Facebook Memories: How to turn it off or filter by specific people and dates
Facebook Memories is a carefully thought-out feature that, every now and then, can remind you of some beautiful moments from the past. It works on nostalgia, and a whole lot of other feelings. But at the same time, it may not be enjoyable for everyone, especially when a specific memory ends up doing more harm than good. In such cases, Facebook gives you the option to disable the Memories feature entirely. And it is quite easy to do.

Firstly, this is a tutorial for the Facebook mobile app, so you will need to download the app before getting started.
Step 1: Open the Facebook mobile app and make sure you are signed in. In the bottom right corner, there is a menu option, tap on that.
Step 2: Now, you will see the Memories option. Tap on it. In the top right corner, there is an icon denoted by a gear, tap on it.
Step 3: Now, you can choose which memories you want to be notified about. Options include 'All Memories', 'Highlights', or 'None'. If you do not want to be notified about any memories whatsoever, choose 'None'. Otherwise, select 'All Memories' or 'Highlights' depending on your preference.
Note: You can also choose whether or not to be reminded about memories from Instagram, there is a toggle for that, so you can disable it if you wish.

If your memories involve a particular person and you want to hide them, here is what you need to do:
Step 1: Open the Memories section in the Facebook app, after opening the Menu, and tap on the gear icon.
Step 2: Scroll down and navigate to 'Hide Memories'. Here, you can choose specific people, dates, and even keywords.
Step 3: Under 'People', you can type out a name and then select them. Now, only memories involving this specific person will not show up.
Step 4: Ensure that 'None' is not selected in the Memory settings. If you have chosen to hide memories involving specific people, dates, or keywords, you will likely want to see other memories, so make sure the correct notification setting is selected.

If you're planning to buy a new smartphone right now, it may be prudent to wait a while, with June shaping up to be a month of power-packed launches, from the OnePlus 13s to the Infinix GT 30 Pro and even the Vivo T4 Ultra. Here's a look at all the phones expected to debut in India next month. The Infinix GT 30 Pro is set to debut in India on 3 June. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor — the same chipset that powers Motorola's Edge 60 Pro, which launched in India last month. The phone features what Infinix calls a 'Cyber Mecha Design', with white lighting on the Blade White variant and RGB lighting on the Dark Flare version. It also comes with shoulder triggers to offer users more control while gaming. While more details about the GT 30 Pro remain under wraps for now, its global debut has already given us a fair idea of what to expect from this new gaming-focused device. Vivo has confirmed that the T4 Ultra will launch in India soon, featuring a periscope telephoto camera with up to 100x zoom. The phone may come with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and a massive 7,550mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging. On the camera front, the Poco F7 is expected to offer a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra wide angle lens and a 20MP selfie shooter. The OnePlus Nord CE 5 has already received BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification in India and is expected to launch in June. Instagram adds 3:4 aspect ratio for uncropped, full-frame photo sharing
In a notable update aimed at enhancing user experience, Instagram has officially introduced support for 3:4 aspect ratio photographs on its platform. The change aligns with the default setting found on most smartphone cameras, allowing users to upload images without needing to crop them to fit Instagram's previously supported dimensions. Announced by Instagram head Adam Mosseri via Threads—Meta's microblogging service—the update means that photos taken in the 3:4 format will now appear on the platform exactly as captured. This new compatibility is available for both single-image uploads and carousel posts. Until now, Instagram primarily supported square (1:1) and slightly vertical (5:4 or 4:5) aspect ratios. The newly introduced format ensures a fuller display of original content, as seen in comparison images shared via Instagram's creator broadcast channel.
