Red Roses star Kabeya revelling in fun-fuelled mentality at World Cup
England rugby star Sadia Kabeya is ready to have fun as the Red Roses seek global glory on home soil.
The 23-year-old is set to embark on a second major tournament with England, having burst onto the scene in 2021.
The undeniable best team in the world, England have external expectations to lift silverware this summer but Kabeya's aims are different from that.
'For me, it is hard because I have always played for the enjoyment, and I think it is natural in any professional sport for you to have ups and downs,' she explained, as part of a new LG OLED TV collaboration ahead of this summer.
'But I just want to be able to play with so much fun, and that is how I want people to see me on the pitch.
'I don't have to play rugby because I want to be fast, I want to hit somebody, I want to play rugby because Sadia has so much fun, and I want to have that much fun.
'I think in professional sport you lose that, and I want to gain that back and be that for someone watching, that would be amazing.'
Kabeya was a new face to the England team in New Zealand three years ago, when the Red Roses were beaten by the hosts in the final.
Since then, she has established herself as one of the most reliable members of the back row, but with that comes more pressure.
She added: 'The first time for me was a whirlwind. I was fresh into the squad, and it was a huge experience for me.
'I think this time it means that bit more, being at home and being a bit more cemented in the squad. To be able to hopefully represent my country at home would mean a lot.
'Three years ago was a baptism by fire. We played in record crowds at the time, and to play in that at 19 years old, the biggest stage for rugby, it taught me to deal with those crowds and with those big pressure moments.
'In a team like England, you are used to winning, but when you go to a big tournament, everything is different, everyone is on their A game, so I think what I have taken from those times is how to deal with those big pressure situations.'
The Red Roses and the Lionesses are both in action this summer and both will be on free-to-air TV, with LG helping the nation get closer to the action with LG OLED TVs.

'No matter what you are doing, no matter what sport you are playing, you can always see progression.
'With the cricket and the football happening at the same time and in the same year, it is quite a pinch-me moment to be a part of it. I am really excited to get into and be a part of it.'

Chelsea players to donate portion of Club World Cup winnings to family of Diogo Jota and André Silva
Chelsea players have decided to donate a portion of their Club World Cup bonuses to the family of Diogo Jota and André Silva, according to The Athletic. Jota and Silva were killed in a July car crash in Spain. Pedro Neto, who was teammates with Jota with Portugal and Wolverhampton Wanderers, signed with Chelsea in 2024. Chelsea won the expanded FIFA tournament last month after beating Paris Saint-Germain in the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The team's run in the event brought in an estimated $114.6 million to the club. Tributes to continue for Jota, Silva The soccer world began paying tribute to the brothers following their tragic deaths in early July. Moments of silence were held at matches, including the Women's EUROs and Club World Cup. Other tributes were seen at Oasis' first reunion concert in Wales and by players around the world performing Jota's video game celebration. Ahead of Friday's Premier League opener against Bournemouth, Liverpool have announced they will dedicate the cover of its match day program to Jota, who played 123 times for the club, and Silva. All players across the league will wear black arms bands this weekend and will take part in a moment of silence. Jota will also be immortalized with a statue at Anfield, Liverpool's home ground, and players will wear a "Forever 20" emblem on their jerseys this season in reference to his number. The No. 20 has also been permanently retired by the club, the first time that honor has been bestowed on a former player in club history. Jota's death led to a poignant moment of silence at the Club World Cup match between Fluminense and Al-Hilal last week, as Al-Hilal defenders Rúben Neves and João Cancelo — two of Jota's Portugal teammates — became emotional. The next day, Neves and Cancelo flew back to Portugal for Jota's funeral, in which Neves served as a pallbearer.

'Record A-levels' see Brighton College pupils off to top universities
Brighton College pupils have achieved record-breaking A-level results, the college claimed. The students allegedly attained the highest number of A*s in the school's history. In total, 97.3 per cent of grades were A* to B, with 83 per cent at A* to A. Nearly half of the grades were at A*.
