stuff and all the work I did in Ireland as well. 5 Frimpong and Forrest celebrate a goal against Ross County in 2019 Credit: Kenny Ramsay - The Sun Glasgow 'But my reason to be is coaching and I like winning things. 'That is what I want to bring to Dunfermline. It's a big club, it's a privilege to be the manager. 'I think the Championship is the most competitive league. 'If you look at the other divisions, they had runaway winners. 'But there wasn't that much between a lot of the teams in the Championship, just that little bit of extra quality at times. 'There was no real consistency in results. Teams would win 3-0 and it just shows you the level of competition in the league. 'What you want to find is a level of consistency, I think that is the key in this league. 'The two teams who went up, Falkirk and Livingston, had that in the end. 'We are building something here and it will take a bit of time to find the key components we want from the team. 'It's not set in stone that we have to get promotion next season, but we want to be up and around it for the foreseeable future.' Former Celtic loan star Daniel Arzani breaks silence amid Hearts transfer interest and reveals World Cup hopes
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) DANIEL Arzani has spoken out about his future as the out-of-contract winger has been talked up for a Hearts move. Reports have linked the former Celtic kid to Derek McInnes' Tynecastle side as his time at Melbourne Victory looks to be coming to an end. 3 Australian international Daniel Arzani has been linked with Hearts Credit: Getty 3 He's out of contract at Melbourne Victory Credit: Getty 3 He tore his ACL in the first game of his ill-fated Celtic spell Credit: Kenny Ramsay - The Sun Glasgow And the Australian international has discussed how the upcoming 2026 World Cup is a massive factor in any decision he might make. The Socceroos play Saudi Arabia on Tuesday with a win or draw enough to guarantee a place at next year's tournament. With that in mind, the 26-year-old is already casting his eye towards making his mark on the world stage with a place in the squad. He said: 'I think anyone now, any of the boys looking to move or off contract, that thought process will be in their head. 'It's a big deal, a World Cup, it's massive - everyone wants to be a part of it. 'It is going to be really competitive and we have a lot of talent coming out of Australia as well. 'I think it is definitely important that if I go somewhere that I'll be playing week in, week out. 'I'm not sure what I am doing yet, what direction I am heading in but that's definitely part of the equation." Arzani's previous spell in Scotland was ruined by injury not long after he made the move to Parkhead. In August 2018 he moved to Manchester City from Melbourne City, who share an ownership group. Kieran Tierney appears to lose £1,000 in video posted by Celtic's Daniel Arzani He was quickly loaned to Brendan Rodgers' side on a two-year deal, but tore his ACL on his debut against Dundee and went on to make just one more appearance in green and white. Thereafter he was loaned to Utrecht, AGF, and Lommel for short and quiet spells before permanently returning to his homeland where he has enjoyed better fortunes. The Jambos already have a number of new players joining up this summer. Christian Borchgrevink, captain of Norwegian side Valerenga, put pen to paper as early as April. Former Morton player Oisin McIntee will be making the switch from Walsall. And Greek winger Alexandros Kyziridis will be arriving off the back of a 13-goal season in Slovakia.
