French father and daughter killed in Iceland were resident in Ireland, local media reports
Another French tourist, aged in her 60s, has been arrested in Iceland suspected of murdering her husband and adult daughter while the three were on holidays in the country.
The two deceased were found dead at the Edition Hotel in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik, while the arrested woman was found alive with stab injuries.

The two deceased also had 'injuries, including stab injuries, but there will be a further investigation that will reveal what kind of injuries are involved', Reykjavik police officer Aevar Palmi Palmason told state broadcaster RÚV.
Ævar Pálmi Pálmason, assistant chief of the Central Investigation Department of the Metropolitan Police, told local media that the tourists were residents in Ireland.
It was also reported in Icelandic media that the family had travelled to the country from Ireland.
Crime is incredibly low in Iceland. In 2021, the country with a population of around 370,000 had a total of two recorded homicides.

He was taken in custody on Wednesday morning, Le Parisien reported. Cops were joined by river brigade authorities who scrambled to bring the bodies out of the water last week. A source close to the investigation told Actu17: "There are three men of African descent and a fourth of North African descent." Kick Francais said on X it would cooperate with authorities and was undertaking a review of its French content. "Our priority is to protect creators and ensure a safer environment on Kick," it said, adding that "all co-streamers who participated in this live broadcast have been banned pending the ongoing investigation". Kick is an Australia-registered live streaming platform that shares revenue with its content creators. Chappaz said a judicial investigation is underway, that she had referred the matter to digital and audiovisual communication regulator Arcom and that she had filed a report to Pharos, France's internet portal for reporting illicit internet content. She said she asked Kick for explanations, adding: "the responsibility of online platforms for dissemination of illegal content is not optional: it is the law".
