JD(U) national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad alleged in a statement that the RJD supremo's son and heir apparent Tejashwi Yadav 'likes to harangue Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over morality in politics though he and his family evidently lack scruples'.
Deputy Chief Minister and former state BJP president Samrat Choudhary said in a post on X, 'RJD has established a monarchy with the re-election of Lalu Prasad for the 13th time. Jalandhar: Having lost another byelection, the Congress appears to be showing remarkable consistency in its refusal to learn lessons. There is little hidden about discord within the party's state unit, and knives are being unsheathed, though carefully and in a calibrated manner. However, its problems go beyond factionalism, and the buck does not stop with state leadership, but goes up to its central leadership. The grand-old party has been consistent in not analysing its performance and not holding anybody accountable after big losses. For the last year-and-a-half, Sidhu has been silent on state politics, but Congress remains a house in disorder. As the principal opposition, Congress has not been able to proactively set the agenda or drive the narrative, even as scores of Punjabi activists and netizens, not aligned with any party, have taken up the mantle and have been giving a tough time to the state govt on several issues. Notwithstanding Rahul Gandhi's articulations at the national level, in which he appears to be taking unconventional, strong, and clear ideological positions, the party in Punjab has not been showing any inclination towards reinventing itself, even as the ground situation in the state appears to be providing a favourable ground for that.

The villagers objected to the fact that Katha Vachak Mukut Mani of Etawah had declared himself as Brahmin before organising the Katha whereas he is a Yadav. On this issue, the villagers thrashed Katha Vachak Mukut Mani Yadav and his associate Sant Kumar Yadav, misbehaved with them and cut their hair,' the UP Police said. 'On the basis of the viral video, the local police identified the victim, obtained the complaint from the victim Sant Kumar Yadav and registered a case at Bakewar police station on 23-06-2025 at 15:00 hrs* FIR No. 169/2025 under Section 115(2)/309(2)/351(2)/352 BNSS. On the basis of the viral video, four accused were identified and immediately arrested. Those arrested included Ashish Tiwari, 21, Uttam Awasthi, 19, Pratham Dubey, 24, and Nikki Awasthi, 30, all from Dandarpur village,' the UP Police said in a statement.
