Hyun Bin heartened, surprised by Filipino fans' warm hospitality during first PH visit
On Friday, the South Korean star met members of the press before holding a fan meeting with his fans.
According to the 'Crash Landing on You' star, he had always wanted to visit the country.
'The Philippines has always been in my list and I did not have so much time yet to go around and kind of experience the Philippines, but, you know, the way they have welcomed me here in the Philippines is really, really heartwarming. And it's more amazing than I expected,' he said.
Aside from the heartwarming welcome, Hyun Bin was also surprised by 'the warm hospitality of how they welcomed me in the Philippines and, of course, the bright energy that I have witnessed.'
The visit also marked the first time he got to try adobo.
'I also had a meal. It was very delicious and amazing. I got a suggestion, a recommendation for Filipino food, which was adobo. It was very delicious and enjoyable,' he said.
Hyun Bin is famous for the popular K-drama "Crash Landing on You," where he starred alongside his now wife Son Ye Jin.
The actor also starred in "My Lovely Sam Soon" and "Secret Garden," among others.

Did Hyun Bin ever take home a souvenir from a drama set? Fans have cute answer for him
Fans could not help but tease Hyun Bin during his first-ever fan meet in the Philippines. In a video shared by GMA Integrated News reporter Sandra Aguinaldo, the South Korean actor was asked by Filipino singer Martin Nievera if he had ever kept a souvenir from one of his projects. Hyun Bin answered "yes" before Martin asked him about the souvenir he kept. Shortly after, the crowd went wild and chanted Son Ye Jin's name. Hyun Bin then proceeded to ask one of the audience about the answer they were shouting. After the fan whispered it to him, Hyun Bin can't help but smile. Martin asked, "Is she right?" "She told me, my wife," Hyun Bin said which earned a laugh from both Martin and the audience. "Not a souvenir," Martin replied. Hyun Bin then shared that the souvenir he kept was the name plate of his character Kim Joo Won in "Secret Garden." "Whenever I do a project and after that if there are ever some props that were made to commemorate the project I did, I talk to the props team and ask if I can get one," he said. "The one I remember right was when during 'Secret Garden' it was Kim Joo Won's name plate on his desk. And after I got that prop for a long time it was on my personal desk," Hyun Bin added. Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin got married in March 2022. They welcomed their firstborn in November of the same year. Bianca Umali reveals artistry behind her GMA Gala 2025 outfit
Bianca Umali turned heads at the GMA Gala 2025, and a week after the star-studded event, she's giving a closer look at the artistry behind her stunning two-piece ensemble. On Instagram, the Kapuso Prime Gem shared a reel documenting the creation of her custom look by Filipino designer Jerome Lorico. "What you see here is more than just an outfit—it's the culmination of craftsmanship, heritage, and vision," Bianca wrote. As seen on the reel, her top was sculpted from real capiz shells, each hand-cut, sanded, and molded directly on her body. The result was a shimmering piece that Bianca described as "armor and adornment in one." Meanwhile, the skirt was crafted from handwoven cotton and gold thread with piña cloth. "Every pleat and panel [were] designed to flow with my stride, to catch the air in moments of stillness and in motion," she said. To complete the look, Bianca carried a handmade bag that echoed the materials and tones of her outfit, "tying every element into a cohesive visual story." According to Bianca, the result of her GMA Gala 2025 outfit was a reminder of why "fashion is an art form." "One that requires patience, collaboration, and a deep respect for both culture and craft," she said. "Wearing it feels like carrying the hands, hearts, and history of those who made it possible," she added. Bianca currently stars as Terra in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre."
