Allahabad High Court reopens Rahul Gandhi's citizenship case after new evidence
Previously, on 14 May 2025, the High Court had directed the Central Government to act on the matter. In response, the Citizenship Wing of the Ministry of Home Affairs sent a formal request to the British Government via the Indian Embassy, seeking details about Rahul Gandhi's citizenship and passport.
According to the petitioner, the UK Government has since provided the requested citizenship information to Indian authorities, and the petitioner has been notified accordingly.
The case is currently under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) Anti-Corruption Branch-II in New Delhi.
Rahul Gandhi is facing allegations of violating his constitutional oath and submitting a misleading election manifesto by allegedly withholding information regarding foreign citizenship.

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav to leave for Dubai today for investment outreach
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 13 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is scheduled to go on an official visit to Dubai in the UAE and Spain from July 13 to July 19. The aim of his visit is to bring global investment to Madhya Pradesh, encourage technology sharing, and create new job opportunities. As per the release, Yadav will leave for Dubai on Sunday afternoon. Soon after reaching, he will meet several well-known people to tell them about the strengths of Madhya Pradesh. He will speak about investment, education, and building strong cultural ties between Madhya Pradesh and Dubai. He will also meet members of the Indian community living there. During his visit, Yadav will also visit a temple in Dubai whose foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from this, he will also hold the first international roadshow in Dubai. Yadav's visit will start with several meetings. There will be important discussions along with lunch in the initial meeting. Reliance Group SR Vice President Farhan Ansari, as well as Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammad Al Yamahi will also be present in this meeting. In this meeting, topics like strategic investment cooperation, education, youth exchange program, parliamentary dialogue and cultural friendship between Madhya Pradesh and Dubai will be discussed. After this, Yadav will hold a meeting with the Indian business delegation in Dubai. The Chief Minister will visit the grand BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. The foundation stone of this temple was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2024. This temple is the first traditional stone-built Hindu temple in the Middle East region. It is a living symbol of spiritual tolerance and cultural harmony between India and the United Arab Emirates. Maharashtra Dy CM Ajit Pawar inspects development projects in Pune
Pune (Maharashtra) [India], July 13 (ANI): Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday inspected various local issues such as water-logging, traffic congestion and development projects during his visit to Pune. Giving details, Ajit Pawar in a post on X said, 'Today, I inspected various local issues and the development works of projects such as Pune Metro Line - 3 at Rajiv Gandhi IT Park, Hinjawadi in Pune'. 'This included a review of the work at Station No. 06 Croma, Hinjawadi Station No. 03, Hinjawadi Station No. 02, Helipad Circle Hinjawadi, Maan Road, Maan Village, Laxmi Chowk, and various other locations in the Hinjawadi area. Additionally, I looked into issues such as waterlogging during the rains, road conditions, traffic congestion, and other various problems in this area, and instructed the attending officials to take immediate action. On Friday, Ajit Pawar urged the Central Government to immediately stop the illegal import of substandard raisins from China, citing significant losses to grape-growing farmers and national revenue, according to an official statement. Pawar wrote to Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, highlighting the growing problem of poor-quality raisins being smuggled into India and evading import duties and taxes. The influx of cheap, substandard raisins has led to a drastic drop in the prices of domestically produced raisins by nearly Rs 100 - Rs 150 per kilogram, causing major financial distress to grape farmers. The illegal imports are resulting in significant tax evasion, leading to losses in government revenue. Pawar has urged the Centre to take urgent corrective measures. He has called for strict action to halt the illegal import and sale of these raisins. Pawar recommended strengthening quality checks and tax collection mechanisms at ports, airports, and marketplaces to ensure proper inspection and compliance. In his letter, he requested the government to take steps to stabilise raisin prices during the peak season and protect farmers from further losses. The issue was brought to Pawar's attention by the Maharashtra State Grape Growers' Association, which recently met with him to raise concerns about the impact of these imports on the local farming community.
