Media personality Minnie Dlamini and podcaster MacGyver 'MacG' Mukwevho have been embroiled in a two-week drama following crude remarks made by Mukwevho about Dlamini.
Since then, netizens made online allegations, accusing Dlamini of also making remarks about the 'Podcast and Chill' host by referring to him as a rapist and making degrading remarks about her ex-boyfriend, Itumeleng Khune.
Dlamini addressed the allegations on X (formerly Twitter), clarifying the situation.
'I did not call anyone a rapist nor did I speak about Khune's private parts. Stop spreading lies to justify nonsense,' she wrote.
This comes after the presenter was attacked on social media for revealing that she will be taking the legal route to deal with the derogatory comment made by MacG.
The controversy began when MacG commented that the reason for Dlamini's split with ex-boyfriend Dr Brian Monaisa might be due to Dlamini's hygiene.
Additionally, he said that there has got to be something wrong with Dlamini because she 'can't keep a man' and added that 'maybe her coochie smells'.
The 34-year-old TV producer and actress has since broken her silence on the matter, revealing in a lengthy statement that she will be taking legal action against the 'Podcast and Chill' host despite him apologising through his attorneys.
In her statement, Dlamini explained how she had watched in disbelief and pain as her name, body, and dignity had been dragged through the mud of public discourse, triggered by the vile, humiliating, and inexcusable comments made by MacG.
She further said that it was a little too late for the apology as the damage had already been done.
'I have received an apology from 'Podcast and Chill' via their attorneys. An apology, offered only after the damage is done and reputations are on the line, is not a meaningful act of accountability, especially when it comes from a platform that has made misogyny part of its brand.'
MacG has also extended an olive branch on the latest episode of his podcast show, inviting Dlamini herself, saying she is more than welcome to be a guest on the show so they can 'squash it' once and for all.
'This thing started on the podcast, let's end it on the podcast. She said some things, I've said some things, let's squash it once and for all, bro,' MacG said.
Fans have since flooded the comment section with some rallying behind Dlamini, offering messages of support and some claiming that they can prove that she made the degrading comments against MacG and Khune.
@mellanniin commented: 'We got your back sis, thank you for standing up for yourself and for women who failed to do that for themselves 💞.'
While @Yogetta_ZA said: 'U did, we have evidence Minnie.'

When bromance turns sour: the hilarious digital feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump

The budding bromance between US President Donald Trump and SA-born billionaire Elon Musk is over Image: Graphic/Se-Anne Rall Breakups can be catastrophic, and when they happen on a global stage, they morph from private heartbreaks into public spectacles. Add social media into the mix, and it's a full-blown circus. Such is the case with Elon Musk and Donald Trump, whose relationship has unravelled in a way that's equal parts cringeworthy, comedic, and political chaos. And while most breakups involve a few sharp words, maybe an awkward run-in at the grocery store, this one comes with viral tweets, passive-aggressive barbs, and a nation's economic future hanging in the balance. In true breakup fashion, even the ex got involved. Ashley St. Clair, Musk's former partner and mom to their 9-month-old son Romulus, couldn't resist throwing shade. On June 5, she tweeted, 'Hey @realDonaldTrump, lmk if u need any breakup advice.' Brutal. The feud has turned into a digital slugfest, with both men dredging up old posts to prove their points. Image: screenshot/X Cue the internet to lose its collective mind. One TikTok user dubbed it the "first messy breakup of Pride Month," and another quipped, 'So bad things are happening in America?' Even St. Clair's subtle shade couldn't overshadow the drama unfolding between Musk and Trump, two men who seem hell-bent on proving that the real fireworks of 2025 will be on Twitter or 'X,' as Musk prefers to call it now. The gloves are off. Musk, who was once one of Trump's biggest allies and financial backers, didn't hold back. He blasted Trump's new spending bill, calling it a 'deficit-fueling behemoth' and accusing the president of betraying conservative principles. "Without me, Trump would have lost the election," Musk declared on X, adding, 'Such ingratitude.' Trump, never one to let a perceived slight slide, fired back on his own platform, Truth Social. He claimed Musk's departure wasn't as amicable as it seemed. 'Elon was wearing thin,' Trump wrote, accusing Musk of 'going crazy' after learning the electric vehicle mandate was being cut. Elon: I got Trump elected Trump: I asked Elon to leave and maybe I'll take away his government contracts Elon: Trump is in the Epstein files — Stephen Sanchez (@SSanchezTV) June 5, 2025 The president of the United States of America even brought Musk's beloved EVs into the mix. "I took away his EV mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted," Trump said, painting Musk as a scorned ex who just couldn't let go. Social media is the new battlefield. The feud has turned into a digital slugfest, with both men dredging up old posts to prove their points. Image: screenshot/tiktok Musk reposted Trump's 2013 tweet criticising Republicans for raising the debt ceiling, sarcastically commenting, 'Wise words.' He even questioned whether the current Trump is a 'body double,' wondering what happened to the man who once championed balanced budgets. Trump, on the other hand, accused Musk of changing his position only after his EV interests were threatened, claiming, "Elon knew this bill inside out and had no problem with it until it hit his bottom line." hey @realDonaldTrump lmk if u need any breakup advice — Ashley St. Clair (@stclairashley) June 5, 2025 If their exchanges seem petty, that's because they are. But the stakes are anything but small. Behind the snarky tweets and veiled insults lies a growing divide over America's economic strategy, with Musk railing against what he sees as reckless spending and Trump doubling down on his legislative agenda. Dirty laundry and public spectacles; the public has been eating it up. From TikTok to Twitter, the internet is awash with commentary on the feud. Image: Screenshot/TikTok 'They're airing out their dirty laundry like it's a reality show,' one user joked. But in reality, this isn't just tabloid fodder, it's a messy clash of egos with real political consequences. For now, the fallout continues to unfold in real-time. Musk has made it clear he's not backing down, calling Trump's policies 'a disgusting abomination.' Meanwhile, Trump has hinted that Musk's attacks are only going to escalate, saying, 'I don't know if we will [have a great relationship] anymore.' Africa Day celebration focuses on culture

Acting, singing and dancing were showcased at Tolomane Mnyayiza Youth Development Centre's Africa Day celebration in Boboyi on Monday this week. The assistant director of regional communication of the Government Communication Information System, Khanyiso Seyisi, said the department joined in because the institution focuses on upskilling students, especially the youth. Also, he added the event embraced the culture and the resilience of Africans who are known for their strength. 'We want the youth to walk in the footsteps of our forefathers and to carry our culture and beliefs, and link those with our current lifestyle.' A student at the centre, Nkazimulo Gcaba, said that they had planned a lot of activities. 'We want to showcase our history. Africa Day reminds us and teaches us to appreciate what our leaders fought for.' Another student, Minenhle Mbuyeleni, said that for the youth, the day was enlightening, as it also showed where they come from as Africans. 'It reminds us that we are important. It's also a huge opportunity for the youth because we are exposed to things that we didn't know about.' Mbuyeleni who is studying to be a professional cook said it's her dream job. 'One day, I will open my own restaurant and I will have a story to tell.' Beach vibes and big waves at Tweni 2's

Tweni Beach was abuzz last Saturday. Sunshine and relatively large waves saw surfers from all over KwaZulu-Natal pull in to compete for the cash prizes. It was an action-packed day of surfing with locals and visitors watching the pros bust all the moves to impress judges. Travis Logie and Chad du Toit stole the show and were this year's winners. Live music and DJs saw the party going on until the 'wee hours', with former SA Idols singer Jason Hartman and the band Half Price from Cape Town entertaining the large crowd.
