IIT Flyover (Outer Ring Road): Commuters travelling from Mehrauli or Chhattarpur towards New Delhi via Outer Ring Road, Panchsheel Flyover, and August Kranti Marg should use the AIIMS Flyover to reach their destination. Alternatively, drivers can take a left turn from IIT Flyover towards Africa Avenue Road via IIT Gate.
INA Market-Aurobindo Marg/AIIMS Flyover Loop: Travellers from New Delhi towards Mehrauli/Munirka are advised to use Ring Road and August Kranti Marg via AIIMS Flyover loop.
Traffic on Aurobindo Marg from IIT Flyover to AIIMS Loop will be restricted from 2 PM to 6 PM.
Congestion is expected on nearby roads including Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, and August Kranti Marg.
Emergency vehicles like police, ambulances, and fire brigades will be allowed on restricted routes, but advised to avoid them if possible due to delays.
Plan travel in advance and avoid the affected routes between 2 PM and 6 PM.

Delhi police issue traffic advisory in view of Jagannath Rath Yatra
New Delhi [India], June 27 (ANI): The Delhi Police on Friday issued a traffic advisory given the occasion of Jagannath Rath Yatra on Friday. As per the advisory, the traffic movement in Hauz Khas will be diverted or regulated between 2 pm to 6 pm on Aurobindo Marg and its adjoining stretches. According to the advisory, the restricted stretches include the IIT Flyover to AIIMS Loop with possible congestion on the Outer Ring Road, Ring Road and August Kranti Marg. 'In view of the 47th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath on 27.06.2025 (Friday) from 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM in Hauz Khas, traffic movement will be regulated/diverted on Aurobindo Marg and adjoining stretches. Restricted stretches include IIT Flyover to AIIMS Loop, with possible congestion on Outer Ring Road, Ring Road and August Kranti Marg. Kindly follow the advisory and plan your commute accordingly', the advisory read. Earlier today, a large number of devotees gathered at the Jagannath temple in Puri, Odisha, as the grand annual Rath Yatra festival began on Friday morning. People from across the country arrived to witness the grand chariots of the three deities: Lord Jagannath, his brother Lord Balabhadra, and sister goddess Subhadra, at the Gundicha temple, where the deities reside for a week before returning to the Jagannath temple. Traffic in south Delhi likely to be disrupted till evening due to Jagannath Yatra
New Delhi: Vehicle movement in parts of south Delhi, particularly along the Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, Aurobindo Marg, August Kranti Marg, and adjoining routes, is likely to be disrupted until late Friday evening due to the scheduled Lord Jagannath Yatra, which will take place from 2 pm to 6 pm. Commuters heading to airports or railway stations are advised to leave early and use public transport to reduce congestion. (Representative photo) The Delhi traffic police have issued an advisory in view of the religious procession, which will restrict vehicle movement on Aurobindo Marg, stretching from IIT Flyover to AIIMS Loop. Vehicles heading towards MG Road, Mehrauli, or Gurugram will face diversions via Ring Road and August Kranti Marg. Commuters from Mehrauli to New Delhi are advised to take Outer Ring Road and Panchsheel flyover instead. 'Emergency vehicles, including Delhi Police, ambulances for AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital, fire brigade will be allowed free access where restrictions/diversion are imposed, but are advised to avoid Aurobindo Marg if possible,' a statement issued by the traffic police said. According to the traffic police, congestion is expected in these areas and commuters should be mindful about the parking. 'Park only in designated areas. Improperly parked vehicles will be towed and penalised,' the statement added.
