And the second generation star claims defeat to the 11-1 American would be so shameful he would not be able to show his face.
Asked if he would quit boxing forever with a loss, Chavez Jr, 39, said: "Yes, man." Before switching to his native Spanish.
Comedian Doknow translated to: "He says if he loses this fight, he's done. He's done with boxing, he'll never fight again.
"He'll go into hiding for two years and then maybe come back because he'd be embarrassed to lose to a man like Jake Paul."

Paul, 28, hit back with: "Well, start planning it out buddy."
Chavez Jr won the WBC title in 2011 before making three defences of the green and gold belt his dad helped make so prestigious.
But in recent years, dedication has plagued Chavez Jr's career while struggling with substance abuse.
He is now a year sober meanwhile Paul is coming off a win over Mike Tyson - who controversially returned aged 58 in November.

His only loss came against Tommy Fury, 26, via split-decision in Saudi Arabia in 2023, winning five on the spin since.
And Paul says victory over Chavez Jr puts him in line to earn a WBC and WBA world ranking - paving the way for a shock title shot.
He said: "My goal is to become world champion and the WBA and WBC plan on ranking me depending on my performance. And once I'm ranked I can go for the title shot.
"He's a formidable opponent, former world champion, it's a great, test ten rounds to get ready for what will ultimately be a world championship fight one day."
Badou Jack, 41, currently holds the WBC title and has opened the door to fighting Paul in the past.
Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez, 34, is the unified WBA and WBO champ and returns on Paul's undercard to fight Yuniel Dorticos, 39.
And Jai Opetaia, 29, is Australia's undefeated pound-for-pound star holding the IBF belt.

Harris believes adaptation key to Eastbourne second round
The Nottingham-born star and former Eastbourne semi-finalist fell short in qualifying but entered the main draw as a lucky loser, and made sure not to waste his second chance by defeating Norrie in straight sets 6-4 6-4 in a blustery battle of the Brits. Harris salvaged seven out of the eight break points in their encounter - four of which came at 5-4 in the second set as he stepped up to serve for the match - en route to clinching the contest in an hour and 25 minutes. And Harris believes that the key to his victory lay in acclimatising quicker than Norrie to the tricky conditions. "I thought it was a great match in the conditions," said Harris. "I came out quick out of the blocks so I'm very happy with how I played. "It was the two matches in qualifying and getting used to the wind that helped me get the edge at the start. "I was timing the ball a lot better in the wind today and served better and that always helps on the grass." Harris was one of several Brits in action on Tuesday, including British women's No.1 Emma Raducanu. Raducanu defeated American Ann Li in a three-set thriller 6(5)-7 6-3 6-1 to set up a second round clash with Australian teenager Maya Joint. Joining Raducanu in the round of 16 is Jodie Burrage, who defeated Japan's Mokuya Uchijima in straight sets 6-3 6-2 to confirm a meeting with reigning Wimbledon champion Barbora Kreicikova, who defeated fellow Brit Harriet Dart. Krejcikova beat Dart 6-3 6-7(4) 7-5 after two hours and 45 minutes, with the win holding an added significance as the Czech star's first of this year's grass court season. British No.3 Sonay Kartal battled bravely against Jelena Ostapenko but could not find a way past the former champion, losing 6-3 7-6(2) Elsewhere, George Loffhagen went the distance against Reilly Opelka but was ultimately defeated 7-6(6) 3-6 7-6(1) by the American. It was a similar story for Ilkley Open runner-up Jack Pinnington Jones, who lost to Portugal's Nuno Borges 4-6 6-3 6-3. Jacob Fearnley living life on the grass to the fullest
The British No.2 eased comfortably into the second round after a straight sets success over Flavio Cobolli, taking down the fifth seed 6-2 6-2 in the last action of the day. Fearnley's success over the Italian continues a strong run of form for the 24-year-old, who memorably claimed his first-ever ATP tour quarter-final at Queen's last week. The switch from West Kensington to East Sussex has been seamless for Fearnley and he is hungry for more. "It was good fun - thanks to everyone for sticking around because I know it was a long day, he said. "It was a great match, and I was happy I was able to get on centre. "I got a lot of confidence from last week and I'm really enjoying my time here at Eastbourne. It was tricky conditions but I was happy with the way I played, and hopefully I can keep the momentum going for the next match. "I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a long day in windy conditions. I didn't know if it was going to rain or what court I would be on so there were quite a few variables that could've affected the way I played but I came here with a good energy and I'm definitely happy with my performance. "You can get a bit on edge with the wind affecting your shot so I wanted to commit to every ball and I stumbled a bit but all in all it was pretty clean. "Getting off to a good start is a good thing. My confidence grew as the match went on and he sensed it and it's late at night and he doesn't want to be there too long with the way I was playing." The next name on Fearnley's list is good friend Marcos Giron of the United States and the British No.2 is raring for a chance to test his mettle against the American. Fearnley added: "He is a great player on grass. He hits the ball pretty flat and is a nice guy and I'm looking forward to the match. We've never played before but we'll see what happens." Fearnley was one of several Brits in action on Tuesday, with several of his compatriots putting on a show on the Eastbourne lawns. Former Eastbourne semi-finalist Billy Harris joined Fearnley in the round of 16 after defeating former British No.1 Cameron Norrie. And there was similar success for Jodie Burrage, who advanced into the last 16 of the women's draw alongside Emma Raducanu courtesy of a straight sets victory over Japan's Mokuya Uchijima. But it wasn't to be for British No.3 Sonay Kartal, who lost out to former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko 6-3 7-6(2). It was a similar story for George Loffhagen and Ilkley Open runner-up Jack Pinnington Jones, who each lost in three sets to Reilly Opelka and Nuno Borges respectively. Max Aarons highlights ‘new energy' and looks forward to life at Rangers
The 25-year-old former Norwich full-back arrives at Ibrox having spent the second half of last season on loan at Valencia. Aarons, who made a £7million transfer to Bournemouth immediately after being part of the England squad that won the Under-21 European Championship two years ago, feels he is joining the Light Blues at a good stage in his career. 🎙️ Watch our exclusive first interview with Max Aarons as he spoke to @RangersTV after joining the club. — Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) June 25, 2025 'I think now I've got a lot of experience, different leagues and I've played a lot of games,' he said in a club interview when asked what he will bring to the Light Blues. 'I think hopefully that experience, a new energy, and I think Rangers fans can be excited. I'm really looking forward to it.' The move to Glasgow reunites Aarons with Gers boss Russell Martin, who was coming towards the end of his time at Norwich while he was emerging from the academy into the first team. The new recruit said Martin was 'huge' in his development with 'little bits of help and advice along the way'. 'First and foremost, the size of this club was the main thing in coming here and Russ, when I was coming through at Norwich, was huge,' he said. 'Having a relationship with a coach and knowing how they work is huge for any player, so that was massive. Alongside the size of this club, I think everything just matched up perfectly.' Aarons also knows Gers players Dujon Sterling, Rabbi Matondo and Kieran Dowell from his time at Norwich and he feels he has a good grasp of the demands he will encounter at his new club as they bid to try to challenge Celtic for the Premiership title under their new American owners. 'I was speaking with one of my family members last night, actually, and I said that the pressure of playing for a club of this size is something that really excites me,' he said. 'I feel like I play my best when I have that, so I can't wait. 'I think any game with Rangers involved is a huge game. I can't wait to take in Ibrox and the fans, the whole thing. I definitely felt walking through the doors here, the weight of the shirt and how much it means to everyone.' Aarons becomes Rangers' second signing of the summer following the arrival of midfielder Lyall Cameron from Dundee. Manager Martin, who has also been linked with Leicester defender Conor Coady, said: 'Max is a player who I have always kept a keen eye on since he was emerging through the youth ranks while I was coming to the end of my time at Norwich as a player. 'He is a wonderfully talented player who is hungry to develop, improve and help deliver success for his side. We are pleased to bring him on board for this season, and I believe he will be a fantastic addition to the squad.'
