Three Krishnagiri school students mop classroom; probe on
In the video, three school students of the PUPS at U Sinigiripalli were cleaning the classroom using a mop. Following this, parents asked the school education department to take action against the school headmistress, Sailaja, on Wednesday.
When TNIE spoke to Shoolagiri Block Education Officer, George, he said, 'The school has 39 students with two school management committee appointed teachers and a headmistress. Last Friday, a BaLA (Building as Learning Aid) painting was done in the school, and the paint was spilled on the floor. On Monday, while the HM and an SMC teacher were cleaning the spillage using a mop, three students allegedly used the mop playfully when the staff were away, and this was recorded by a parent on his phone.'
'We are enquiring. We will take necessary action,' he added.

GUWAHATI: A sixth Bangladeshi, apprehended by villagers and handed over to the police in Meghalaya's South West Khasi Hills district, died shortly after he was taken to a local health centre. At around 4:30 pm on Monday, police received information from the locals of Kaitha Kona village about the apprehension of the intruder, Akram. After rescuing him, the police took him to the health centre for treatment as he suffered grievous injuries. Five other Bangladeshi suspects – Mubarak Hussain, Mefus Rehman, Jangir Alom, Meruphur Rahman and Saem Hussain – were nabbed by the police and the BSF from different parts of the district on Saturday and Sunday with the help of the villagers. Meruphur Rahman, allegedly a constable of Bangladesh Police; and Mubarak Hussain are admitted at a local hospital while the three others were remanded to three-day police custody by a local court on Sunday. All these people were allegedly thrashed by the villagers.

'Following that incident, Sona stood firm on her decision not to change her religion, and she wanted a registered marriage. Their common friend and her husband from Adimali helped make the arrangements. But at the last moment, Ramees backed out of those plans and told her that the preparations for the marriage were being arranged at Aluva registrar's office. And under the pretext of taking her for the registration of marriage at Aluva, Ramees took Sona with him, but instead of going to the registrar's office, he took her to his house in Aluva. There, with the support of his parents, relatives, and close friends, he locked her inside a room. She was only released after she threatened to inform me,' Basil said. 'She was so afraid of her safety that she didn't even drink a drop of water from that house before returning,' he added.
