Paul then challenged Usyk to an MMA fight, which left boxing fans baffled
After the Ukrainian superstar extended his undefeated streak to a staggering 24 fights, Paul, 28, stepped inside the ring to confront the victor.
The two men had a tense face-off in front of the packed crowd in London with the controversial YouTuber looking to tease a future clash between them.
But it all turned rather strange later on social media when the Problem Child challenged the undisputed boxing champion to an MMA fight.
Paul tweeted: "Congrats to one of the greatest heavyweights of all time @usykaa on a huge win.
"I respect you a lot. Now we do an MMA match for the world @MostVpromotions."
Fans were left baffled and stormed the comments' section to state the obvious.
One fan tweeted: "So you box MMA fighters and now you wanna fight MMA against boxers?! Make it make sense."
Another commented: "Lmao. God forbid you box an active boxer, huh?"

And that one stated: "So when it's and MMA legend, you box. When it's a boxer, you do MMA."
Ever since crossing over to boxing, Paul has mainly shared the ring with retired athletes - mainly from MMA - who never boxed.
The social media sensation also had a highly-publicised and controversial bout last year with a then 58-year-old Mike Tyson.
The promoter has only faced one active boxer in Tommy Fury, to whom he lost.

Potential opponents for Derek Chisora's farewell fight – from Oleksandr Usyk to Anthony Joshua
Derek Chisora 's next bout will be the 50th of a long career, and if he stays true to his word, it will also be his final fight. Shortly after his most recent bout, a win over Otto Wallin, Chisora took a novel approach to matchmaking, presenting three posters to the crowd and asking them to choose his next opponent. The options he presented included Daniel Dubois, Anthony Joshua, and Oleksandr Usyk, with the Co-op Live crowd seeming to prefer either Joshua or Usyk. Oleksandr Usyk – one last shot at glory Chisora's victory over Wallin in February saw the British veteran become the International Boxing Federation's mandatory challenger at heavyweight, although the title picture with the IBF is somewhat murky. That is complicated by the fact the IBF have ordered an eliminator between Frank Sanchez and Frank Ajagba, suggesting that Chisora could be bumped out of the queue. At the time of Chisora's win Dubois was the IBF champion, but he has since lost his strap to undisputed heavyweight king Usyk. One of the three options listed by Chisora after his most recent fight, Usyk also implied that he was open to facing the Brit in the aftermath of his win over Dubois. Usyk stated: 'Maybe it's Tyson Fury. Maybe we have three options – Derek Chisora, and Anthony Joshua. Maybe Joseph Parker. I cannot say now.' The pair first faced each other in 2020, where Usyk took a unanimous decision win over Chisora. Two of the judges had it very tight at 115-113 in favour of the Ukrainian, but five years later many would expect Usyk to be a clear winner. Martin Bakole – Chisora's chance to fight in Africa? A chance meeting between Chisora and Martin Bakole on IFL TV produced some very amusing quotes, with the former having a go at the latter for piling on the pounds in between fights. Having carved out a niche as the heavyweight division's boogeyman, Bakole's stock has dropped slightly after a knockout loss to Parker, followed by a subdued draw against Ajagba. Chisora is another vanquished Parker foe, and a contest between a heavy-hitting puncher like Bakole and a fighter who doesn't know when to quit in could produce a thriller. A major sticking point could be the choice of venue. In that aforementioned interview, Bakole said he wanted a big stadium fight in the UK, whilst Chisora has frequently spoke about his final fight being staged in Africa. Born in Zimbabwe, Chisora moved to the UK with his family as a teenager, whilst Bakole, of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has relocated to Scotland to help his boxing career. A return to Africa for both fighters could give Chisora the romantic farewell he is after. Fabio Wardley – passing of the torch Whilst not quite a prospect at the age of 30, Fabio Wardley has emerged as one of the faces of Britain's next generation of heavyweights. He claimed the interim WBA title at the start of June to cement his position as a top contender, but with all four belts in the possession of one man, it is a waiting game for Wardley. A fight with Chisora poses enough threat to make things interesting and attract a crowd, with both fighters proving they are strong ticketsellers. For Chisora, a fight with Wardley could represent a changing of the guard. If he wins, he goes out on a high, while there would be no shame in losing to a man 11 years his junior. For Wardley, not only would it be a big name on the CV but a step up in opposition, both in terms of quality and experience. Chisora's willingness to step into the ring with pretty much anyone has seen him pick up a few losses, but Wardley has not faced many seasoned veterans in the first 20 fights of his career so this could offer him a new challenge. Anthony Joshua – friends to foes Forty-nine fights into a professional career, you start to run out of opponents on a similar level to your own. Chisora is prone to getting into the ring with the same fighter multiple times, as evidenced by his losing record in a trilogy of bouts with Tyson Fury. When it comes to top level British fighters, there are not many that Chisora is yet to come to blows with. Chisora's longevity means he has shared the ring with names such as David Haye and Danny Williams, whilst he is well acquainted with Fury, Dillian Whyte, and Joe Joyce, prominent fighters of his own generation. One fighter he has not fought is Anthony Joshua, who happened to come through the same Finchley ABC gym as Chisora. Chisora frequently refers to Joshua as his brother, but the Zimbabwean-born boxer has called out the younger man before. With Joshua rebuilding following a shock loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 and elbow surgery earlier this year, this all-British heavyweight clash could finally be made. Daniel Dubois – wounded former champion looking to rebuild In an ideal world, Chisora would be fighting Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title this year. However, the option to unify all four belts in boxing's glamour division came up for Dubois, and no heavyweight would turn that down. Dubois suffered another knockout loss to Usyk, demoting him back to contender status in the heavyweight division. At only 27, Dubois has plenty of time to get back into the mix, but appropriate opponents will be hard to come by. Chisora could then present the perfect challenge. An experienced fighter capable of asking questions of anyone, Dubois' credentials – especially the debate over a tendency to 'quit' - would truly be tested. Dubois was another of the three names listed by Chisora after his victory over Wallin, suggesting he is more than open to the fight. Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions ‘building a movement' after signing five more female stars
Jake Paul 's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has announced five new world-class female fighters on their roster, including British former bantamweight world champion Shannon Courtenay. In their announcement post on social media, MVP welcomed their new signings and declared that they are 'not just building a roster – we're building a movement.' Courtenay joins Paul's ever-expanding stable of women's boxing stars, including Amanda Serrano, Alycia Baumgardner and Ellie Scotney, in their latest move to consolidate their domination over the top level of the female game. The Brit became the WBA bantamweight champion in 2021 after a gruelling war with Australia's Ebanie Bridges, but was stripped of her title on the scales later that year before her fight with Jamie Mitchell. After a mixed run of form and injury troubles, Courtenay got back to winning ways earlier this year, outpointing Bec Connolly and says, with the support of her new promoters, she can find her way back to a world title. Courtenay said in a statement: 'My main focus is becoming a two-time world champion, and with the backing of MVP, I know I can go on to winning more titles.' There will be no better place to hunt a world title for Courtenay, with MVP recently making women's sports history on their Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 bill. Not only was it the first all-female card at Madison Square Garden, but it became the most-watched female sports event of all time. Courtenay officially entered the MVP stable alongside four other fighters: Desley Robinson, Sa'Rai Brown, Jasmine Artiga and Yesica Nery Plata. Desley Robinson is the unified IBF and WBO middleweight champion from Australia, who holds a record of 10-3 (3). Sa'Rai Brown will make her professional debut under the MVP banner, with an amateur record of 50-9 (6) and multiple national championships to her name. Jasmine Artiga is an undefeated former WBA super flyweight champion who has accumulated a record of 13-0-1 (6). Finally, Yesica Nery Plata previously held the WBC light flyweight title and has a record of 30-2 (3). Speaking on their new additions, Paul and MVP co-founder Nikisa Bidarian said in a statement: 'Shannon, Desley, Jasmine, Sa'Rai, and Yesica represent five powerful stories, four countries with proud boxing legacies, and one shared mission: to compete and win at the highest level. 'The UK has the best concentration of elite female boxers in the world, and MVP is strategically focused on building out a robust British roster that will allow us to bring MVP events to the market. Shannon joins Ellie Scotney, Chantelle Cameron, Savannah Marshall and Ramla Ali, who are all power players in women's boxing.' A DAZN subscription provides access to over 185 fights a year across a range of combat sports from the world's best promoters.

Boxing's most exciting weight classes ranked
We are now well into the second half of 2025, and there are still plenty of fights to be made before the end of the year. Some divisions are thriving, while it is a quieter period for other weight classes. But which weight category is the most exciting right now? It's time to rank the top five divisions that are set to deliver thrilling matchups in the near future. 5. Heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk cemented his place as the best heavyweight on the planet by stopping Daniel Dubois inside five rounds at Wembley. Now, we want to see who can step up and challenge the Ukrainian great before he hangs up his gloves. Usyk has already seen off Dubois, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, and it is time to bring new contenders into the mix who can generate excitement. Joseph Parker and Moses Itauma could get a shot a glory soon, while the likes of Agit Kabayel and Fabio Wardley are also waiting in the wings. Usyk is in the final stages of his illustrious career, and it will be intriguing to see who he faces next, and who takes over the division once he retires. 4. Lightweight This division is currently topped by two elite southpaws – Shakur Stevenson and Gervonta Davis. Both men are undefeated and a super-fight between the pair would be one of the biggest clashes in boxing. Davis was held to a draw in his last fight with Lamont Roach, and they are scheduled to face each other again in a rematch next month. The winner should face Stevenson next. Meanwhile, rising US star Abdullah Mason will face Britain's Sam Noakes for the vacant WBO title in November, while the lightweight division also has the highly-rated Raymond Muratalla and Floyd Schofield climbing the rankings. Throw amateur standout Andy Cruz into the mix and there are plenty of excellent fights to whet the appetite at 135lb. 3. Featherweight The featherweight division currently has four champions with just two losses between them. The contrast in styles between the four titlists makes this a fascinating weight class to follow. Mexico's Rafael Espinoza is a force of nature at 6ft 1in, with his incredible work-rate overwhelming his opponents. Nick Ball sets his own ferocious pace, while standing at only 5ft 2in tall. WBC champion Stephen Fulton is a classy operator while Angelo Leo burst onto the scene by knocking out the hard-punching Luis Alberto Lopez last year. Unification clashes should be in the offing shortly, and WBC interim champion Bruce Carrington is only getting better with every fight. Pound-for-pound great Naoya Inoue is also expected to move up to featherweight at the back end of 2025, adding even more interest to this red-hot division. 2. Super-welterweight There have been a lack of star names at 154lb in recent years, but that looks set to change. Jaron Ennis has just vacated his welterweight titles to move up and Vergil Ortiz is well positioned as the WBC interim champion. A fight between Ennis and Ortiz has been mooted for a while and could soon become reality. Meanwhile, Xander Zayas became boxing's youngest male world champion on Saturday, WBC titlist Sebastian Fundora is a major handful at 6ft 6in tall, and IBF king Bakhram Murtazaliev is coming off the biggest win of his career over Tim Tszyu. Terence Crawford could also drop back down to super-welterweight after facing Canelo Alvarez at 168lb in September. A future fight between Crawford and Ennis would be mouthwatering after they narrowly missed each other at welterweight. 1. Light-heavyweight Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev have already delivered two modern-day classics, and a trilogy is expected to take place in early 2026. They are the standout light-heavyweight names, but David Benavidez is also on the rise and is now the WBC champion after Bivol vacated the belt. There is plenty of British interest in this division too. Anthony Yarde will challenge Benavidez for his title in November, while Callum Smith, Joshua Buatsi and Willy Hutchinson are all ranked inside The Ring's top 10. Ben Whittaker may also fancy his chances of getting into the mix after ending his rivalry with Liam Cameron in emphatic fashion earlier this year. With three pound-for-pound stars in Bivol, Beterbiev and Benavidez at the top of the division, and several Brits circling for their own opportunities, the light-heavyweight division is the cream of the crop in boxing right now. DAZN is the home of combat sports, broadcasting over 185 fights a year from the world's best promoters, including Matchroom, Queensberry, Golden Boy, Misfits, PFL, BKFC, GLORY and more. An Annual Saver subscription is a one-off cost of £119.99 / $224.99 (for 12 months access), that's just 64p / $1.21 per fight. There is also a Monthly Flex Pass option (cancel any time) at £24.99 / $29.99 per month.
