Police in Whitstable take action against anti-social behaviour

Arson investigation launched after fire at former school in Hythe
Police are investigating a blaze at a derelict school in Hythe as suspected fire at the former Foxwood School on Seabrook Road was thought to have been started between 19:00 BST and 22:00 on from Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) remained at the scene until 15:00 on Friday, with nine fire engines and a height injuries were reported by KFRS and the cause of the fire is not yet known. Weekend dispersal order in place for Faversham
A dispersal order is being put in place in a Kent town following concerns from residents about the anti-social use of vehicles, police have enforcement will begin at 16:00 BST on Friday and will run until 16:00 on Sunday. It will cover areas including London Road, Western Link, Oare Road, Bysing Wood Road and Davington Hill, and will also cover open spaces, alleyways, footpaths and grassed enforcements were put in place in June and July in Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate due to fighting and anti-social behaviour. The order gives officers additional powers to move on anyone causing a nuisance and, if necessary, arrest those who subsequently return to the or motorbikes used in an anti-social or dangerous manner will be seized, police said. Ch Insp Vanessa Foster, of Kent Police, said: "We are committed to ensuring residents and visitors feel safe when out and about, and we will not tolerate intimidating or disorderly behaviour."Officers will be patrolling the area and anyone found causing a nuisance will be required to leave. "Any that chooses to return once dispersed can expect to be detained."
