NASCAR at Dover live updates: Lineup, weather forecast, how to watch race
The 1-mile track in Dover, Delaware, marks a return to ovals following a race on the streets of Chicago and road-course race in California wine country at Sonoma Raceway. Both races were won by Shane van Gisbergen – his third victory on a non-oval circuit this season.
The rest of the paddock will welcome the more familiar grind of ovals, although just six active drivers have won at Dover, with Kyle Busch leading with three victories. Denny Hamlin has conquered the Monster Mile twice in the last six years, including last season, while Chase Elliott has also taken the checkered flag twice. But the favorite on Sunday might be Kyle Larson, last year's runner-up and the 2019 winner, who has eight top-five finishes in the past 14 races at Dover.
Sunday's race also marks the penultimate round of the NASCAR in-season challenge, which is down to four drivers: No. 6 seed Ty Gibbs vs. No. 23 seed Tyler Reddick, and No. 12 seed John Hunter Nemechek vs. No. 32 seed Ty Dillon. The two drivers that come out on top of the two head-to-head battles at Dover will compete in the final next week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a $1 million prize on the line.

Who is on the pole for the NASCAR Cup race at Dover?
After Saturday's qualifying was canceled because of inclement weather, Chase Elliott was awarded the pole position via NASCAR rules for setting the lineup without qualifying. NASCAR combines owners' points, a driver's finishing position in the preceding race and his fastest lap time in that race to rank the drivers and deterimine the lineup. This metric placed the Hendrick Motorsports driver in the top spot; Joe Gibbs Racing driver Chase Briscoe will also start on the front row.

The Arizona Cardinals began their second week of training camp this week and early in the week, there was an interesting change. Those in attendance noticed that outside linebacker Zaven Collins was in a different position. He was lined up off the ball at inside linebacker with Mack Wilson. This, of course, would be a very interesting change, as he was drafted originally to play inside linebacker but moved to the edge when Jonathan Gannon became head coach. He also saw snaps at outside linebacker. This led to a question for head coach Jonathan Gannon on Tuesday — what is the plan with Collins? The plan, per Gannon, is to "play outside linebacker and utilize his versatility." So will we see him at both positions? Perhaps, but this isn't anything different than how he has been used over the last two years. Collins will tell you that he hasn't just been at the edge. He has lined up on inside on the defensive line, played off the ball and blitzed from the inside. It just happened to be that on those snaps, he was back where he started. The Cardinals' third-down package on defense, sometimes called their "Nascar" package because it deploys five or six linebackers with either one or no defensive tackle on the field. They all stand up at the line of scrimmage, makinig it difficult for the opposing quarterback to identify who is rushing, who is dropping and where the assignments on defense will be. So while it was surprising in practice to see him in an old spot, we shouldn't expect it much once the regular season begins. NASCAR driver hospitalized in scary dirt track crash: ‘Tremendous amount of pain'
A NASCAR driver was involved in a terrifying dirt track accident in Quebec, Canada, on Monday night and sustained injuries when the dirt-modified car he was driving struck a barrier and flew into the air. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen was taking part in the first night of a Super DIRTcar Series event at Autodrome Drummond when the accident occurred, which left him with an unstable open-book pelvic fracture and a fractured right leg, according to a statement by the driver's wife, Jessica Friesen. Both injuries will require surgery, and Friesen was transferred to a larger hospital on Tuesday morning for the procedures. 3 Stewart Friesen was in a scary crash. Last Lap Insider/X CT scans cleared Friesen of any head, neck or spine injuries, though 'he is still in a tremendous amount of pain,' according to the statement. The race was on lap 17 when Friesen's car started to go over the berm on the back straightaway and collided with the outside retaining wall, with the impact sending the car flipping into the air and erupting into flames as it rolled back onto the track. 3 Friesen's car hit the barrier and went flying Last Lap Insider/X The cockpit came to a rest in the middle of the track as pieces of the car lay around it. The racing series reported on social media that Friesen was alert and communicating with race officials and EMT on site before he was able to be extracted from the car. He was then taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. The racing circuit told CNY Central that race officials and first responders were given the same medical emergency training as NASCAR and IndyCar safety staffers go through.
